Have you done the memory/Drunkard yet?

Where is the storage?

I want to transfer the save game from my pirate copy to the newly purchased steam copy. I paste over the file in appData and the game goes "failed to load save data". The pirate copy is working fine. Some trick i need to do? delete some log files in the game directory?

I am at Genichiro and I really think I should have received a shiny new sword by now. Am I stuck with the starting sword?

Which fucking thing spreads dragon rot: resurrecting yourself, "full"death, or both? I keep reading people saying it's one or the other

where is the best place to farm akio's sugar? or a vendor that sells it..

also fuck headless, dude is constantly doing his warp behind you shit and all the fog makes me not be able to move, fucking shit boss for niggers

I’m a little lost. Do I need to kill Butterface before I can continue? The giant snake past the general makes me think I’m not supposed to go that way yet

cute snek

What video best explains how to play the game. Just got to Ashina castle and the spear miniboss has killed me 20 times and I've never even gotten close to killing him.

I don't own the game but I'm pretty sure you don't get any new main weapons, only new prosthetic stuff.

you have to sneak past the snek. You're going the right way, just keep at it user!

All of you faggots in this thread should be ashamed of yourselves and yes, I'm gonna say it: Git gud.

Attached: 1546640808172.png (900x900, 101K)

Okay, I’ll work on it more, thanks

Full death gives dragonrot. Resurrecting doesn't do anything.

>spear miniboss
the dude on the horsey? Just run around until you get the grapple prompts and fuck his shit up. Rinse, repeat

Just press L1 bro

raging bull

Seconding this

I can't afford it and pirating would get my ISP spiking me

Attached: 1464040999967.png (1006x724, 746K)

>only two snaps left
how do I beat this fucking butterfly bitch? I don't know where to farm snaps after I run out of these

Attached: 1533699315902.png (447x393, 250K)

After killing Centipid boss in the little room that gets fog blocked in the Gun Mountain, where do I go? Door to the outside is locked. The hole on the floor makes me go back to the shrine after getting some items.

The Seven Spears? Just rush him, he will be forced to block you, and his riposte attack is a joke, you can literally hit him for free twice while he is casting it and easily parry it.

Beat the horseman and took like 7 tries. It seems like the best ideas are to just wait for the grappler icon/wait for forward swing attacks to get 1-2 hits unless he staggers and just block/attempt to deflect the aoe spins.

I felt like sometimes he'd just nick me despite being outside of weapon reach but its a From game after all. Its very odd the amount of hitbox porn this game feels like it has then you see 1 bullshit thing and you're reminded where you are. I guess ill go do the butterfly shit next maybe I should've done it first? And ill go get the firecracker cheese tool didn't know it was in the ogre area.

use the firecracker prosthetic. Bonus points if you get the skill that lets you follow-up strike quickly after using them. Causes the bull to rear on its legs for a few seconds and you can get 5-6 good hits in.

Otherwise just run around and try to get to his sides/behind him

Make the version match. Game is on 1.02.

Remember the general miniboss and his little group of faggots? Near the path to the headless cunt, right? Drop down near the destroyed bridge and you should be able to keep progressing to Ashina castle of fun and games.

You can also backtrack to some old lady near the area where you first fight your first general mini-boss. Should give you a bell to use at the Buddha statue near the sculptor so you can do the memory level.

how i beat this guy

Attached: sekiro Screenshot 2019.03.23 - 21.18.24.45.png (1920x1080, 3.78M)

How many dragon droplets can I buy from the one cuck after the horseman? Is there anyone people have found yet with a infinite supply? Because fuck ill buy a shit ton to avoid the shit WT mechanic and stop being nervous and more focused on having fun.

I didn’t use a single snap beating her wtf all you have to do is run the fuck around till they dissapear

you don't need snaps, just spam dodge attack

Is there different kanji for swipe/thrust/grab?

DO NOT STEP ON SNEK

Attached: 8UFqWRz.jpg (574x500, 106K)

what do with snek hearts

Shurikens, yeah I know, who knew they would work on bosses. The shurikens damage, build posture and stuns them. Throw them with breathing room and run away from his super charge.

anyone know how many deaths you have to have before dragonrot starts to happen?

Are there stages to the dragonrot, or just (nothing - dragonrot - death)?

The fuck am I meant to do here?

Attached: snekiro.png (1920x1080, 2.79M)

It's how you get the "good" ending. You'll figure it out.

LISTEN HERE, NIGGER. It took me three tries to fight Butterfly and I only had one snapseed that I immediately and accidentally wasted before the fight.
>phase 1 do what you were doing
>phase 2
>Immediately run to the statue and wait for her to spawn there
>You should be able to get some free hits in
>From here on out, do not give up the pressure on the dried up cunt so that she doesn't spawn her ghosts
That's it really. Shuriken her when she gets on her strands, etc. Just make sure you're keeping the pressure on her from the moment you position yourself in front of the statue.

Attached: 1547125463165.jpg (540x405, 46K)

use ninjutsu in the monkey and you will see

git gud

this
is there a way to tell when your npc are just about to die so you can pop the cure for the most value?

3 full deaths gets dragonrot. Resurrecting doesn't do anything. No clue when the NPC's actually die.

I'm one step ahead of you breh; I couldn't afford things so hard I sold my gaymer PC, so I'm now physically incapable of playing it even if I had the money (which I don't)

Attached: 1549907192483.png (398x321, 67K)

its not actually a set amount of deaths its a % chance
t. has died 6 times no crotch rot

They all die in one hit and when you've killed enough she stops it herself. Also you can hit her when she casts it

Well I got the immortal severance ending already, I must've missed something

>3 full deaths
bullshit, I must've died 20+ times before I got the first dragonrot cutscene

Help, I dunno what to do now.

Attached: 1553136484629.jpg (1200x675, 100K)

Wait really? That is fucking weird.

where the fuck can I farm ako's sugar

thanks for the advice guys, i'll give it another shot

>Ashina castle, antecamber
>Senpou temple
>Abandoned dungeon

Where shall I go?

Antechamber, kill blue sammus and old bitch, jump on wooden beams.

>mfw people complain about the ogre
try doing him on ng+ babbies
every single attack 1 shots you even with 16 vitality + fromsofts legendary enemies attack tracking makes for a shit time

Attached: 1391882997123.gif (444x250, 2.7M)

how the fuck do you beat the dude defending the pagoda in the memory? He fucks my shit up immediately, and there's no way to sneak up to him

help with this i dont know what to do

Sprint around him, jumping to the side every time he charges, and use firecracker to scare it.

[important] after final killing the snake and landing on the edge afterwards, I accidentally fell off the broken bridge rather than continuing along the ledge
from the plank before the plunge i can see that there is an item further up the ledge but I can't find any way of getting to it
is it important?

The Red and White Pinwheel and the White Pinwheel, what are they for?

Alrighty.

>People whining about Ogre
Was about to die once to him and my friend told me just jump. Jumping backwards negates any attack he has and leaves for punish time hes a joke.

The CODEX version is 1.02

you get a 2nd sword later but its for special purposes only. Bosses give you a +1 on attack if you offer their memory at a statue.

Attached: 20190323205503_1.jpg (1920x1080, 175K)

Kill the mobs around him luring with the shuriken and then tag team him with the friendly NPC.

you mean the drunk guy? just lure him and ambush him once, then kill him off with the npc standing near there

O'Rin is unironically destroying my feelings for the game, death by death. Difficulty was manageable for the most part up to her but now it's absurd. I feel bad for anyone fighting this bitch on consoles cause her attacks are INSTANT.

Screenshot. If you mean drunk Juz, you can sneak on him.

Literally the most important area in the game and you just fucked your ending.

Purple guy is a hard enemy, there is no surefire way. Just wear down his health to make him stagger faster

Consumables that enemies can drop, nothing important.

bro...
you aint gonna like the answer

sorry, I wasn't specific enough.

Not the drunk dude, I already beat him. The dude chilling on the pagoda off to the side where the eyepatch guy said there was some treasure in

just a general question. What is the death limit before Dragon Rot kicks in and fucks over my NPCs? I just got by the Drunk asshole. Had a death from the flames where you meet your father because jump mechanics are QUALITY when even the smallest roof causes you to bonk and second on sneaking through the first Snake encounter since it dunked me off a cliff

The monks drop sugars on a regular basis, are you at that point?

Had the same issue. Deleted my save after that. Pissed me off so much.

You actually can deathblow him. Start the fight and then just run away until he deaggros then go back up and stab that piece of shit in the back.

Run away from him and come back and sneak attack him in one hit

read the text on the sugars, they literally tell you which enemy drops them

Got to Genichiro Ashina, how do I beat this faggot? Am I meant to fight him now or should I go through the Abandoned Dungeon or Great Serpent Shrine first?

I need help against the Corrupted Monk. I don't have any Confetti and I weirdly can't seem to deflect his attacks reliably even though they're so slow and clearly telegraphed. Can't tell if I'm just getting tired or if he's really tough. I've been at it for one or two hours.

I'm not completely resetting after two deaths, I really just want to know what exactly is the limit before my game is effectively ruined and I gotta restart. I heard a rumor around 60 deaths? But I don't know if it is true

LITERALLY FUCKING HOW AHSAJHFASIUFGAWTJASODTKJ S;AODKTSDAgood thing he's optional

oh fuck yea, I'm gonna do just that. thanks

you get items to restore the world from rot further in the game, I've used 1 and have 3 in my inventory.

>game is ruined because dragon rot
are you retard?

Go to the lady on the bridge at Ashina Castle she talks about Senpou temple on mount Kongo go through the gate she is facing or go up the rooftops to fight ashina elite and then genichiro maybe look around places you have already been to make sure you haven’t missed any areas. I had got to genichrio and hadn’t been to senpou temple yet.

No worries, Emma cures the thing later on if you do a side mission for her and you can buy this cure from shop.

Does Dragonrot keep coming back, or is it a one and done for each NPC?
So far it only ever moves onto an NPC who hasn't gotten it yet, and I don't see it happening until I find another one out there somewhere

You can go through the dungeon and explore the temple on the other side for some upgrades

how do you kill the niggas with the flying blue orbs? I literally have no idea how to approach them.

You get an item to get rid of the rot eventually ur good bro. I just got mad af cause im trying to make it through the game without fully dying.

Those one armed niggas with all the kick spins and shit keep kicking my face in. Or breaking lock/causing my camera to spazz out before he kicks my shit. I've been trying to time the counters on his straight kick or leg sweep, but I dodge to fast.

I need to know this too.

>this snake pops out while I'm on branch
>not sure what it'll do, wait
>suddenly it hits me for 75% while also knocking me into the pit, which is an instant kill with no rez
>get +1 to epic dragon rot mechanic
Fuck this game. I get it, I used to be the "fuck the casuals" guy too, but this game goes beyond anything that should be considered acceptable. It's not fair, it's not fun.

You can skip her by swimming up the river next to the idol. I'm stuck at the boss right after her though, doesn't get better bruv.

Same user here. I have two prayer beads total right now and 2 attack power. Should I even be bothering with this boss?

what do I need to do to prevent the ending where the kid dies?

also can npcs actually die from dragonrot? I'm immediately healing it every time someone gets infected.

Where do I get more confetti to fight the headless guy? I just started today.

>Want to buy the game
>Literally feel guilty whenever I spend my hard earned money on my hobbies

If your having trouble with the ogre, its possible to agro him and then stealth attack him for a health bar. Just make sure he sees you but doesn't go hostile (full yellow triangle) and then when you get a chance stab him in the back

As you should. You're a hard worker, user. Don't weigh yourself down with toys.

there was massive rumbling before the snake showed up, and you had a "ENEMY HAS DETECTED YOU" indicator pop up when it saw you. it roars before attacking. you decided to stand still and do nothing while it attacked. he game has flaws, but this isn't one of them. you're just retarded.

Thanks

so I'm near the end of the bell memory level and the shinobi killer kicks my ass, I have the thrust counter skill but the tutorial for it made it seem way easier to pull of then it actually is, any tips for that fucker

Attached: 1544902707628.jpg (542x470, 42K)

Is the mortal blade worth using? I like my punches
Also, is there a good place to farm some sen? The ape got me good for a while

Problem is the health pool really.
Pretty much get one attack off whenever she finishes a combo: at high health it's pointless to try to posture break and the second attacks are deflected.
Also don't counter the thrust, dodge to the right and you can get in three free attacks. It's a slow fight definitely, it's likely worth trying to go somewhere else and upgrade if you don't have good attack power

>Got three full prayer beads
>Not even at the boss you are talking about
You are missing stuff bro

Should I lead the warrior to the doc? I beat Snake-Eyes and figured out what he was being lured to. Anything is better than becoming a ghoulie. Also, lol is that fucking juzou hanging out with some monkeys?

I HATE THIS FUCKING MONKEY SO GOD DAMN MUCH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

>mfw you beat the drunk guy by stealth-killing all his bodyguards, stealth-attacking him, and double-teaming him with your onionbro samuraibro
don't care if I cheesed it, fuck that guy

Attached: 1520239907278.png (900x1000, 442K)

Stealth deathblow his first orb then use Mikiri counter on his thrusts. The window is incredibly generous compared to deflecting. I typically dodge into the thrust.

Literally just spam O or B whenever the red kanji lettering shows up and spam r1 until you break his guard. Make sure you take out his mobs beforehand and get a stealth hit on him as well.

Should I give rice to this old crazy lady?

Could go stealth kill that one-armed long sword guy right near the first Mibo statue. He drops like 90 something Sen and gives 740 or so skill points.

Honestly dude, don't ask for tips on him.
Don't want to sound rude but dealing with thrusts and sweeps is something you're going to have to learn to deal with proactively sooner or later.
Just make sure your first sneak attack is against him - elite enemies never lower their guard but you can jump up the tower and stealth kill everyone else even while the elite is aggroed

No problem mate. Pledge allegiance to the struggle.

Yeah, I got her now. She still had more than half health left, I managed to somehow get a lot of posture damage in. Probably because she did a lot of sweep attacks.
Every time I complain about a boss on Yea Forums I beat him right on the next try, no idea how that works but I like it.

bumping for interest

Help kuro or obey the iron code, protect kuro?

HOW

Attached: sekiro Screenshot 2019.03.23 - 17.35.09.07 (2).png (1467x775, 1.48M)

>Bro samurai died just before I got the finishing blow
Gomenasai...

Yeah you get infinite rice but technically you don't have to, she only gives you clues which are essentially "use that power you just got on those enemies"
Poison pool clue isn't even necessary, you can get past the snake with the mist feather counter thing

proctect kuro you unhonorable fag
It doesnt matter anyways but kuro bows down to you again thanks you for your loyalty and you get to do his quest anyways

Where can i find other upgrade for my other prosthetic, the only one that I have is the kunai upgrade, and I'm about to fight the corrupted frog

Attached: 1547624022411.jpg (400x369, 26K)

I want to _be_ Emma.

>implying this is an RPG

corrupted monk

tips on killing bull? he recovers way too fast, is there a trick to this fight?

me too i dont know what to do, i just run behind him and just punch him, and only parry the legs attack, and always try to grapling hook when he jumps but when in reach phase 2 he is just crazy

Get a VPN.

jesus you missed a lot of stuff

happened to me too and is now an essential part of my headcanon

>can't find rice for lady
>couldn't do any of the optional quests so far other than killing the samurai for that gray cunt who turns into a merchant after
>spirited away the fat monk with the prosthetic tool, probably fucked up
>no idea what to do for the surgeon
>no idea where 'rats' are

Man I'm so lost and clueless. Currently trying to kill giant monkey, what a great fucking fight damn.

Help I don't have the game or the money to buy game

Attached: me_irl.png (272x347, 34K)

one of the prosthetic updates you should have by that point says it's good against beasts

use that

The skill that recovers health when you execute an enemy should be baseline.

fire gourd + firecracker
deflect charges
use the follow-up attack from shinobi arm
ezpz

After a couple tries I managed to fuck up the three phases of Genichiro's bullshit and met up with waga aru ji.

How far into the game am I?

I did but it doesn't really help, lets me hit him a few more times but like I said he recovers way too fast

Pretty sure one of the vendors sells Rice.

I agree

wtf you can deflect his charges? ok I'll try that
also where do I get fire gourd?

past the tutorial, the game just started for real.

Sweet :) , just beat corrupt monk.

Boss 1 - lady butterfly
Boss 2- Horserider
Boss 3- corrupt monk

And we get to dive underwater in this game! Gonna go back to the past and also that weird spot at the castle.

honestly yeah idk why it isn't
pretty essential to the gameplay flow imo

for the rice you need to finish senpo temple

yeah I have no idea where they drop, I already killed the ape, the snake and bunch of bdsm dude

That boss is needlessly hard that early in the game. I'd save that cunt until you've got like four or five gourd seeds.

That dude was wrecking me until I realized I could upgrade my gourd to 3. Nearly all his attacks are parryable and you can hit a hit or two in if you grapple when prompted.

I feel this but I’m stuck on armoured warrior and the second fight with genichiro. I beat every souls game + BB apart from demon souls because I started with dark souls.

I used to love saying git gud but orphan of kos, the dark souls 1, 2 and 3 dlc and now sekiro its bull shit man. I beat all those dlcs but sekiro is like a dlc except harder somehow which is a shame because the style, music and atmosphere is cool. I played through nioh as well bar the dlc. Feel so weird about sekiro man everytime I feel like I’m going to give up I beat a boss but I have hit the brick wall.

Now I know how all those people felt who really couldn’t acclimatise to souls or BB this is a weird feel.

carp merchant in the memory near the shore, swim around until you see a blue pot try to chat you up
it's easy to get and should help you out- refills on rest like a normal gourd and has 5 charges

she gives rice for free

Attached: 20190323205451_1.jpg (1920x1080, 155K)

where that butterfly boss? my first boss was the horserider

I think Kuro or Isshin gives you the key. some NPC.

Rats are not a quest as far as I know
You'll get rice as part of the main story, just remember where the two old ladies are
For the surgeon you can tell that samurai guy near the well where you first awaken to go to him, then you have to bring him carp eyes, then his experiment fails and he goes insane not sure if this quest has more steps or not but one of the mob merchants told me that I will be negatively affected somehow for luring an innocent dude to be tortured and killed

I want to sniff her rice

Attached: RiceLoli.jpg (210x240, 7K)

only read if you refuse to get good
oil+fire, lure him on the steps and jump off while you manage yourself. he can only jump down via a unique animation which is mutually exclusive to attacking

pls respond

Is it better to sneak through and miss shit like a ninja should or should I scour everything. Should I try to knuckle through hard parts or go back and check out other paths/areas for new Shinobi Arms

just jump away from him lol its easy bro

>Rats are not a quest as far as I know
They are. You unlock a skill tree for finishing it.
Rats are the guys just on top of the cliff after the horse boss. The ones with the hard wooden hats.

the one in the abandon dungeon?

What do I do with the fruits I got from dealing with the snake? I'm in the divine realm and I don't want to progress too far without knowing what they do.

you should kind of do both. use sneaky ways to clear areas smart then explore

I get how you feel, the game indeed feels harder but I think it's because it's a bit different that the usual souls in battle, that's what I find hard to adapt to but I for me? the challenge is welcome even though I should be ashamed of how many times I died and I'm still only on the second boss and have dragon rot and like level 3 or something

where is the malcontent’s ring

And what exactly are the conditions? Because I'm pretty sure you get the skill tree anyway as long as you unlock at least one ultimate ability.

>Beat the horse guy with no issue, first try, no revive needed
>Get to the Burning Bull
>Fucking demolishes me even with firecrackers
>No clue what to do

Any tips?
I hate how they punish you NPC wise for dying period, makes you not even want to practice and figure a boss out for yourself.

Attached: 1543604005298.jpg (850x991, 82K)

new player here, there are some shit the game doesn't explain, for example now I have 2 pink icons at the top of the health bar what are those?

also sometimes when i kill an enemy is see red light, what's that??

I'm kinda loving that part of the game, I missed the entire memory dungeon because I took a short cut to the Ogre by jumping off a cliff

as far as i played no npc died from prolonged dragonrot yet, i think mother and blind son are supposed to die anyways since they were cured for me.

Don't you have to kill the rats in the first place to get him to move to the shrine?

You can parry his charge. Hit the head a lot. Even if he tries to hit you, as long as you're parrying you'll literally out-DPS him and get a stagger. He's not meant to be a fucking boss even.

see and

Yeah

I'm about to start playing. Are there any two-handed weapons or is it all 1H swords, katanas and shit?
Anything about early game I should know?

Attached: dang ol' kaboom.jpg (250x250, 10K)

2 orbs are revives
red light is revive's recharge boost from killing enemies

Go back to the first area and find the old lady near the first real boss the general guy not the ogre, she'll give you a bell that unlocks a dungeon that has the flame thrower and axe

I think I got the first skill book from him just for accepting to kill the rats but maybe I remember wrong.

It's not Dark Souls. There's only one weapon.

where is tengu in sunken valley?

How the fuck are you supposed to approach the drunkard fight?

>Are there any two-handed weapons
no
>Anything about early game I should know?
no

Stay on enemies dont back away like a pussy unless you REALLY need to. If you feel like you can't fuck something up theres almost always another way to go.

revives? you mean the resurrect thing?

Where do I get the overhead charge attack that can cheese the centipedes?

>Spend three hours wandering around every single area previously visited
>Finally realize that I missed a grapple point on the ceiling in the antechamber where all the blue-robbed samurai are

Attached: 1523125129430.gif (264x320, 929K)

Can I get a quick explanation of the death system? I've seen people complain that it fucks with something akin to world tendency eventually killing all NPCs and making your game unplayable? This can't be the case right?

use things the game gives you, especially the prosthetic
ash is great for minibosses
buy the upgrade that gives you health on finishing blow, the upgrade that gives you the counter, and the upgrade that gives you spin2win
get the jump on head upgrade as well
enemy posture caps lower and recharges slower the lower your enemy's VIT is

those tips alone can carry you through most of the game

ye

I don't know if you need the confetti to beat him but what I do is to keep running close to him and hit him in the face, and when he teleport away try to run to the side so his laser beam miss you, also stock up on pacifying agent, it help removing terror build up

Go through the hallway, stealth one enemy, have them chase you back through said hallway, use that to keep Drunkard at bay while you finish off the rest of the dudes, having him go back in there when needed. When hes all thats left, you can go behind the hallway to de-agro him, get a stealth kill, then go get the samurai to help and whomp him.

Ok i just entered ashina castle and i can either go left or straight. Which one first? Also where to get the spear prosthetic I overheard 2 guards talking about?

if you respawn at an idol you get crotch rot
if you just revive you don't
if you need to revive and aren't sure you can fight through it, just run the fuck away and come back

Just found suicide pills, is there a reason for them like in Dragon's Dogma or is it just a joke item?

spear is near where the game's first eavesdrop was
kill the guys you eavesdropped for the key to it

Hug the wall in front of you and move to the left.

How do I kil the bull on fire? Any better tactics then to run around like a retard and wait for that single fucking animation to trigger, crackering him from time to time?

The game doesn't explain this very well but basically you're meant to ressurrect whenever possible and avoid dying as much as possible, because dying and waking up at the sculpture carries a chance of a disease spreading.

You're not fucked if it does spread since the game will give you a way to instantly cure everyone, but it's limited so if you're a turbo-shitter you won't get a good ending. Basically, whenever you get killed for the first time just res, run back to the sculpture and try again.

YOU SAID YOU WANTED RICE YOU WRINKLED OLD BITCH.
THIS RICE COST ME 1600 WHY DON'T YOU WANT IT.
TAKE THE FUCKING RICE.

Attached: 20190323142725_1.jpg (1680x1050, 544K)

I kind of like how difficult it is but at the same time it kind of sucks because it’s arbitrary because it focuses on parrying and timeing or a gimmick like having to push the armoured warrior off the bridge.

I feel like it’s a step sideways as opposed to a step forward from souls and BB it’s weird. I don’t know how much longer I can put up with it. Souls and even BB it felt justifiable and even manageable but I don’t feel that sekiro strikes this balance and yes I probably am shit but that’s what I liked about souls and BB it felt very unique that you could connect with other people without speaking yet working to defeat a common enemy. I don’t know I feel like I’m going to stop soon because it’s too much for me.

how the FUCK do you beat guardian ape

kill all his minions, then go activate the friendly npc behind the rock that helps you. When the npc dies, stay close to the the drunkard, circle strafe and sidestep his swings as you keep slashing away at him. For me this was one of those fights that just clicked when I started reading his moves. It may take time, so be patient.

does anyone else find wailing on a blocking opponent to mess up their balance EXTREMELY unsatisfying? it feels like you are doing something wrong, they could have at least added a better sound effect. it not like its realistic and you kill them in one hit either as they can still take dozens of sword slashes to kill when they do hit.

Kill that guard, go toward the tutorial area thats to the left I think of that bridge. its in a locked room.

How do you get back to the starting area?

what does holding square even do? i get some light around me. someone redpill on the controls.

Do you get anything special if the NPC lives all the way to the end?

Big kek. I thought this too.

she only want rice from lolis

>the item description says its inedible

Attached: 1367737189294.gif (300x169, 358K)

It sucks in the drops from the enemies.

Learn his moves and sprint around him and literally jump in when you see an opening.

I don't know why they randomly put a Dark Souls boss into the game, but that's how you fight him twice

where can i buy oil? i'm all out, and i hate farming for shit like that.

Wait, NG+ still powers everything up? Is there an option to just play NG+ with NG enemies/bosses?

Attached: 1403785253302.png (680x418, 516K)

I want to hug lolis

where did you find the kunai?

Sucky vaccum for items dropped by enemies and coins dropped by enemies.

>When the npc dies
>not saving your samuraibro

Attached: 1513796563837.jpg (910x752, 59K)

It's said when starting the game, holding the square or X makes you go into vacuum mode to get all the money or drop that ennemies left behind

im not gonna spoil it but you're a lot closer than you think
don't go up the big stairs and you'll figure out where you are

lol i'm on the monk boss and havent picked up anything from enemies i guess.

>tfw you finally have to get rid of bell demon to kill a boss

Attached: 1529436422843.png (433x282, 90K)

are you joking lmfao

Just got to the shamisen playing whore miniboss. is there any tricks to this? she's faster than sonic: the hedgeheg.

why is Genichiro such a bitch?

Also, does anyone know what the fuck was with that lightning deflect mechanic? I managed to finally beat the asshole without getting hit by the lightning, but on my previous tries I just fucking died, even if I mashed LB.

>Mt kongo or whatever
>buy rice item from merchant
>try to give it to the crazy lady next to the monk dojo
>no prompt to offer the rice
wrong item? I used it next to her too

no.

>headless cave got absolutely ass raped
Didn't think you meant this literally....just accidentally stumbled in there...My anus was prolapsed before I realized what was going on.

>No money
>No stuff like all the oil or anything like that except for loot on the ground

At this point, maybe you should continue like this, you've find your way dude

Where do I go from here? Just grappled accross through the kite and now i'm in this cliff

Attached: 814380_20190324010530_1.png (1920x1080, 3.27M)

absolute legend

jump in the air
get hit by lighting
press RB before hitting the ground

there, you deflected it
you'll be facing many lightning niggers late in the game

Try jumping

See that big fucking tree sticking out? Try that.

that dude was never long for this world. He got sumo stomped into the next life like 20 seconds into the fight for me. He shamed himself pretty hard.

I did that like 90 times and it didn't work once, I ate shit and died once I hit the ground. Tried all sorts of timings when pressing.

Souls games haven't been able to justify their difficulty since Dark Souls 2 basically. It doesn't contribute to the tension and atmopshere anymore since level design went down the gutter and the games are hard because soulsfags clinge to the meme that Dark Souls is hard. Bosses are now just a minor inconvenience that set you back a corridor until you can press circle to iframe through them.

I recently replayed Demon Souls and it's so painful how much they got right on their first attempt and just went backwards from then on.

wrong rice

No, he just tells you something like:
>fuck that was a hard fight, eh?
>gotta rest, go on ahead

Literally just that fucking scatter shot shit fuck me dude.

you said you mashed LB
it's RB, the attack button

>it’s arbitrary because it focuses on parrying
Difficulty determined by skill is not arbitrary.
>gimmick like having to push the armoured warrior off the bridge
I didn't push him off the bridge. I didn't even know you could. Git gud

Where is the guy that was above the hole in the tutorial area that heard the sounds? He just up and disappeared

I just forgot which button it was in the game, but I mashed RB when playing.

He's deeper inside, at the start of the misty valley area.

he'll be near the bottomless hole, pretty much impossible to miss

he's further into the well now, just swim to the end and grapple up.

So what do I do here? If I grapple the snake immediately pushes me to my death.

Attached: dummy thicc snake.jpg (1920x1080, 173K)

when he does his little drift run right up next to him and attack he has shitty hitboxes that wont hit you
agree about dragonrot in a souls game i would have no issue banging my head against a boss for hours but knowing theres a chance a death will completely lock me out of upgrading sucks massive dick

What now, Yea Forumsros?

Attached: 814380_20190324012409_1.png (1920x1080, 2.2M)

You have to puppeter the monkey that's there.

You have to use puppet ninjutsu on the monkey

end it all

Okay, so that's something I don't have yet.

Go to the Gun Fort and try to cross that bridge, then come back.

come back later, after getting the withered snek heart from the sunken valley

yo theres this guy with a bigass spear guarding a house, is that where i'm supposed to go?

You can't do it yet. Come back later when you have the puppet Ninjutsu.

>armor boss that you defeat by pushing him off the building
I unironically love this gimmicky shit.

Where's the axe in the memory dungeon?

somebody? anybody?

Is there any reason to get the Vault Over skill? If I break their posture I'm already guaranteed a deathblow aren't I, so why do I need to backstab them?

What does the Snake Hearts do? I have both and don't know what to do with them.

>that fucking beautiful final area
>that GIANT FUCKING CARP
>that weird as fuck divine dragon fight
>go from that to a FUCKING FULL ON SIEGE ON ASHINA
This is honestly the best game I've ever played. I'm not even memeing. How the FUCK do people not love this fucking game? Goddamn it is so good.

the small shrine to buddha with 2 eavesdroppable bad guys outside, they'll talk about not stealing from the shrine

Do I have to jump down there? He had dragonrot and wasn't moving and I restored everyone and now hes gone. Hes not anywhere near the bottomless hole idol. Sorry if I'm super retarded and hes just blending into a wall.

is fighting genshiro the end of the game or what?
don't want to fight him yet if it is

Because of Bloodsmoke Ninjutsu which you can only use by backstabbing.
Vault over allows you to use Bloodsmoke Ninjutsu even when you're in combat because you can get a backstab deathblow.

they aren't npcs like yourself who get absorbed in hype and set pieces

>just began playing
HOLY SHIT WHY IS PARRYING EASY
I'M FUCKED ONCE I GET TO NON-MOOKS HUH

Oh right, I don't think I've unlocked Ninjutsu yet.

It's like 1/3 of the way through the game.

clips.twitch.tv/SuperAstuteJuiceTBCheesePull

oh fuck off retard

Play more games.

>tfw you unlock Mushin Arts

Attached: 1539200897305.png (461x254, 127K)

you don't have to jump down, he's in the corridor between the purple shichiwhatever miniboss and the actual hole itself, sitting in the middle

maybe you already triggered some other event

The spear guy at the reservoir deals massive damage to me right now, am I supposed to be there or go up the castle steps? Or do I go into the dungeon?

Why would I do that when Sekiro is better than all of them?

Epic, did you donate afterwards?

help i'm getting gated already

Attached: general-naomori-kawarada-fight-sekiro.jpg (1920x1080, 348K)

>Fire Demon
>Enter phase 3
>He makes a ring of fire around us
Kino
But also fuck this literal Bloodborne boss. I use literally none of the skills that this game teaches you.

Any technique to beating big drunk guy or just slice away slowly and dodge?

Saw the snek for the first time. How hard is it gonna one shot kill me? Asking because I haven't died yet and I don't want to spread dragon aids to npcs.

you can de-aggro him and then backstab him from stealth to take away 1 life before fighting him. When fighting him, remember your parries and you should be fine.

It's how you unlock the 4th ending.

You can google Sekiro ending requirements to find the quest chain

Wait what happened to the little girl in the inner sanctum, she disappeared after i gave her a book.

also another one i gave the crying big monk the white pinwheel and he ask me to kill him or whatever, but i cant hit him or anything, its like theres an invisible barrier on him.

Attached: ah.png (1369x560, 180K)

I get you but Dark Souls (without the dlc) is almost perfect apart from bed of chaos and lost izalith but yeah you are pretty spot on but I don’t know maybe I’m just getting too old for this type of game.

If you played more than four games you are bound to find something better than Sekiro with no problem.

Stealth kill one bar off him instead of just rushing in idiot.

I would suggest you just keep trying. I'm stuck at the fucking ogre myself.

Dont fight the apperations till you get holy confetti and its also probably a good idea to avoid them till your attack is high enough to kill them in one confetti use.
In fact the undead wizard like one can be skipped all together.

Fin the broken bridge after the Ogre and gneral.
Thare is a ledge left of it.
This game has a ton of ups and downs always keep a lookout in all directions.

Tips have already been given. Just Ctrl+F Drunkard.

>go to the bell area immediately
>meet shinobi hunters
>get killed in 2 hits
WOAH

You can set him on fire with oil and wooden arm. And parrying.

You can run to the other side of the arena and the illusions will vanish.

So is the secret to the game going ham on enemies instead of just running around them? Thats what it seems like but I just can't make it work.

First time fighting the Guardian Ape. Got it to half health on it's second form. That's good right? Right?

>10 hours in
>controls still feel bad
you guys use a different layout than the default?

you can lure him to the pond, do it without his other guys detecting you. when it's just 1v1 run to the other faggot and get his help so he can be a distraction

It can probably kill you in two hits. Btw, don't get so hung up in the dragonrot that it spoils your time playing. It's actually somewhat lenient.

>tfw i sent the big monk on the dungeon
>realize later what i did
still killed the white fucker
i think you have to use the wind prostetic on him or the white pinwheel
keep parrying user,he'll do a charged attack and you'll knock him down

I’m having trouble with him. Also doesn’t help that the way to get up to him is blocked by poison midgets. Little bastards.

I did the same thing but then proceeded to take over an hour to kill him

I think it depends. I tried doing that against the drunkard and I just got destroyed. So I went more defensive with hit+dodge+occasional parry

If they're human sized, hit them to force them to block and build up their posture. There's a special clang to look out for when they're about to attack back so you can parry.

Skip the midgets. There is only one that blocks your way directly and you can jump over him.

kill him

>Capra demon = Drunkard
>OS&S = Genichiro

It's a give and take and depends on the enemy. But you parry blows from enemies so that it breaks their posture faster and then you keep up that heat with your own attacks so they don't have the time to repair their posture. If you mess up the parry timing then it's you who's taking the posture hit. It's also important to know when to pick your battles. Fleeing and coming back later can be a valid strategy.

>tfw i have a shit ton of booze and sake
what the hell should i do with these, who should i give them to.

Wheres this armor boss? I heard about him from eavesdropping but never found him.

I know but I’m retarded. I need to nut up tomorrow but I’m going to sleep now.

thanks fren

>>tfw i sent the big monk on the dungeon
>>realize later what i did
Can you light spoil me on what happens? I too sent him to the dungeon but I don't know the implications of this or what I'm missing now.

The trophy percentages prove the difficulty, considering that if you were gud the game would take like 1 hour tops. Just beat butterfly. There is a foolproof cheese for the boss. Unlock nightjar slash and you can stun lock her the entire first phase of the fight.

>tfw just got to the Butterfly lady
The drunk faggot was bad enough. I can't imagine how many tries this one's going to take

Attached: 20190323213735_1.jpg (3840x2160, 709K)

I thought longsword fuckhead in the well was more like Capra or centipede giraffe where they push you into a corner and the camera flips out and disengages lock on

Genichiro isn't even that hard, even when he turns into a Naruto character.

There is a broken cheese for that fight so good I guarantee they will patch it. All you have to do is spam nightjar slash.

Senpou temple. Go to the bridge in Ashina castle where the lady is on the bridge she is facing the gate that leads you to the temple.

where is the key anyway

You can give them to NPCs, mainly Emma and the Carpenter but there are more. They will then tell you short tidbits of their past based on the drink you gave them.

>From Shitware
>patching
lmao

ever played bloodborne? It's like sending him to Iosefka clinic
the doc there wanted to do some shady shit on him,if you kill the doc he'll just sit there in the cell

You have to go all the way to the top and the Owl will give it to you

Quit taking shortcuts, that's your hint.

>that locked door in the ashina castle reservoir where you first learn about stealth
where's the fucking key

So where do I go next? I’ve cleared all of Ashina Outskirts (except for the Headless and the Snake) and all of Hirata Estates, and I’ve done the first miniboss in Ashina Castle. There’s so many new paths open right now I’ve got two different cave areas, the tutorial area with two mini bosses that absolutely rape me, a mountain with a bunch of xiaolin monks and locusts. It’s overwhelming but in a good way.

>ever played bloodborne?
Sadly, no, and I misread your post. I didn't send the monk, I sent the nigga samurai near the beginning of the game. Still I don't know if I'm missing out on anything important now

>lmao silly Wolf the guy you're looking for is in a watchtower, just follow the smoke!
Can someone explain this to a guy who can't tell the difference between Japanese Pagodas?

Attached: I dinnae geht it.jpg (1280x738, 38K)

First buddha in Ashina Castle, go immediately left and jump across the gap, kill 2 guys on bridge, one of them has a key.

Multiple questions!
What the fuck do i do here?
What do I do with the serpent viscera?
Should I be doing something else before talking to Owl on top of the castle?

Attached: sekiro02.jpg (1920x1080, 147K)

The place you came from to get to palace roof

the nigga samurai is the one who keep saying that he hears stuff?Unless i did something wrong no,you won't miss anything, just a "common" item with a different name

friendly PSA
teleport parry is the best skill in the game get it ASAP

going to the top of ashina castle would be my suggestion

Oh shit that worked, used the wind tool but now where did he go? did i kill him? dont think i did tho

storywise you're supposed to clear the castle and rescue the shota
but you can go to most places, doesn't matter it's not like there's a significant level/difficulty gap like in Souls

>he doesn't know how to buff his weapon with fire
don't tell him anons, it trivializes the game like Darkmoon Blade

Attached: 20190324025336_1.jpg (3840x2160, 2.44M)

Where is corupted monk?

Speaking of buffing the weapon. I hanven't spent a single material in upgrading my prosthetics. Any suggestions? The game plays perfectly fine without any upgrades which is why i never bothered.

Upgrade all of them, you think they're fine now, but they get so much better and do actual damage when you upgrade them.

the charged fireworks disorients anything if you get mobbed. The spear pull is also really good

Any suggestions to farm money? They can be quite expensive and I'm trying to save for the mask

So does Mikiri Counter technically work on all unblockable non-grab attacks or does it actually have to be a thrust attack?

Attached: 1349387767658.jpg (1600x1200, 455K)

the gate leads me to the dungeon...

Why isn't this game as easy as Dark Souls? It's not fair.

How do you consistently dodge the Guardian Monkey's grabs? What about the scream, is there a way to counter that?

Tried that strat and it worked first try. The hallway makes it so much easier since the boss loses you for a little while.

Thanks!

When ever you use your revive, just go back to a buddha and rest, you'll be rolling in Sen if you never die.

how do i deal with the projectile spamming rooftop birdmen

where do I find the white flower for the autistic crying man baby in senpou? I just want him to be happy.

How the fuck did all the game journalists call this game more accessible and easier than Dark Souls games? I'm only about 9 hours into the game and it's way more punishing than any of the Souls games. Normal playthrough feels like DLC level difficulty from Souls games

Only thrusts and you have to be standing still for it to work, sweeps you jump over or perfect parry

lol no joke stuck at that same part. Not sure where to get key

What are the mask fragments for?

THERE IS NO NEED TO BE UPSET

Attached: 1549053136204.jpg (1920x1080, 357K)

They got dragonrot and all their npcs died, they just didn't write about it

Focus on her even when she summons illusions.

You're stealing their booze, of course they'd be upset

It works on stuff like forward kicks too, I would've assumed it only worked on thrust attacks with weapons if someone on here hadn't told me

What the fuck is this thread? I haven't played Sekiro but by the looks of this thread, Yea Forums is full of retards who just picked up their first game that doesn't tell them exactly what to do and where to go. What happened to playing games blind? You guys are making this game sound like an impossible puzzle game or something.

Alright I'm done sperging out and overreacting, enjoy the new videogame.

Probably because you can constantly run away and reset fights, only honor fags keep fighting until they get overwhelmed and die.

The dungeon leads to senpou swim through the water.

You just need to learn their locations and sneak behind them for the death blow.

I'm very early in, should I worry about the memory right when I get the bell or should I go continue past the ogre instead? I fucked with the memory a bit but the spear wielders are fucking me up.

Give them to the dumb, fat dude crying outside the first idol in Senpou Temple. He talks about wanting a "white flower." I gave him the red and white one instead of the white one though and afterwards I was able to tell him of other places to go. The only option I had was to send him to the eyepatch merchant so I did that and his stock expanded.

Is there a point at which I absoultely should reverse the Dragon rot[? Like does it warn you if the afflicted are going to die soon or does the cure work permenantly

get the fire prosthetic from a big bonfire in one of the areas before the spear miniboss

Ape, how do you deal with the 2nd phase.

can lone shadow be cheesed? what a fucking horrible place to fight. Am I supposed to lure him out of the pit?

shuriken anything that jumps in this game. The nightjar ninja are really easy to sneak up on and kill, and even if you get noticed just blocking and attacking takes them down really fast. The guys on the kites are pretty much the same, only with fire.

Ok boys the thread is about to reach the limit. I'm going to repost it now

Doesn't matter, memory will get you 2 tools that are really good and decent respectively

You can keep going past the ogre, you should finish the memory before pressing on past the horse boss later after the ogre though.

The memory has 3 prosthetics iirc that are all pretty handy

You can drop down on him from above for one deathblow but you're on your own after that

Anyone else feel like they're not learning at all? I'm progressing through the game (slowly) but i don't feel like i'm mastering the fights at all i'm just stumbling through.

Attached: 1547580452366.jpg (700x582, 65K)

Where do I get the stuff to upgrade this shit though?

the limit's 500 posts, the fuck are you on?

how the fuck do i kill this shinobi hunter and his gang of faggots

Take your time, breathe, and focus more on getting perfect parries instead of trying to kill fast. Once I learned to ignore the stagger bar I got a lot better at the game.

Yeah I'm continually failing at the shinobi hunter in the memory and I feel like I'm never getting better.

How the fuck do I deal with double ape?

Attached: 1485757590690.jpg (233x250, 12K)

Shit, im used to /pol/

I don't know if you're already doing this but make sure to sneak up on him and do a deathblow to take off one of his health bars. Then you just have to take off the other normally

Living ape is a retard who is easy to kill, just kill him and then kill 'eady

So whats the deal with the Monk in the green robes all the way on top of the mountain he doesn't talk to me

>playing hide and seek with monkeys wearing bathrobes in the spirit realm
I'm loving this shit.

Attached: pilkie.jpg (920x584, 72K)

Run away while being locked on, run past his right side when he does his slide, hit once or twice, disengage, repeat. Takes a while but its's safe.

>stealth kill the first guy
>Run away because the bow man will be aggro'd
>Sneak into the bushes on the left and kill the bow man when the hunter isn't looking. This will aggro the axe guy on the right who will run right at you.
>Back up and kill him away from the hunter, then sneak back on the left and stealth attack the hunter

Then just hope you can beat the hunter, the fourth guy shouldn't turn around.

I'm not very far yet but I feel like this will be me with DMC where I can't do shit with Dante so I just flail around.

Whats the difference between a shinobi and a samurai?
and can any weebs tell me what shura means?

asking for this

if you get the upgrade that blocks polearm attacks, it becomes easy. Wait for his deathblow attack, give it a little pause, then dodge into him to trigger it. Do that twice and you will break him.

Meant for

> tfw I completely missed the aids the level gives you like ringning the bell or opening the door to create darkness and just ran after them

Took a while but I managed to catch all of them off guard.

Full death gives you rot. When you revive run back to a shrine and rest. Best strat.

Yeah I can get that one but so far I've just been getting rekt really fast right after that. I did just get that thrust counter skill and havn't attempted him with that.
I'll give this a shot, thanks.

You can deflect it's attacks. The wind ups are eratic as fuck though. I got by on my first attempt with a sliver of life left. Came fresh from the boss, so I didn't have any healing shit left.

Shinobi are ninjas, Samurai are knights.

ooh great, thanks. I've been avoiding using revive and just kept dying because I thought that gives me rot, fuck

Shinobi are generally assassins/bodyguards/guys that get your shady shit done.

Samurai are nobles who fight on the battlefield in the best armor, not unlike European knights.

My weeb is a little rusty but shura is in reference to some kind of Buddhist demon I'm pretty sure.

What tool should i be using for fighting those armored samurai minibosses? They block all my sword slashes and recover their posture faster than i can take it down.

shinobi are ninja, sneaky assassins that strike from the shadows. Samurai are like japanese knights, honorable warriors. Shura is a kind of demon, I think.

It isn't explained very well.

>1-2 attack, followed by dodge
>repeat
>if she jumps up on her wire, use the Shuriken to knock her down for free poise damage
>repeat until ded
>same shit for phase two, cept don't get hit by butterflies or ghosts

She wasn't that bad. I've actually had tougher times with mini bosses so far than the actual bosses.

Try the axe, it gives you power-armor and deals a lot of posture damage

arigato friends

Attached: 1475363872395.jpg (255x204, 8K)

All elites recover too fast at first, you have to chip down their life pool and they'll recover slower. Focus more on parrying attacks and only getting 1-2 attacks in between parries. Their stagger bar will start to change colors Clear > Yellow > Orange > Red, these will tell you how fast they can recover and whether you should start going for the deathblow.

End of the memory

quick googling:
Shura 修羅 or Ashura 阿修羅 is a Japanese way to call the Buddhism demigod of war Asura. In Japanese, we sometimes use it to describe a person who fell into a situation in which they have to fight an endless war against something, in a relentless and inhumane manner.

How many "How was I supposed to know that?" moments does this game have?

After defeating Owl, how far am I from the ending?

1-2 into parry makes it a lot faster

is there a bonfire closer to the shinobi hunter?

Is there a trick to defeating owl or is this yet another bossfight I'm spending 3 hours on? ;_;

same here, I get that you were supposed to blind the seeing monkey with darkness and deafen the hearing one with the waterfall, but what about the talking monkey? at any rate, just chasing them down was fairly simple. Kinda reminds me of Micolash.

just to be clear, that headless thing in the cave. should I keep attempting to kill that, or do I need an item and come back later? he literally just raped me

>Folding Screen Monkeys

Attached: 1538249551774.gif (176x176, 820K)

Which owl fight?

you need the confetti, similar to the fake curse from dark souls 1 that allows you to hit ghosts

Is that just Living Force?

Where is the firecracker people keep talking about? I'm at the Raging Bull and Butterfly lady respectively but haven't ran into that tool. Also, where do you get the infomration for the merchant about what the samurais need?

just beat lady butterfly on my 4th try, god that was satisfying to get her first stance down without even needing gourd

i've gotten gud

Headless is optional, I would skip it for now

The guy with the purple orbs in the dungeon is fucking me up, is there anything past him or should I just go the other way?

You buy it for 500 sen from any of the Memorial Mob guys.

Crow store. Shit is ridiculously OP

I was struggling until I found out you can almost endlessly spam diagonal dodge forward -> dodge attack -> regular attack -> repeat. It ruins her vitality very fast and makes the fight a cakewalk. If you don't want to cheese her, git gud and run hide behind pillars.

The one on top of the tower where you get the choice to betray your code or not, there is another one?

I was running around him and waiting to do his 2shuriken attack, then diving in 2-3 hits at most, then run again.

I believe the Sculptor says his endless killing was about to turn him into a Shura until he calmed his autism and started sculpting as a hobby.

no. make sure you backstab him though if youre having trouble
forget about them till mid-late game. they dont give anything worth the effort for fighting them and there are many of them around the map
buy it from a merchant. if i recall hes near the horse boss by the rat hating guy but i could be completely wrong

No you haven't, she's one of the easiest bosses.

Depends on which way you got down to him.

I must be a brainlet but what was supposed to be the 4th monkey? I thought theere were only three wise monkeys. I guess they were 4 all along and the 4th was just invisible.

Have you guys found some of the ledge cheeses? If you hang of a ledge and get in certain positions you can just spam an enemy and they don't attack. Feels dirty but so does dying to the same miniboss 50 times.

>tfw picked obey the code and the game just ends
fuck sake theres 20 hours wasted

>can't say git gud
git gud

From the castle entrance, dropped down the moment I got into the cave and went into a small tunnel.

There's another optional one in a secret memory, much harder. I think you can reach it by eavesdropping Emma right after the first owl fight or something.

Anyway you have like couple mandatory bosses and couple optionals left.

>gorilla
bro wtf let me out

Attached: 1549520339778.jpg (1074x1006, 124K)

how many bosses until i get to a hard one? i've gotten down drunkard, chained ogre, general guys

lady was the longest one with 4 attempts, should i go to the castle next?

Is there other optional areas like hirata estates that you use thr buddha statue to access?

How did it feel to kill Emma?

Which one?

does dragon's crotchrot only spread if you die and don't resurrect, or does it count resurrections as well?

>4 attempts
>not hard

You can do that during the second phase as well.

didn't mean to quote, my bad.

Based but bluepilled.

The game is in quarters and there are difficulty spikes at all of them, you're still in the first quarter.

It only spreads if you die fully. You can resurrect and return to an idol to rest and you’re all good.

goodie.
i got the first two steps of crotchrot - the old man and the maid, am i fucked forever now? how do i get rid of them?

Dodge a bit sooner than you are doing now. The window is actually insanely big.

the kamikaze screamers on the castle roof are fucking hilarious. I had to put down the controller that death was so amazing.

keeping the pressure on her was tough until i realized shurikens are her bane and you just chuck them whenever she tries to jump in the air and drop kick you

she lands on her ass and you can keep the posture damage on

Should I side with the owl if i plan on starting a NG anyway

ng+ feels cheap as fuck
the chained ogre 1shots you with every single attack

if you give kuro his charm back and activate the bell then sekiro is without a doubt the hardest soulsborne game

Anyone else making their own map to track stuff like vendors, roadblocks and bosses? I think my only option is to fight the Ape next unless I've missed some alternate path somewhere. I could get the monk to around 1/4th health.

if you're like me then you're depending too heavily on the red symbol above your head to know when to dodge and are spamming it as soon as you see the red, this may work sometimes but overall is not dependable.

use the red symbol as a signal to start watching his animation, as soon as his charge towards you start hit b and you're golden you've got a big window

Depending on what you make, if you feel like you've earned it and your backlog isn't cluttered, go for it.

Tons of them. Feels like you can skip 90% of the game. I accidentally rushed through important area with main quest boss, so now i'm in lategame without defeating him.

The monkey from the fourth and empty folding screen is suprisingly standing right behind you as the "fight" starts. He starts following you as you chase the other monkeys down. I found it really strange how I kept hearing monkey sounds all the fucking time, even when I was all alone on the rooftops.

You get an item a little into the game that lets you cure anyone who has the crotchrot
idk if they're finite or what but they're pretty cheap

Saved and thanks. It really seems like it would help.

If the old lady who gave you the memory bell is still alive, go get blood from her and give it to emma, then fuck of and come back and emma will give you the ability to use a semi-rare item to remove all dragonrot.

Can I even backstab this guy? Or get some sort of 1 hit kill from stealth?

I was just thinking about doing that only to remember what vendor has what.

Its already the hardest soulsborne game by far in NG

Is this the same snake from the valley?

desu I'm just waiting on a wiki.
I think I've passed 3 or 4 merchants and I didn't bother to remember any of their locations.

morons fell for dragonrot shitposting lmao
you shouldn't take Yea Forums so seriously children

Armored knight saying robert? Is this a pop culture reference?

It can come back.

There’s an item that cures it. Help Emma research the crotchrot and you unlock the ability to cure it at an idol, plus one item that cures it. You can buy more from the Memorial Mob or the carp guy who lives in a pot later on.

yea you can get a single sneak attack on him. If you try again the game acts like it didn't happen. Easiest way is luring him near the fire pit and leaping down on him when he loses track of you

Does anyone understand how EXP works in this game? It seems fairly random. One enemy will give me like a thousand then another one that looks identical gives me closer to 300.
Is it just how it works or is there something im missing?

wat do

No im just trying to do a no "true death" run

If you are on the side with the big rock thats like "here lies the soldiers blah blah" the other side of that big area hes in has a way to a new area. you can get to that by returning to the palce the game began. Sorry for the late reply hope you are still here.

yea jojos

both sound like helping to me.

It's not that the game ignores it, when enemies reset, they get all of their Deathblow markers back. That's intentional

>Implying you have a choice

>choose option 1
>"nope i cant do that lol"

I M P A C T F U L C H O I C E S

Fuck Kuro.

>THE LAST MONKEY WAS FUCKING INVISIBLE

Attached: 1544067660815.jpg (1078x1028, 80K)

he's a foreigner that visited glorious nippon with his son named Robert. His son is sick, and he's fighting for Ashina so he can get some of that immortality juice for Robert. I bet Vaati will make a stupid ass video about this character based on the one item description.

Just run around him in a circle and grapple him after dodging his grab or douse him in oil then light him with the fire tool for free damage. Any enemy that doesn't guard in this game is a fuck joke.

Don't remember the exact thing but one of the item descriptions talks of Robert and his friend who traveled to Japan in the hopes of becoming immortal.
Senpou Temple and it's monks are all about such study hence why you fight the knight there.
I imagine Robert was dying and his armored friend failed to save or help him.

>get to genichiro
>see him in 2nd form through combat art cheese method
>leave cause too hard and explore all the way to end of temple.
>remember how hard geni is and grab every treasure scale i can and kill every miniboss
>guess its time to face the music
>he's even harder than i remember and im doing worse when i had less max health and attack power

Does he scale with you or does devil bell demon affect him.

If my NPCs get dragonrot should I just restart?

What are ceramic shards for? Is it like the rocks from Bloodborne? Haven't found much use for them.

Is there any point in not reviving? I thought that Dragonrot only built up if you revived, but apparently just selecting "die" also builds up dragonrot.

I killed the samurai miniboss atop Asahi castle and there was a scroll behind him detailing a skill about causing a lighting upon pressing RB right before landing, though I haven't been able to use it yet. Do I have to unlock it somehow?

Use the firecrackers on beast enemies.

>think the same thing would happen again if you pick obey when the owl asks you at the end and he actually makes you kill emma and isshin if you pick it

>try and fight giant drunk guy
>lose repeatedly
>give up, try and fight chained ogre
>lose repeatedly

I genuinely don't think I'll be good enough for this game.

Thanks, I totally missed an area after beating the boss there. I still don’t know where to get the information for the mercantile though, is that after the bull fight?
