I played on Hard up until about level 25~ at which point all my attacks were ridiculously weak. I've been playing on normal since them and with the right gear and critical assassinate I can 1-hit most enemies

Horses need some work.
Bigger RPG trees.
Smoothen parkour a bit more.
No more missions where you have a day to do them, really remove any quest that isn’t a side quest and is just “kill x”.
Fix the battlegrounds to feel more realistic instead of just being plopped in the middle.

I haven't had to yet. I just hit level 30 and i got lucky with a legend staff that puts enemies to sleep and a legend spear that heals me and they're both decent level for now. They probably want you to grind to level them up.

AC Origins did it best. You essentially just had to upgrade Armor, Bracers, and Quiver, which were always on Bayek. And then the actual gear sets were purely cosmetic. So you can look how you want and also not have to deal with so much loot spam and menu times.

Origins was a good balance. Instead of doubling down on the grindy RPG elements, I would have liked to see an Origins Sequel keep the RPG elements more or less the same, and add back in missing Mechanics such as Social Stealth, co-op more In-depth Parkour, and Open-ended assassination sections.

Essentially make Origins and Unity have a baby.

I just recently played Origins and it wasn't *that* great - it had a lot of filler (and not even the good kind for the most part, either) and the story was even more of a snorefest than the ACs I've played before.

No, what I mean is that wearing one armor or another changes your looks completely.
You can choose pieces, headgear, chest, braces and legs, but you can just change their look to another armor's.
So if you get a better piece, but you like your current looks, you can keep those looks.
I think Monster Hunter has something similar called transmog or something like that.

And there's plenty of weird armors.
There's even one that's just like made out of lava.

AC3 is not really good just to be honest with you. AC4 is better but it's also more of a pirate simulator than an assassin's creed game, which funnily enough is what ends up making them the better games. AC4 is a pirate simulator and ends up being one of the better games. Origins and Odyssey you pretty much play a mercenary/witcher character.
AC2 remains the best actual assassin game.

I don't entirely disagree...The games truly have an AMAZING amount of work, detail, and dare I say soul put into creating their worlds. The attention to detail is exquisite. They feel authentic. The graphics are beautiful. There's always thematic music. NPC's are all doing their own little tasks, you could sit and look at them for hours. The urban design is still unparalleled. The historical aspect is always pretty alright, but lots of it is sacrificed for gameplay or story's sake.

HOWEVER, the gameplay is just serviceable. It's nothing outstanding. I think this is where AC loses most people. When you really analyze it, most of the tasks are plain boring.

I think you have to play these games as sort of a tourism simulator to fully enjoy them, because the world and atmosphere is always the spotlight. Not the gameplay, or story. So someone just looking for action-packed gameplay with deep combat and lots of variety, will be sorely bored and disappointed.

Yeah i agree with that. The combat has always been serviceable at best. Origins was a big improvement and Odyssey is an even bigger improvement and step in the right direction with them trying something like abilities you can use to change the combat up. Still just middling though.

Again, it's weird, because the assassin part was never my favorite part of the series. It was always exploring the worlds. I simply tolerated the assassin parts, or the modern-day bullshit. And sometimes likeable characters would show up to keep me going.

I think the series is in a really odd place. When you have Fucking 500 people working on a game it's bound to turn out as a jack-of-all-trades but master of none type deal. so any given person who plays it might really like one aspect but dislike the rest. Some people like it for the historical period worlds and exploration, some (faggots) like it for the dramatic stories, and some people like it for the assassination type shit. But you can't please them all, because the games constantly conflict these elements with eachother, and each title seems to pull in a different direction.

It's pretty decent but if you like grindy stuff then you'll probably like it more. If you want to do a bunch of the sides quests, clear all the forts and whatnot you could probably have 75+ hours in your first playthrough no problem.

Yeah it's good. You have multiple ways to build your character to be viable and to grind stuff towards that goal with a way to invest unecessary skill points into a mastery system that gives you a lot more choice.

For example I'm using gear that gives me +100% damage and reduces my hp to 25%, then a lot of assassin damage gear, +30% armor penetration etc, then putting points into the "you deal assassination damage on normal hits". I can practically one shot everything with hero strike on hard and farm battlefields with multi shot. Unfortunately once you unlock most legendary armor sets finding loot becomes kind of useless, but there's always the slim chance that epic gear spawns with the same stat twice, which makes it better than legendary gear.

The quest to collect and restore the Mycenaean armor ends with Alexios/Kassandra seeing holographic stele shit that the other guy couldn't.

Because in AC's case, what you are playing and the universe Layla is in, isn't actually a potrayal of earth's history. It's a simulation and the owners of that simulation are also in a simulation. Through the ages of tampering with the recorded history (like artifacts and mythical beasts being real) and passing it down to the next generation, who will simulate it as well, things just become really fucking romanticized and that's a reality for them.

Post-Julio-Claudian Rome so you can encounter questlines with real life historical Christian characters like Justin Martyr, Origen, Tertullian, Cyprian, or St. Helena, or even the first Apostolic Evangelists like St. Peter or St. Paul.

Full CPU usage heavily implies that the game is using the maximum potential of it if the framerate is uncapped. If it's sub-vsync level, then that means the CPU isn't good enough. Awful optimization would mean the game is hovering below 100% usage on an uncapped framerate. Educate yourself you fucking monkey.
