Yes, based Miyazaki
Based of Yea Forums's reaction it sounds like it.
Either way I highly recommend this game. Good combat, good aesthetic, good challenge. Plot is a little weak but whatever.
Just parry him bro
Yeah, the way the combat is designed around constantly needing to parry, how literally everything two shots you and the lack of RPG mechanics means its definitely harder than their other games.
what's the strategy here? just jump over the boy?
I prefer Nioh and DS, but it still was a good game
I had a bit of trouble before I realized it basically wants to clear enough distance from you to be able to do the charge, so if you just chase him constantly he never gets enough time to build a charge before you stagger him out of it.
i beat this thing first try
i learned a long time ago that from's 'big animal' bosses are always the easiest as long as you dont get scared
Can anyone tell me where the FUCK to go at the end of the game? I have to get back to the Asahina reservoir to meet up with my little lord, but the castle is on fucking fire and if I follow the smoke I come up against an impossible jump.
The only place I've found in an hour's worth of searching is the fucking demon of burning OH FUCK 3 HEALTH BARS NO PLEASE who rapes my ass and seems like an optional boss.
It's the dark souls of the dark souls genre
Dude it's the same way it's always been.
Just beat Genichiro lads, I fucking love this game, dsfags absolutely btfo.
U wat now?
I like that if you wan't to get a perfect parry you can't just spam the parry button since a bad parry does posture damage to you so it rewards skill and good reflexes
Secret door under the bridge, like at the beginning. Prepare your anus.
Beat him first try, but it was close. Spamming run to stay close to his anus really helped. Bloodborne taught me that from likes to punish people who try and create too much space between them and the boss, and if you hug this guy's flanks and legs you're pretty safe.
I'm tempted to buy it seeing as how Hollow Knight has me hooked on pure masochism. The question is if it's worth dropping 60 dollars right now for it?
I hear the combat is far removed from Dark Souls (aka focusing on rolling will get you murdered by a fatass weeb troll faster than he can yeet you into the abyss), but is there anything else that's interesting about it? Besides the stealth mechanics, though I kinda don't understand how they work
Beat it on my first try. Scared the fuck out of me as I was not expecting it. He got stuck in the corner and kept sliding and turning around, giving me ample time to keep whacking its face. Sprint and jump is all you need.
>no coop to get carried by other players
>no shield block backpedal
>no vitality/end pumping
>no broken armor set
>no cheese weapon setup
>no bow poking
>no down-time during bossfights since their healthbars are posture based which means you can't just continuously run away and take a quick sippy if you don't want their healthbar to recover
>stats increase through limited items which means you can't just farm yourself to an insanely high SL to power through encounters
>weapon moveset is deliberately simple, low range, doesn't have easily accessible poke moves that you can hit from a dozen dick-lengths away
Name a more based dev.
Western version of AC Last Raven came first. Sekiro is the second one.
No, this is.
If it took you more than 5 tries to kill Lady Butterfly you are a casual subhuman and should leave immediately
>>>/plebbit/
So do you eventually get rid of the rot statues or does the game just permafuck you?
nah, most people gave up on ogre
How do you kill the giant fish, just hit it a bunch or is there some gimmick for it?
Now go to the cave beyond the poison pool
>Struggling with the easiest boss in the game
OH NO NO NO
You can just roll towards all of his attacks and dodge everything. Beat him on first try will no gourd charges, and most of the other mini-bosses destroyed me.
Does dragonrot spread faster if I choose to resurrect?
I've been only choosing 'die' because I thought I could avoid the mechanic completely but it seems it still spreads anyway
guys how to I even fight big snek?
>Kill Guardian Ape
>Alright, that was a cool little, but I'm glad to be done with it
>It comes back with a second phase
Fuck off Miyazaki. Am I almost done with this kusoge?
Literally run at his ass, not even kidding, the run in the game is so damn fun and underrated. People are still playing this like souls or bloodborne.
>can one-hit kill damn near every enemy
>free respawn
>free high speed rope exits
>free blocking and parrying
>free sprinting
he's based for making such an easy game
Don't forget
>no iframes
dying is literally what causes it you brainlet
Can someone who is near the end of the game help?
I'm back at the castle after the purple dudes invaded and I'm in coversation with Owl and the game makes me want to choose to obey Kuro or stay with Kuro. Is this how I choose the ending? Which is better?
So avoiding resurrect has been doing the opposite?
Fuck
>Dark souls with weeb skin
>ITS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THOUGH
It only spreads when you die, not when you resurrect
>everything kills you in 2-3 hits
I feel like this would be a very hard difficulty option in any other game
In another area you can now fight it again and in it's new second phase it summons a second ape.
Beat him second try, literally just run around him and hit his ass
the first phase is a gimme.
OH NO
WHAT DO I DO
Does the attack buff from that one consumable do anything against bosses? Are any consumables worth using? I keep forgetting they exist but some of them do seem useful
I love Emma!
So is this game really worth the price then?
Kill them, you get booze
Reaching a point where basically everything is blocked by spooky ghosts and I have no more confetti.
Apparently the blue samurai dudes in the castle drop them but I haven't gotten a single one after multiple runs and no merchant sells it. Even Transient Curse wasn't this bullshit.
Is there a bug where Gyoubu refuses to die? I've death blowed this fucker 5 times or more and he just keeps attacking. Is there something special I need to do?
side with kuro - "normal" ending
side with owl - bad ending
So long as that price is $20, sure.
FUCK FUCK FUCK
I personally love the combat. Parrying is a huge deal but you also need to utilize jumping and your mobility advantage. The combat is so satisfying that I don't mind getting wrecked over and over again, and they generally put spawn points near tough enemies/areas so you can quickly get back into the action.
Still really early on, I feel like there's a lot I'm still missing. Like how do I deal with the shield guys other than waiting 20 years for them to do their charge move? Their shield bash is predictable enough to parry that I can deal with them one-on-one no problem, but there's ALWAYS two of them.
the fuck is this? how do you break AI like this? she never behaved retarded for me.
Name one (1) Miyazaki directed title not worth the price.
Old and busted
I love Kuro!
Do I die in either of them?
Under what bridge, there are like 30 of the fucking things. I can't even get into the fucking reservoir, I'm stuck at the castle statue.
This is drastically less casual than any Souls game I've played (never played Demon's Souls). The fact combat is orientated around parrying makes it much more difficult. Isshin is a MOTHERFUCKER.
Still can't get my DS4 working in game. Tried my v1 and v2 controllers, no work.
Tried every "fix" posted.
Tried wired/wireless/DS4Win/input mapper/steam big picture/exclusive
KB:M = nope
HAHahahahaaahahaa
it spreads when you die, the whole point of the mechanic is you are supposed to use it to go back to the idol to reset without getting hit. Or use it to squeeze out a victory if the mini boss is low. It's actually a really good mechanic. The problem is most of the from fan base is low iq.
Based.
Side with owl gives you bad ending, and there are multiple endings you can get if you help Kuro (game continues further if you pick that one)
It's starting to grow on me a bit. Still nowhere near any souls game
yeah i have no idea. the merchant that moves into the temple sells a note about them. i think what triggers them is when you pickup that scroll that has black mortal blade info.
Hide PS4 you dumbnut
Pirate nigger btfo
>Still nowhere near any souls game
Dark Souls 2 and 3 are pieces of shit; Sekiro is a fucking masterpiece.
You now realize that there is a save point and a clear path to every boss encounter without having to fight anybody.
It's a stealth game. You are supposed to be a fucking ninja
That's "exclusive mode"
Guess again. Me stating I tried steam big picture should have given you a hint.
You get the axe and you can break their shields.
how do I kill the big fish?
This
The statues are very forgiving
So far the only retarded "run back to boss" segment has been the armored dude with the 4 midgets in the road.
The combat looks fluid as shit, that alone has me tempted to grab it right now.
Question remains as to if it still remains a challenge towards the late game, because as much as I like to have better ways to kill mother fuckers, I'd still like to get my ass handed to me throughout, rather than have a rough patch at the beginning and having it be easy shit towards the end
>without having to fight anybody
Except bosses.
>fall down hole in dungeon
>Dude shooting ghost heads everywhere.
What the fuck do I even do here?
>slowly creep around to avoid combat
>or retarded BLITZKRIEG to the fog wall
I honestly preferred the way previous Soulsborne games did it.
You have to deathblow him twice. So reduce his posture and stab him, then when you see red stab him again.
1. find axe
2. throw ash at them
Literally can't.
Maybe that guy who had all of Bamco against him and still made Ace Combat 7.
youre like 80% through
what does dragonrot do?
I gave rice to the old lady for the 2nd time, and now I'm supposed to make monkey dance. The snake inside the cavern is relentless, time to use puppet illusion on monkey and see if I can use it as bait.
You have found the secret area, right?
I get it now, I just figured it was the other way around with the game punishing you for choosing to resurrect constantly
>glitched AI
>l-look how easy
Also phase 1 which is just warm up.
Anything using that purple fire motif is considered a ghost/apparition and you need divine confetti to do appreciable damage to them
You can add non Steam games to Steam to get Big Picture.
It makes retarded faggots ask what dragonrot does
Is that a reward for finishing the area, or did I have to find it somewhere?
Progressively kills NPCs. Emma offers you a cure.
Kills NPCs.
what's the reasoning behind looting not being automatic?
You can go full Rambo, you just don't have to.
>Question remains as to if it still remains a challenge towards the late game
Mooks can get oneshotted and you also have the HP Regen on shinobi execution, the beasts later on are the hard part.
Run around the arena as much as the bull does, and use all your shinobi papers on shuriken. Running doesn't drain posture or anything, so use it more often.
I feel like every single fucking encounter in the game is pleb filter
and Im the one being filtered
yeah but what does it do?
>TFW I'm so good at the game people think the AI glitched
What are the little pink icons above the health bar?

Adding pirate games to steam seems like a real great idea!
i struggled way more against pic related
>smugposting
>anime reaction image
wow what a fag
disable nvidia overlay in geoforce experience. then go into device manager diable and renable HDI compliant game controller.
yeah, but what does it do tho
help
The final boss is extremely hard. I just can't beat him
I haven't even seen all his phases yet. I had to quit. I'll try again tomorrow.
Where can I get more confetti? Wasted all of it against the dude that summons heads and now I want to kill the Headless
Any tips for headless? The random teleport and super slow attacks seems like such a pain in the ass.
How is he able to move his fingers with the prosthetic? Weeb magic?
>The major mechanic in the game centers around keeping the pressure on enemies
>The game literally pauses before that fight and says "Okay, you fucking idiot. If you want to win you have to keep the pressure on."
>Hurrhurr glitched AI
>Mooks can get oneshotted and you also have the HP Regen on shinobi execution, the beasts later on are the hard part.
Right well fuck it, I'm convinced, gonna grab it now. Thanks for the info Sekiro-user
Parrying is REALLY HARD
>tfw you're fucking shit at it
He has multiple phases?
Fighting the first guy again every time sucks ass, and the last boss himself has a cunt of a phase 3. It's tough
Nobody would ever resurrect and the challenge of retreating wouldn't happen if that was the case
Bait him to attack and when he's retreating quickly run to the left of the bridge and jump, you should be able to hook behind the snake
Is it worth using the dragonrot restoration immediately or just wait till you die more and then use it?
This place is fucking beautiful
what is this comedy gold
If an NPC is afflicted with dragonrot does it get worse if you progress through the game or is it purely tied to deaths? Like say in theory an NPC has dragonrot at the start of the game and you go through the entire game without dying again would that NPC eventually die anyway?
HP on deathblow I'd the best skill
go back, you need the mortal sword
Remember where you first started the game?go there, kill the guy and keep going
at least i think this is the right way
Does this game more or less confirm that the majority of Yea Forums summoned their way through the Souls games?
nvm i'm stupid
well said
>Spam parry to win
>Spamming parry is considered a bad parry and does posture damage to you
Oh no, how will casuals recover from this
Chained Ogre was doing a good job of filtering me but I eventually got it and the rest of the game hasn't gotten me as frustrated now.
Yeah the giant buddha statues get me going
how much does it restore?
It's not you fucking weeb, just spam the button as fast as your finger is capable of. The game really doesn't care much about parry timing.
Compared to Nioh and Ghost of Tsushima, it's the best game aesthetically, imo.
has anybody found where blackhat badger fucks off to after you buy out his stock?
thanks. I got surprised and rolled when I ran into him. didn't expect to get charged by a flaming bull
FUCK GENICHIRO
FUCK SEVEN ASHINA SPEARS
YYYYOOOOOOOOOOooooooo
Yeah it's painfully obvious. Although Sekiro is harder than Souls and you'll have to unlearn Souls depending on your usual playstyle. Luckily I'm a major DMC fag and I love parrying so this was very much up my alley.
Pretty small amount but it still helps
if you die to any "boss" other than the shinobi execution ones you might as well uninstall
Game's trash
well fuck me i'm totally going on the wrong direction ignore me
People forget that there's no stamina in this game
No, this is. And I'm getting filtered.
Make this thread again if pic related isn't able to cheese his way through with handholding/guides/cheese
DSP is the test if the game is actually mechanically hard or easily cheeseable
PRAISE ISSHIN
for salvaging the final boss fight from shit into kino
The lightning man was way easier than this stupid fucking nigger ape
You can tell where the main group of the players are at on Yea Forums. They just keep posting the same boss until one of them beats it and calls it a casual filter. Then that changes after a bit and they find a new boss to have trouble with
i too troll this way
t. Sunbro
>game makes evade-evade-smack no longer viable
>"Durrrrrr u gaiz casuls"
It confirms damn near everyone that played Souls has had dodgerolling seared into their brains.
HOW DO I DODGE THE BLAZING BULL
WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO
>Daddy asks me to betray Kuro
>say sure why not it'll probably just lead into an infinite loop and funnel you to the right answer like it did earlier in the game
>it wasn't an infinite loop at all
I have made a grave mistake
Nah, I'm on the right track. I just got both Dried and Fresh fruits which turned out to be serpent organs. Don't know what they do though.
This game sucks dick desu
Just you wait until you have to fight two apes at once
dude i am losing my mind watching DSP play this
>wow i keep getting hit because the roll sucks in this game
JUST BLOCK AND PARRY YOU DOUBLE NIGGER
it makes them sick, it doesn't kill them right?
His second phase is so fun to parry
roughly as much as the filled in part. It adds up and allows you to save the healing item for situations in which you actually need them.
Hope you're happy with killing Emma you monster
Game started out as the hardest From software title.
Just got the M.B and so far the hardest enemy has been the Armored Knight. Legit thought I was supposed to cleave his armor off with Spear but nope just got lucky on tossing his ass off the cliff.
Love the boss combat, don't understand how previous Soul streamers cannot grasp the combat in this, running away and dodging will get you killed more times than not. Stay in enemy's face all the time. Shuriken + RB Dash attack is legit best move in the game for every human boss.
its spoonfeeding
How to feal with caster in forgotten dungeon that spams purple shit? There are far too many projectiles.
If there is one good thing that came out of Sekiro, it is the fact is has exposed how Yea Forums is full of casual shitters who can't handle a little challenge.
>tfw From finally figured out that they can't make good dragon fights so instead they made it a really good set piece
can i get a primary weapon other than a sword?
Beat him first try and only sipped the gourd once
Just run and its super easy
You get multiple cures. I for one have 4 droplets ready to go.
They'll die after a while.
I don't think he's gonna make it, Yea Forumsros.
>just got lucky on tossing his ass off the cliff.
ROBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERT
the fall is scripted
>previous Soul streamers
They think it's a souls game so they play it like a souls game, sometimes ignoring the parry mechanic completely
everything I see of the game makes me want to play it less.
>DSP is still relevant
How the fuck is he still around? I thought he dropped out of the internet three years ago
Unbelievably based!
youtube.com
>MARATHON SIMULATOR
lmao we are really comparing this to Gael Slave Knight?
You don't dodge him. You run around him and hit his ass once or twice before running again.
I got the second phase to 1 hit away from deathblow and then I pressed dodge instead of jump. so fucking tilted I dont want to even think about that fucking nigger for today.
it was easy as fuck you you literally RIDE THE LIGHTNING
is anyone playing this on a 1050ti? i just want to make the game 60fps but the only way i can is to play under 1080p
>31 deaths + 1
Does he even have any NPCs left?
How much longer is the other route? Game feels cut pretty short with the Shura ending
Is Genichiro Ashina the final boss? I don't want to fight him yet if that's the case.
The ending I got got a better final Isshin fight.
It's not this guy, right?
I figured and noticed he was destroying the area around him but had no idea how to toss him. Just so happen to Deathblow him near a broken window. Laughed alot.
Legit stupid. The game straight up tells you that parrying is the only way to win in the first ten minutes. Just hurts to watch.
>tfw I missed the axe
DUDE LMAO WHAT IF WE TOOK A CLERIC BEAST AND GAVE IT NITO SCREAMS + DANCER MOVES
LMAO
yeah, the game is centered around duel-style sword combat. Most enemy types are humanoid weapon wielders with thrust, sweep or grab mechanics with different counters of which dodging is just one. In Souls games dodging used to be the answer for every attack type and it would have ended up the same if they gave your dash the iframes people were accustomed to in Souls games.
Go find the old lady in the outskirts.
>t. Soulsshitter trying to play it like a Souls game
Cope.
>two choices in mini bosses in this area
>spear guy that nearly ignores the thrust counter move by shrugging me off it
>one armed kicking autist that does 90% of my health per hit
>That scene where he asks you to close your eyes and he upgrades your resurrections
That was way too lewd
What show is this?
>Legit thought I was supposed to cleave his armor off with Spear
There are multiple hints in the game about this but I've yet to actually see an enemy who had armor that I could remove with the spear. unless it means the weak as fuck mooks who die to the spear attack in the first place. I've got both hearts, killed the monkey, killed all the headless, been mostly everywhere at this point.
I have no fucking clue what those "spear can remove armor" hints are even for.
>FUCK SEVEN ASHINA SPEARS
Honestly he is easy.
>sneak around to get free death blow
>Use spear counter skill on his thrusts
>During one of those counters he will go in right after with a quick telegraphed swing
>Parry
>He loses his footing allowing you to hit him 2-3 times
>rince and repeat since he spams his thrust quite often if you just jump away from him.
Back from buying food.
Beat the game, best ending, feel free to ask me anything.
Artificial difficulty.
I'm having a hard time parrying the first non-tutorial miniboss. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I know I can just skip him but I wanna beat him.
That just looks tedious that not fun. Like jesus christ that's slow.
I'm pretty sure you can remove the armor on the bell-wielding fatties.
Is it in your top 10 vidya?
What does dried and fresh serpent visceras do?
no
Do you know where the guy who trades in carp scales is? Apparently he has both mask pieces but I only found the one in Hirata and I'm worried that I don't have enough carp scales
How long did it take you? Did you enjoy it?
Nah, same old manlet model but he has a big black iron hat instead
Hard to say because I'd first have to make a list.
It's pretty good, though.
>parrying Kite-ninja
Fucking hell that was dope
I have the same problem as help us stop being retarded
Fuck it just bought it to take a break from nier (really enjoying nier but NG + as 9S is very similar to the first playthrough so I want a change of pace) so would you guys recommend English or Japanese VA?
Do you just need one snap seed for the butterfly? I'm trying to gauge how many chances I have here
Best place to farm money?
Where can I get the armor this guy is asking for?
Yeah, this got to be the worst combat in anny game I ever played. wtf are they thingking,
The sound he makes when he hits the bottom is the best thing. It's like a meteor crashing down.
>be happy i killed the gorilla
>THAT happens
what the fuck dude
youtube.com
youtube.com
The 1060 usually can give up to 20-25fps more than the 1050 ti at max settings. Even trying low detail won't give you 60 fps?
This game looks like they kept only the worst elements from Souls games.
>swamps (now underwater parts but whatever)
>run back to the boss battle instead of having a checkpoint right outside
>later in the game you just have to fight two of a boss
I want to get it, but fuck am I paying full price.
>They'll die after a while.
I died like 150+ times already, no way they are dead?
It defaults to Jap for a reason.
Fuck snake eyes rifle bitch so much
Was enjoying the fuck out of this until i got to her
>blocks every single one of your attacks
>her fucking grab is basically a homing missle, there have been times where i jump behind her back and her grab animation does instant transmission and she still gets me
Fuck her to hell shes bullshit
I believe it was just supposed to be for the Bell Fatty. You are supposed to get the spear before continuing and fighting him.
JYYOOOWAHHHH
What skills do i need to get first ?
WHERE TO FARM FULMINATED MERCURY!!!!!
You need them for the best ending.
~25 hours, enjoyed immensely.
The general guy? He's weak to deflections so just work on your timing.
He's not looking for armor, he's looking for a BIG GUY. (4 you)
You later get a watery place full of nobles that drop a lot of gold and are really easy to kill.
Firecrackers, it's the most OP shit in the game.
the 2nd vendor is in the fountainhead place.
If you have the poison blade prosthetic use that on her.
You don't need snap seeds at all. Just run around and avoid her illusions and kunai until she takes away the illusions herself.
This is the worse version of his fight in the true one you get to assist him in seppuku if you win.
What? That's it? I think I've fought like 10 bell fatsos, I just stealth kill them usually or counter the bell swings until they get pissed and do their big-guy-tantrum-combo-that-drains-their-own-posture thing.
Is it possible to miss it? I'm fighting Owl right now and don't know if I'm nearing the end already.
Mikiri counter is absolutely essential. Later on you unlock more skills By helping out a tengu by the big house connected to the first boss battlefield area, gotta beat boss first. Which area really good.
This shinobi hunter dude is total bullshit, is the entire game going to be like this
>he's looking for a BIG GUY.
But everyone is big in comparison to Sekiro
Is it the fatty in Senpou?
So I just talking to Isshin and beat his grandson at the top of the castle. What do you anons recommend I do now?
Temple for the mortal sword?
Go the ashina depths?
Or go through the old graveyard?
Something really cool is that you dont have to go through a loading screen for npc events to occur anymore. I talked to the basket dude, went to the other side of the pond, came back and "it" happened, no loading necessary
Parry all her strikes, only move away when she winds up red sign attack. You can backstab her by crossing space by grappling trees and landing on Buddha statue.
What do you use the dried and fresh snake hearts?
Haven't encountered him yet but Dunkey's video ruined that for me. Hoping maybe having the MB will change that fight.
>Demon of Hatred
Nvm just killed him. Sprinted around in a circle and jumped every time it charged, used firecracker every few passes to scare it. Pretty gay fight, it's not clear what kind of evasion works. Do I sprint? Do I jump over? Do I do a kickflip on its head? Do I dodge into it? Do I block? Do I parry?
Where do I get more Divine Confetti?
How are people struggling with horse guy? Beat him on my second try in like two minutes. Lady Butterfly was a little harder, took me about two tries. The only enemies I feel I can't beat now are purple guy and headless dude, I will just ignore them for now.
Where does blackhat move to in senpou temple?
>You need them for the best ending.
What else do you need
Just dodge into his thrusts and force him to do normale attacks by letting him block.
Cool, so there's no important dialogue during combat or anything right? That's normally the main reason I stick to English in most Jap games.
Yeah, I am six bosses deep now, that's the only enemy it seems to break armor on. Could be wrong but I think thats it.
Or maybe the black guy looking for the song, I honestly don't know because I finished both of their quests in a way which doesn't let me lend them to him.
Traders sell unlimited amounts once you get the item that opens up every trader inventory.
Can't remember where it's dropped though hehe.
>The general guy? He's weak to deflections so just work on your timing.
You mean just blocking him and countering when I can? I can't remember the mechanic names.
You can farm it from the blue samurai.
Mortal sword the are is gorgeous and opens up and finishes two NPC quests
literally go wherever the fuck you want, the game is more or less structured as demons souls, all areas get harder the deeper/further you go
>DSP is the test if the game is actually mechanically hard or easily cheeseable
It's frightening how accurate this is, dsp is indeed a really good metric for that
I want people like you to die of slow heart failure.
It's not even that, it's the fact you can't spaghetti your way through the game by tapping the win button (dodge) for I frames all the time
>so there's no important dialogue during combat or anything right?
Correct.
Only them, but you gotta open up the option first from the cute resurrection shrine girl, the place is important for a reason.
Yeah, keep up the pressure by staying on his face, attack as much as you can and block(parry/deflect) as soon as he deflects your attacks.
How long until From patches the game for casuals to enjoy?
how get best ending
I didn't like the game at first, then I started trying to counter all the time instead of dodging everything like I did in the other souls games
it clicked
right click -> properties on the game and force input, if the controller works in steam it should now work in any game.
i cheesed the drunk
i dont regret it
I don't even know what I'm doing. I have two snakehearts but they don't do anything. I found the mortal blade but the little shit won't use it for some reason. I think I preferred it when these game had no plot to speak of.
WHY THE FUCK ARE GHOST NIGHTJARS SPAWNING ALL OVER MY GAME
AM I FUCKING GETTING GRAVELORDED
Do you literally want me to spell it out for you?
What do you guys predict his death count will be for Sekiro?
> black guy looking for the song,
I lured him into the dungeon, the NPC that asked me to do it now needs a pair of red eyes from Mibu Village, so yeah might be a different questline
Uh, fountainhead is the last zone of the game, so no not really.
that's not how fight goes, play the game it's free ffs
Nice, Japanese it is. So how stealthy can you be? I really liked forms take on tenchu.
If i get the items for the true ending can i still choose to get the other endings instead?
t. scumlord who wants to backup save for all ending trophies.
Retard
Same, i just said fuck it and cheesed her with the poison lake
He's on a ledge near the very first idol in the region. Travel to the ideal, jump down, then turn around and follow the slope downards. He'll be on the ledge on the left hand side (cliff side).
If you don't use stealth regularly, you're gonna have a hard time.
How do I get that sword on your back?
Not true.
It's the last new zone but older zones change even after it.
Yes, you can choose at the end, except for the early ending decision that's super obvious.
So how wired and supernatural does the game get? Because I like the look of it but the setting from what I've seen isn't doing much for me, but if things get bizarre I'm sure I'll like it.
He will quit before it goes higher than the rest
So many replies, didn't read. I'm DLing it right now.
I'm going in without knowing a lot. One thing I want to know: can you use different weapons & armor? Every video I see has someone using the katana & wearing the same outfit. Is the only variation you get in weaponry the prosthetic?
Fuck all
Motherfucker is already at 34 at the first chain ogre
/thread
Kek
I highly doubt he'll be able to finish the game.
Gets pretty FUCKING weird.
I was legit super spooked at points.
I don't know how you'll manage the second one
Go to Senpou after the bossfight with Genichiro
How the FUCK do I beat Giantdad.
I kinda wish I could play the game without the threat of Dragonrot lingering over my head.
Just got to Lady Butterfly and I think she's a insanely fun fight and I've almost beaten her a couple of times but afraid to try more because I've already Died twice to her and I know the next time it will spread Dragonrot.
I predict he won't even bother to finish it, the game isn't good.
Just ignore that shit man
Piercing Sabimaru
You can sneak atack her if you rest in the idol on the far left of that zone, you have to kill the two mook guards in the tent everytime you try tho
Talk to Emma, she gives you a remedy.
Dude dragonrot is literally a non-issue later on, trust me.
You get so many tears to cure it, relax.
It's really not a big deal. The item to remove Dragonrot is dirt cheap and there's more than enough
I'm an old dude, I turned 31 today. I watched somebody on a stream getting one shot by a boss and this game takes the difficulty meme to a new level. I played them all(only finished ds3 and demons souls) but I don't remember them being designed like this, it was like "Dead lol". The shield was a good thing imho, slower speed was also integral part of the formula.
DSP is able to finish every game, video games aren't hard, if he quits the game it will be because he doesn't respect it.
Why do you care? Dragonrot is a non-issue
> DaS harder than DeS
I must have been playing DeS very wrong.
>accidentally used my very first Dragon's Blood Droplet (as in, ate it like any other consumable)
>didn't use it at a "bonfire" to cure NPCs from Dragonrot
Anons, how fucked am I?
I only used maybe four droplets to cure dragonrot and I'm near the end of the game. I have 7 in storage still
I'm not far in, but it's easier than Bloodborne so far. I beat ogre first try and I just beat Tenzen Yummy-Ouchy on my third try with no resurrection. Don't let the difficulty discourage you, the combat is extremely tight and responsive.
Didn't he dislike RE2 remake? His opinion is worthless. You're probably right too.
Dragonrot spreads on deaths but it doesn't progress. So if someone already has dragonrot, they won't magically get worse if you keep dying, their death timer doesn't speed up or anything.
What food did you buy?
I wouldn't worry about it, you can also reset it a number of times
yeah since apparently there are 4 endings?
>The shield was a good thing imho
Sekiro's sword has 100% physical block. It basically is a shield.
you get plenty later
Is it true that they gave journos copies with tuned down difficulty? No way all those blue checkmarks who whined about souls would have wrote that this game is easier than those.
Keep in mind that he has streamchat with him
He's right about RE2 being shit though.
He fakes it for views
This isn't a Souls game.
Yeah i did the other one normally, in fact i've just beaten the game. I could've done her without cheese but if i get the oportunity to cheese unfun bosses and i'm lazy i'll do it.
>Clench my ass amd finally defeat Genichiro
>"This aint even my final form, bozou"
>Turns into fucking Raijin and goes full ham
HELP
cooldown for rez
How do I enter the place with the person playing the Shamisen, there's a big ass tree beside the building but I can't grapple to it
Not at all. It's an infinite item. Once you find the merchant hiding in Ashina castle and save him from guards he moves to the dilapidated temple and you can buy droplets from him for 180 sen.
Not much. Most vendors in the game sell it
Can you use it?
I liked to slower gameplay with a shiled to.
But somhowe these nips need to kill all the fun
I have 4 in my inventory and had to use 2
>those nightjar assholes on the rooftops
>kamikaze kite ninjas
>chainsaw shuriken
>FLAMING Chainsaw shuriken
>one saw me and whistled, swarmed by like 8 of those motherfuckers
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
All her attacks are easy to parry. Just be careful for her grab attack and you'll be good to go.
my.mixtape.moe
You can literally press L1 or whatever to keep your guard up and block most attacks, it's actually encouraged to keep your guard up since it replenishes your posture faster
I doubt it since he barely gets by financially speaking.
Can you farm tears later on?
I hate spending a cure just to save one fuckface from dying, wasn't so bad if it's 2 guys at the same time like at the start
There's literally a shield prosthetic for people like you.
t. a 31 cis white male.
Are you retarded? you can buy a droplet. That's all he has.
Is it normal for the pirated version of this game having the steam overlay on it?
I just kept trying to parry. I didn't even think to do regular attacks. I'm retarded. Thanks.
Yes but it uses your consumables
Yes
>Sword Saint
>uses a halberd and a rifle
BRAVA MIYAZAKI
If you parry too early you just block 100% of the damage, and your block only ever breaks if your stance meter or w/e fills up
keep your distance and jump when he uses lightning, then spam r1 when the lightning hits you
This is the first time I feel hard stuck. The fight is not even close.
How do you trigger someone with dragonrot dying then? Boss/story progress?
Close steam before starting the game retard.
The biggest dissapointment about this game is it has an incredibly low number of areas to the point some late game bosses are fought in the same arena as early game bosses demon of hatred in gyobu arena, emma in genichiro arena, isshin in the prologue arena and so on its so dissapointing
what is the last prostheic tool you get? feel like i'm missing one after the fan and shield
I hope you at least fought the ultimate young Isshin.
>I'm an old dude, I turned 31 today.
Come on man
Is this From's most kino game to date?
...That's literally what I just said.
Ham + pineapples pizza, chocolate protein milk, potatoes and meat.
The buddhist temple shrine girl gives you the option of her eating snake halves to produce a frozen tear. You need to talk with her a few times and possibly get a text from the bottom of the pond next to where the armored warrior is.
You've gotta go the long way 'round, got stuck there for like 20 minutes as well. The way comes from around to the tree.
Yeah, A droplet. 1 user.
Is Shichimen warrior the worst miniboss?
>literally just run around for 10 minutes
>There's another one that's the exact same fight but with a shittier fighting arena
The strange thing is that my DS4 only works with Sekiro if Steam is running in the background while I'm playing it.
I've been doing this since I have my account and nothing ever happend,:^)
t. DSP
RE2 remake was an 8/10 game, not shit by any means.
BB and Sekiro are top tier Kino
It's a fairly long timer that ticks down from the moment they get dragonrot. I don't know how long it is, but its pretty damn long.
I THINK the timer differs for NPCs though, because lots of people got dragonrot at the same time for me, and the wounded soldier and his mother were dead in their house when I went over there the next time after I healed it but other NPCs were not.
I think it might be
>the worst miniboss
Do you have the flame vent? t's the easiest one to miss.
I accidentally used the snap seed that guy gave me before I was able to fight lady butterfly, are there any more?
is there a progression order in this game? I've only killed horse guy
I'm stuck at Lady butterfly and I have all these areas unlocked
>sunken valley
>castle upper chamber
>buddhist level
How do I even fight it? Just run away from projectiles and wait for window to hit, no additional mechanics that I'm missing?
It's kino. Second only to BB.
You only need one you retard. One heals everyone.
Shichimen warriors and headless are the ones you need divine confetti and relaxing potion to kill.
I did, fucking kino fight. I got the sad ending though, wish i knew that you had to befriend the loli or something.
You consume them on use. Holy shit you're retarded.
you don't need it.
There is more, you can always go exploring and come back later
Yes, though they did go Dark Souls 2 on the mini bosses.
>Mini boss
>Has like 8 people around him at all times
>Have to kill them all beforehand and wait for the miniboss to de-agro
>Finally take one life bar away with a stealth attack
>Don't know the miniboss patterns, die
>Have to do it all over again
If they were 1v1s or at least if they had like 3 dudes with 'em it would be fine, but they went overboard with the gank squads Dark Souls 2 style. Other than that, the game is fucking amazing.
I hate any of the Apparition type enemies since it adds an extra layer of annoyance (confetti and Terror). I guess O'Rin is alright.
>attack power 13
how many fucking bosses are there? I've gotten the same amount of guards as you but I have 5 attack power
is there any boss (or major enemy) in this game that isn't reskinned from another souls game?
Yes, and in the second phase he gets a laser attack that's bullshit but that's about it
Does the divine confetti make you deal more damage to them or what?
Save your money and just play dark souls 3 with a katana, no vitality and max endurance
>I got the sad ending
The one in which you replace the sculptor? It's the one I got.
>"dude this isn't like souls where you can just use a shield to block everything, it requires SKILL"
>you can literally just spam l1 the entire time without any repercussions and deflect literally every attack
whoah..;... souls fags btfo....
thenk you fren
Just don't worry about it at all, unseen aid is a completely pointless mechanic and people take ages to actually be in any harm from dragonrot, and even then i'd be hard pressed to think of a single NPC i gave a fuck about. Literally just use one every 10 hours and it's a no-brainer
Goes from pretty kino to ludo once you get carried by rope man.
I don't know, as many as I have attack power - 1?
I actually have 10 gourds and that's the max amount.
I'm beside myself with whether or not FromSoft should rebalance the bosses and mini-bosses from my kneejerk day1 reactions to them. I get that they want you to aggressively break their posture, but bosses and mini-bosses take so little posture damage and they shrug it off so quickly that I'm beyond fucking irritated with the game. It isn't fun. I cheesed this bitch here and I feel no remorse. She took no posture damage whatsoever and would two-shot me with any combination of attacks and there is so much prediction involved that it isn't funny. I get hurt even when I see an attack coming, you have to guard before they swing sometimes.
That said, I realize that I'm bitching about a game way too soon. Maybe there is something I'm missing or just need more time to get better at the game.
No, it's their worst game since armored core v. it also looks like trash objectively. textures are awful.
I think its Quantum Leap
Yes.
No, I have trouble fighting people with Spears
Another lie
Use Divine Confetti. It greatly increases your damage to hp and posture to them and lets you pop their orbs with a sword swing. Chug a relaxing potion and Ako Sugar (attack increase) along with confetti then BUMRUSH HIS ASS. With Confetti you'll do enough stagger and posture damage to stop his casting. After a few hits he'll back off and turn invisible, do not follow him or he'll backstab and kill you. Back off instead and wait for him to re-appear in a a different location. Once he does, he will gather energy and do a laser beam attack thing. With Confetti active, you can deflect/parry it and take no damage. Do so then RUSH HIM again. This time his posture will break and you can execute him. Repeat one more time for his second health bar.
If you're fast enough you might be able to get away with using only one Divine Confetti, but I found I needed two. Also if your terror bar ever gets near finishing chug a Relaxing potion immediately - it instant kills you.
Am i the only one who think there's too many mini-boss
In Souls and BB there was a good balance between combat and exploration, but here you don't have any room to breath
you beat a boss there's another one just behind him
>Without any repercussions
Spamming parry is considered a "bad" parry and gives you posture damage, retard
No problem, I beat the game as thoroughly as I could just to help fellas out here.
So, our guy used to work for Ashina, but then was betrayed? I just beat the horseman boss, and there's this tengu guy, who says he's Ashina, but he gives you a quest to kill assassins who are also working for Ashina?
Just get the Thrust Counter.
I just used the feathers
Cope.
>mw Puppeteering a giant enemy and watching it decimate its former underlings
This is what Undead Rapport should have been
What is harder, this or Nioh?
That includes the Nioh DLC.
And you can buy more from the merchant LIKE I JUST FUCKING SAID.
Yes, Confetti properly wrecks their shit. Always bring confetti.
You blow dick dude, end of story. If you can't understand the link between vitality and posture there is no fucking hope for you actually finishing the game. If you're legit getting stuck on minibosses you straight up will not be able to deal with actual multi-healthbar-no-free-execute bosses.
the game is just shallow and jank and fuck. it's poorly designed which is why you can cheese everything.
Wait what, there's a guy hiding in Ashina?
This fight is pure bullshit, you literally can't hit that thing, when you dodge he moves away leaving no openings, fucking impossibile fight. Until you realize you can stun the bull with the firecracker and the fights becomes a joke.
Thank you, Anons. I have 3 NPCs on the verge of dying from Dragoncancer so I guess I better be careful not dying until I find that vendor NPC.
Also, what's the point of eating Dragon's Blood Droplets anyway?
Those whore snake eye bosses really suck at deflecting thrusts btw.
HE ONLY HAS ONE IN STOCK WHATS WRONG WITH YOU. YOU CAN BUY ONE, HE NEVER GETS MORE. LITERALLY ONE.
ONE.
ONE user. YOU USE IT AND ITS GONE AND YOU CANT BUY ANYMORE FROM HIM.
DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT THAT NUMBER MEANS?
Is there a boss rush or something later on? I'm in the Gun Fort right now and I only have 5 attack power.
can I also farm confetti somewhere?
How many prayer necklaces did you assemble I have 8 and I got still 3 prayer beads missing for the next one. I'm running around searching but can't find any more bosses to kill.
Does it warn you before it kills dragonrotted NPCs or how does it work?
I think that's because the game is shorter so they couldn't afford to make too many "rooms to breathe"
What will be the crutch removal of the next soulslike? >inb4 not souls
>Dark Souls
>limited magic casts
>Dark Souls 2
>Stamina nerf
>Bloodborne
>No Shields
>DS3
>....
>Sekiro
>Ok you can block now, but you better parry
>next souls
>You can only slow walk
>Get the bell demon debuff
>Upgrade items are literally raining
Holy shit I should've been using this for a long time
I'll explain it for you:
He works for the boy, who's being held against his will by the current successor of Ashina. Technically he's a rogue Ashina element.
this
dont tell Yea Forums but i think nioh is better
Just firecracker bro.
>super armors through your thrust attack and hits you down to 20% hp
Can you beat this dude at the beginning of the game?
The assassins are from Senpou Temple, which is not part of Ashina.
Yes. On the lower level just before you go up the roofs to get up to the actual castle, there are stairways and shit. One of them leads to left hand U turn into a dead end; he's hiding in there.
Its a merchant thsts hiding behind a wall where those lobg stairs are that lead up to the castle.
>to date?
> Implying this is different to any other Souls game
They are all the same game man...
Nioh 1st half > Sekiro > Nioh second half
9. Did you get the one behind the hidden wall in Asahi castle? That was my last one.
You're still early as heck dude.
They kind of start piling up, but not too much.
should I get this if I cant beat Ludwig in bb
What's a good place to use those items? Just large groups of enemies?
just use your supersonic sprint and follow him and slash his asshole to pieces, easiest miniboss fight in the game
Which one are you?
>1) hold down the block key for blockable attacks
>2) spam block key and hope for a well timed deflect
>3) tap block at just the right time to deflect
Casual scum 2) here.
Holy fuck I went the wrong way and killed Lady Butterfly before the Horse General, all these upgrades would have helped a lot, jesus.
>tfw beat the Drunkard, Horse dude and Bull back to back
I CANNOT BE STOPPED!
No, it's a scripted defeat.
yes but you still lose anyway
Thanks
>The assassins are from Senpou Temple, which is not part of Ashina.
They said they work for the genichiro, or whatever his name is. Isn't that the guy who cuts Wolf's arm off?
Yeah that one
That moment when sekiro is about to stab kuro and the camera pans behind him and you only see him and the grass field
HE DOES GET MORE MERCHANTS INVENTORIES REFRESH AFTER A REST EXCEPT FOR UNIQUE ITEMS
Confetti is available from merchant guy near the stables after you do his 'find me a big guy' quest, OR you can farm them from the blue samurai in Ashina castle. Make sure you use a Mibu Balloon of Possession and the Demon Bell, they're rare.
Sekiro is probably one of the worst cases of from drones I've ever seen. I've beaten Genchiro and I'm still waiting for the game to stop being a hassle to play. Maybe it gets good but fuck me the combat system sure is tedious
>Should I get this if I can't beat a boss that is defeated by strafing to its sides and mashing R1
Unironically, no.
I hate how nobody's calling out the terrible upgrade system for literally being a skill tree as if we've all collectively forgotten why we've moved on from those. Thanks for forcing me to buy all this useless garbage and make it so i'm stuck with the base prosthetics for 70% of the game because somehow scrap iron is one of the rarest materials despite needing it to progress up any upgrade tree. And yes i've found literally every scrap iron available so far so this was very deliberate. I have dozens of mats for later upgrades already.
yeah this fight was something new and okay
the 2 shit apes were annoying
damn
2) Mostly but if it's a repeated miniboss I usually know their attack timings by then and can go for 3)
R1R1R1R1R1R1R1R1
Nioh is more fair and has better designed combat.
Sekiro is almost exclusively trial and error: the game.
All 3 actually
We already have 'you can only slow walk'. It's called the headless fights.
I'm 4) try to tap block at the right time but frequently fail cuz i suck.
Mix between 2/3 depending on the boss (like Genichiro)
HOW THE FUCK DO I GET GOOD AT THIS GAME
>You're still early as heck dude.
Really? After getting the Mortal Blade I assumed I only had another 2-3 zones.
There is nothing wrong with skill trees, if they're properly implemented.
I'm
>4) tap block and either do it perfectly or too late and fucking die
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>kill every boss before taking on the bull
>attack power is high enough to rape the bull into submission
feels good to be rewarded for being a good player
which it shows it in the video retard.
That is the guy who cuts Wolf's arm off. It's never really explained what the short little faggots relationship is with Ashina, just 'hey they are enemies kill them'.
Get ready for more, user.
>MERCHANTS INVENTORIES REFRESH AFTER A REST EXCEPT FOR UNIQUE ITEMS
You're either a complete fucking idiot or a lying piece of shit. Pick one dude.
I'm excited for nioh 2 to blow shitkiro out of the water.
Anywhere really. You can take it off for bosses but they do tons of damage to your health anyway so there's not much difference
Is summoning even beneficial in soulsborne games? I found the boss HP increases to be not worth the trouble because my summons always died way too early.
I just never summoned after the first few tries, but I totally would have if it was worth it.
.t user spammed talismans to cheese everything in the game
Does this nigga fight with his head decapitated?
I literally can not kill this miniboss that's at the beginning of the game, some Shinobi Killer whatever. He has like a three strike thrusting attack with a spear that I can't fucking parry and he two hit kills me easily. Fuck this is way harder than all the dark souls games.
Tengu is a loyal retainer of Genichiros papa, just like you. You'll find out later that he's the one that sent Emma to fetch you at the intro.
In Ashina proper there are three factions:
>Ashina
>Ministers forces
>Rogue Ashina element
You're in the third one.
Better chop chop dude.
You can cheese most of the bosses, just find the way how.
How do I deal with the big armored knight in the bridge tunnel thing? Does chipping off his armor with the spear works? The prosthetic description says it only works on a shoddy looking armor but the guy is wearing full plate
That's almost every souls boss though
The skill tree is AWFUL. Why are mandatory skills like the upgraded Mikiri counter and the deathblow heal locked away? It's not like the game is easy without them. Also why is from so fucking stingy with healing items? It drives me nuts. I'm having a real love hate relationship with this game because for everything it does right it does another thing awfully wrong.
You ALREADY HAVE ONE IN YOUR FUCKING INVENTORY GOOD GOD YOU'RE RETARDED
ILL SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU
TRAVEL SOMEWHERE ELSE
PUT DROPLET IN STORAGE
REST
TRAVEL BACK
DROPLET AVAILABLE AGAIN
jesus
I've never played a Souls game, but I thought I'd give this a try because I was nostalgic for Tenchu.
So far the only bosses and mini-bosses I've beaten are:
>2 samurai generals
>1 ogre
>gyoubu
>1 shinobi hunter
>blazing bull
And now I'm stuck at this faggot general with a spear that guards the little building from the prologue.
I'd be fine with these bosses if I didn't always have to painfully clear the area so his little faggot cronies don't fuck me even harder when I'm trying to beat the boss. At least Gyoubu was fine in that regard. But here you have this spear faggot and Juzou, who have a fucking small army with them that you have to dispose of so they don't swarm you. It's just so tedious.
Maybe I'm just growing out of video games now, but each and every time I die and have to do all that tedious shit over again so I can have a decent attempt at the boss again, I can't help but feel like I'm wasting my time like an idiot, especially since I have class assignments I could be doing.
And I've seen other bosses ahead of me like the fucking giant monkey or the homo bow guy that cuts your arm off (who has two phases), I just know it's going to be hours and hours ahead of me of constant dying and trash-clearing for each attempt.
I'm probably going to drop it, because I know for a fact that I just don't have that time to learn the patterns of these bosses like I used to. Which is unfortunate, but that's the nature of the beast. I'm probably just growing out of the medium as a whole. But oh well. Good game, don't have time to get good.
Agreed. Some awesome ideas but uncharacteristically regressive game design elsewhere (fucking skill trees? Really?)
Based and Niohpilled.
>tfw love the setting, and combat but i'm so shit at the game that i suck all the fun out
How do I get inside the temple?
The sculptor says he won't die from dragonaids and take that for good. I died a lot and people are still just coughing.
the problem is THEY DONT FUCKING EXPLAIN THAT DUDE
Stopped reading at your shit boss list because your opinion objectively has no value for being like 10% through the game.
>PUT DROPLET IN STORAGE
Show me user, how do you put things in storage?
I'll wait.
kill those two, behind them there's a grappling point
where do I get the pure white flower lads
You can buy the droplet regardless if its in your inventory. It gets moved to your storage instead. Are you retarded?
I can picture him saying 'nothing i could do' after dying.
Yeah and if he can't do that, he sure as shit isn't beating Sekiro bosses.
Good god WHY DOES EVERYONE FUCKING THINK THE SPEAR WORKS ON THAT GUY
NO
NO IT DOESNT
IT SAYS VERY CLEARLY POORLY FUCKING FITTING ARMOR
THE KNIGHTS ARMOR IS OBVIOUSLY NOT POORLY FITTING
YOU KNOW WHAT POORLY FITTING IS? THOSE SHIT BREASTPLATES THE OGRE GUYS WITH THE BELLS HAVE, NOT THIS
JESUS FUCK
Also you're supposed to let him destroy the walls then kick him off the bridge via breaking his posture.
even the graphics look so much better lmao. I've noticed sekiro shills are largely also dark souls 2 fanboys. really makes you think.
The skill tree is alright, it's not good, it's not bad, it's just there for the sake of being there
