Pyro may have little requirement of skill, but he also has a serious limitation on capabilities. A well rounded combat class that suits all situations is better for learning than a specialized class for a niche role and combat style.
Learn first, then specialize.

Casual games last only two to three rounds (and it only goes up to three in best of three gametypes and therefore wouldn't be a stomp if it lasted that long). By the time it becomes evident that a scramble is needed, the map is over and teams are scrambled anyway when placed into a new map.
I've had plenty of games where one team would get stomped the first round and then make a come back in the second. Unless you're just the kind of fag who wants to scramble every time your team loses, casual does not need scramble.

The downtime between games in itself is annoying and unnecessary. If your team gets stomped nearly everybody leaves the server by the end of the round because nobody wants to wait several minutes for the map vote, waiting for players time, setup time, etc against a team that just kicked their asses. Next game is almost guaranteed to be stacked again because Valve's ELO system either doesn't work or does an extremely poor job of matching players. The majority of TF2 players are garbage so just having an extra 1 or 2 really good players on one team can sway balance significantly. How good the enemy team is comes down more to time of day than anything. Almost all my matches early in the morning I roll over the enemy team. Late at night all the regulars get on and I have to bust my ass to win. MyM was a shitshow and you're a fucking retard if you think this is an improvement over quickplay.

I miss the artstyle but it's nothing compared to losing population in dedicated servers.
I blame matchmaking for how much more common hackers are today. Having active admins present to permaban hackers was much more effective than VAC or a votekick that only keeps a person out of your current session.
And yeah, I know there are still a few populated servers for mods, 24/7maps, surf, trade, etc, but I just wanna play vanilla tf2.

this is my main beef with current TF2, community servers are dead unless you're a furry, unusual trader, or 13 year old who plays fortnite. Normal community servers are dead, and with it most mods and maps.
