Most of the review sites are multiformat. If the games weren't genuinely impressive in the grand scheme of gaming then neither Mario or Zelda would ever break 90% on metacritic.

PS3 games with a 93 metacritic rating are: MGS rerelease, Oblivion, ME3 and Braid. 360 93 ratings include games like Gears 2, Fallout 3, Rock Band 3, and Bioshock Infinite. With cometition like that, SS deserves higher.
