Daily reminder that Team Sonic Racing will be the last Sonic game before he dies forever
Daily reminder that Team Sonic Racing will be the last Sonic game before he dies forever
Daily reminder that TSR looks fun and you'e wrong 100%
Considering he lived after 06/boom, it's going to take a lot more then just a racing game to keep this hedgehog down
TSR as a game doesn't feel as exciting to me like Transformed did, but damn if i'm not getting it for that soundtrack
Honestly I'm glad they ditched the water/air mechanics.
Sure they were really neat, but sometimes switching between the two (especially with the inverted flying controls on by default) made it feel a bit unnatural.
No way fag, they already announced they're working on one
The next sonic is being worked on right now.
I honestly don't like the flying sections at all, feels almost impossible to catch up from behind in them.
The boat's okay but seems more liable to glitch out, especially if you hit a ramp weird.
I always found catching up easiest when flying since you can cut massive corners while the cpu for some reasons stay a reasonable distance away.
And for the boat, yeah I'll agree with you there. The boat feels too floaty for me and is less of a "Play well and cut corners" and more of a "Just don't screw up and crash"
Also forgot to clarify that i don't think TSR will be a bad game, just that the movie will be the third and final strike to Sonic's reputation
Movie be kino and it is an unironic danger for EP9 to release so close to it.
I guess I just never picked up on how to optimize them. My main problem is half the items you can get are practically useless in the air unless you have godlike aim.
I'm not supposed to care about Sonic after Sonic Forces...
But you will anyways
I like the water and air bullshit, though if i had to choose which is the better i'd obviously go with ground, so on a surface level a game entirely on the ground should be better but i really, really like the dynamic track stuff that Transformed pulls sometimes depending on the lap, like Seaside Hill changing to water in the last lap, NiGHTS pulling different bosses section and damn, the entirety of Sky Sanctuary, Burning Rangers and Golden Axe, really good shit, going back to stactic laps feels unsatisfying to say the least
Yeah the dynamic track changes were really cool.
As I said before, my main problem with the boat/jet was just how they controlled so drastically different (which is expected). But it's hard to go from ground hard turns to something super floaty to the boat controls on a dime.
I mean, they could still change up the laps. Like lap 2 of the Skies of Arcadia level where the whole track is attacked by a Valuan fleet, stuff like that.
>Officer Burpo and his WHITE COP FRIENDS laugh heartily.
Every time
this
They announced a new sonic game is in development.
OP is probably referring to the Sonic movie and not TSR.
>he doesn't think a movie where sonic teams up with a cop doesn't sound cool
next you'll complain about the redesign
Why is Boom considered such a notable disaster when it's just a shitty tv show tie-in?
>He thinks there won't be a Mania 2
There's nothing preventing them from having dynamic tracks with karts only.
The Wii U/3ds games mainly
The tv show is the only positive thing boom gave us
>calarts sonic and nostalgia pandering
>calarts
Kill yourself.
Well despite being just a tie-in it was all Sonic related we had at the time, marketing wise it could've very well be a main game
I really get the feeling TSR is gonna bomb hard.
>Calarts
Don't be so fearful, CTRR is also coming out, so maybe mascot racers may be becoming more relevant.
If by "dies forever", you mean the next mainline Sonic game being utter trash? No shit. Although, at this point I hope the retarded Sonic fans have at least wisened up a bit to know not to buy the next game. Sonic Team doesn't deserve any of the money those games receive
>He wants Sonic team to keep beating Classic Sonic to death
Just let him go. He already had his time to shine in 3K and Mania. Classic pandering ruined almost every Sonic game from this decade
>Classic pandering ruined Lost World and Boom
Ask me how I know you're not 18.
That's good, then.
Sonic anything should have died after 2006.
you could have just ignored him. but nope.
>He wants Sonic team to keep beating Classic Sonic to death
Sonic Team had nothing to do with Mania
I can see it doing okay on Switch. I think CTR will dominate over it on PS4. Kart racing is always dead on PC, so I doubt much will happen there. No clue about Xbone.
>Classic pandering ruined almost every Sonic game from this decade
*Sonic Team ruined almost every Sonic game from this decade
You appear to have made a typo. I believe you meant to type 2002.
>Officer Burpo turns off his body camera and smirks
This. The more classic-inspired art direction was the best part of Lost World. The game's problems had more to do with its shitty design and mechanics
Lost World has the uninspired level themes, reused badniks and Eggman as the surprise villian, again. Boom, however, just sucked because they didn't even told BRB that they were making the game for Wii U
>I hope the retarded Sonic fans have at least wisened up a bit to know not to buy the next game.
Nope not yet
>2002
*1996
As far as classic pandering goes Heroes looked a hell of a lot better than Lost World
>He unironically defends Smurfs 4: Rise of the Hedgehog
>uninspired level themes and Eggman as the surprise villian
And these are "Classic Pandering" how? The badniks shit is kinda understandable, but it's not an argument when Egg Pawns also get used all the time.
The movie will be the final nail in the coffin
>Lost World has the uninspired level themes, reused badniks and Eggman as the surprise villian, again.
Lost World was a terrible game in spite of these things, and you're retarded if you believe otherwise.
Being this stupid
I have no idea if it will make success or not, but for sure, it's gonna end up bad in the quality, infested with heavy DRM.
And even if the game ends up being actually good, it still will never be able to lift up my ultimate disappointment and sadness, over the true matter that neither Riders nor R will ever have good deserved sequels.
>Lost World has the uninspired level themes, reused badniks and Eggman as the surprise villian, again
How did classic pandering cause any of this? The classic games aren't known for uninspired level themes or Eggman being a surprise villain. You could maybe blame the reused badniks on it, but I don't really see this as an issue considering a lot of them were re-imagined in a new art style anyway.
>Not "The Super Mario Brothers 2: Mario Who?"
>marketing wise it could've very well be a main game
Rise of Lyric had Marketing?
That game just dropped on store shelves out of the blue, it got like 2 trailers while all the advertising was about the show.
Transformed for pc had a live playerbase years after release.
I personally managed to get around 500 online races.
Meanwhile, Nintendo keeps rehashing the same New Super Mario game ad nauseam and gets constant fanfare.
>Daily reminder that Team Sonic Racing will be the last Modern Sonic game before he dies forever
Fix
what were the first and second strikes?
>Just let him go. He already had his time to shine in 3K and Mania
And why not let him continue to shine in a Mania followup? Or do you only care if Sonic succeeds when it's using the design you care about?
Riders failed in each iteration. I'm fine with it dead.
06 and RoL, the latter proving that it doesn't even matter if it's a spinoff or not
06 and Rise of Lyric, clearly.
06 and depending on who you ask Forces or Boom
I would be totally down for a Mania 2 as long as they stop it with the old levels
They already announced that they are working on a new, unannounced Sonic game.
I would be totally down for old levels as long as Quartz Quadrant is one of them
Quick, what's the best Sonic game ever? Every person that answers SA2 is officialy my nigs
I'll only accept returning zones if they do cool shit like this with the graphics
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Stay mad kike.
What happened to Sonic Studio? Did it finally get a C&D?
Sonic Heroes.
>Did it finally get a C&D?
When has Sega ever sent a C&D to a Sonic fan project.
>SEGA
>C&Ding Sonic fangames
Nah, just on the backburner like most fan projects tend to be.
Sorry but it's still 3&K unfortunately
Though I find myself playing 2 more frequently these days.
Last time I tried to play through SA2 I honestly got frustrated with the controls a lot, might be a PC thing though since I'm so used to the gamecube controller for that game, but I swear the steam version feels a lot more jank. Maybe I should check if my old disc still works.
If it did we'd know by now. It's likely they are finalizing the project for this years SAGE or Evening Star Team hired him for their next Sonic Mania project
Mania. Best 3D Sonic I'd either give to SA1 or Generations.
>spoilering a completely uncontroversial opinion
Why?
>or Evening Star Team hired him for their next Sonic Mania project
Makes sense. It reminds me of when Stealth officially cancelled Sonic Megamix just to focus on Mania
Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if the sudden silence on Studio is because the guy got hired, either to update the visuals on Mania 2 or actually release Studio as an official product
Sonic CD. Best Sonic, best aesthetic, best music and the only one which makes you feel like Sonic.
>either to update the visuals on Mania 2 or actually release Studio as an official product
Either one would be perfection.
The original Sonic the Hedgehog
You misspelled Ice Cap Zone
Shadow the Hedgehog
How many routes
I'd love a reimagined Mystic Cave to be honest.
Nooooooooooo
Unleashed
I'd wanna see Some of the handheld titles get some love. If Mania 2 DOESN'T end with Chaos Angel, that's a fucking shame.
Sonic Mania Plus for classic
Sa1 for dreamcast era
Sonic gens for modern
Sonic rush for handheld
(This isn't one game ik but I suck at picking favorites so shut up)
I was a fan of Sonic growing up. I just had the genesis games, SA2 and SA3. I can tell you this for sure:
The shitty fanbase will guarantee that Sonic will thrive no matter how garbage the games will be. Sonic should have died off during the 2000's but you will find those who want a Shadow The Hedgehog sequel and some wish they could be Princess Ellise from 06. Ever notice the fanbase is displeased with a lot of Sonic games? They still buy the games so in a sense, they encourage the release of future shit tier Sonic titles.
>1 Route Zone
Eh, no thanks
My Nigga.
God i wish i was Elise
