>tons of cool gadgets, powers and ways to complete objectives
>never get to see like 90% of them because I can't force myself not to just ghost through every level, which the game even promotes heavily
It feels like this game should be right up my alley but I only feel bad playing it
Tons of cool gadgets, powers and ways to complete objectives

dishonored 1 was better
I agree. I thought 2 was pretty solid, but I liked the setting and plot in 1 more.
Just play Lethal + Stealth
Pacifist stealth is boring
If I ever get into a fight with more than 1 person I'll run, and for the most part I'll be trying to stay out of peoples sightlines and try to sneak past, but I'll still kill people in my way instead of waiting 5 minutes for their patrol to pass
Allows me to use majority of the gadgets and abilities except for loud shit like grenades or pistols while still maintaining stealth
I always played pacifist to challenge myself, also just because the rats were annoying. I might replay it lethal some day to see how that's like though.
Emily's powers are great for stealth I did a no kill run and only got seen during the final boss fight
1 had the best plot, but 2 got a fucking strong level design
>ut I liked the setting
meh i hated the dirty setting in 1, i prefer more exotic locations in 2, sorta like hitman. I barely remember locations in the first game.
Playing lethal changes the whole tone of the games you get different dialog from people and there's more rats/bloodflies/weepers in the levels
Funny, I don't remember a single location from 2 except for the villa
It's just up to which sort of locale you prefer in the end
I feel like non-lethal only suits Emily, which is ironic since she has the better lethal powers
It doesn't fit to play non-lethal as Corvo because he's very much supposed to be a Venom Snake tier character that's lost everything, and now he's just buttmad and wants his daughter back and won't be stopped by anyone
Without complaining about "Muh womyn" shit, are this and Death of The Outsider worth?
I absolutely loved Dishonored 1.
Emily low chaos then corvo high chaos is the correct way to play
Yeah, it's sort of apples and oranges. I liked the way Dunwall was so dirty and shitty, it kind of gave the game a darker or grittier feel. Not that 2's setting wasn't good though. Especially the villa level in 2, that was my favorite level in the game.
Corvo canonically didn't kill that many people in Dishonored 1 in his prime only a few, now he's old so he'd probably avoid combat even more.
It's pretty much the first game with even more options
If you loved the first game you can't really go wrong with the second
>not going full mad empress
Half her fucking military just bent over backwards to assist the blatant coup, her going non-lethal is incredibly silly.
They play extremely similarly, so if you liked 1 I don't see any reason you wouldn't like 2.
Dishonored 2 has some of the best level design in any game, almost as good as Thief 2. I love how it's so vertical Too bad the story is pants on head retarded.
My first playthrough was pacifist ghost Emily and it went about as I expected. Overall, still fun.
My second playthrough was pacifist assault Corvo. Which was practically stomping and sprinting around like a madman, breaking bottles in guards faces, slide kicking balls, drop punching guards and choke throwing left and right. Putting stun mines on top of bottles and throwing them at groups, using all my howling, stinging and sleep darts with not a single care for conserving them. It was a massive blast.
Thanks. And what about the other, Death of The Outsider? I fucking loved Daud and his DLCs in 1.
If you liked 1 then sure, but DotO has more problems than just having the MC be a mook from the DLC.
Clearly you didn't even try to follow the story. Emily feels like she's been a shit empress, and she and corvo are being framed for murders. Going lethal just confirms to the public that they're murderers who were eliminating all who voiced an opinion against the throne, and is the silly option.
2 feels like a direct sequel it's definitely worth playing if you liked the first, you should pick Emily first it feels like they intended her to be the main main character.
It takes a steaming dump on what few plot elements remained interesting but gameplay wise is solid.
>I fucking loved Daud and his DLCs in 1.
oh boy
Daud's DLC basically meant nothing in 2 as the witch is the main antagonist with no explanation of how she escaped the ending of Daud's DLC, and in Outsider he's a washed up old fuck that doesn't give a shit about the outsider anymore for the sake of the plot.
Daud delayed her long enough for Corvo to train Emily how to fight for 15 years, she was gonna possess loli Emily it would've been worse.
