What are the best legal stages for Link?

Why does he make Yea Forumseddit seethe? He's not even that good.

He's not that great, but a pain in the ass to fight.

Every time I look at him I'm reminded of Smash 4 Sonic mains, who would typically camp and time out people.

Hes doing moderately ok in Tourneys
Not as free anymore, same annoying B spam formula but with less of a guarantee of aerials connecting

any tips for wolf?, i've got better at ledge guarding by catching getups with nair or hitting them with ftilt before they snap but i never go off stage

every time i try to dair someone i end up going to the bottom, or find it difficult to return to the stage or im immediately punished

characters like isabelle or duck hunt dog always push my shit in for some reason

how can i counter it?, i still get watered and fsmashed while getting up on the ledges

How do you get up off the ledge? You can hit shield and roll forward.

if i roll he rolls back and catches my roll, if i jump i get stuck on the flames

It takes a minute to throw the Water. Are you shielding after you get up?

I stopped playing as Kirby because Roy would always btfo me. I'm happy with my new Simon main, but would like to know how to beat bunga spammers (roy in particular) with kirbs.

think my issue is more with the timing, they throw it as soon as i catch the ledge, if i wait too much i would start to get burned while hanging, forcing me to get up quicker than i would, will try getup and shield and hoping he doesnt grab me

i play ridley btw, having a hard time in general with everyone

I have only fought like two since the game came out.

People who play him just spam his specials. They’re surprisingly good at making sonic dodge attacks though. He’s really fucking hard to hit.

I’ve only fought one and it was an absolute nightmare to fight. Got three stocked. Granted, I was only using my secondary (K. Rool)

Since this is the designated Smash Ult thread, let's ask a simple question: If Sakurai got the roster up to 100 total characters including echo fighters and that was the end of it for new characters for good, would you be fine with that?

Only if Midna, Waluigi, and Octolings made it in.

Don't go for dairs offstage unless you can confirm into it with nair. Bair, nair, and fair are all better offstage for kills. I like nair because it lasts long and usually beats out hitboxes.

I say for Duck Hunt snd Isabelle, you can't outprojectile them, just use a lot of reflector. You can walk up to isabelle's rocket mine and use reflector and it won't hit you, same with a lot of duck hunt dog projectiles. Play it more passive, even though wolf is best when approaching, just wait for them to fuck up first.

Chrom > Roy in almost every facet imo

So does Roy, his recovery isn't that much better and the characters that can seriously edgeguard Chrom do it to Roy too. I'd much rather have a slightly worse recovery in exchange for the range Chrom has. Plus upB is also a really good attacking move

This is mostly carrying over from Smash 4 where I have 10,000 K.Os on my system with WFT, but most match ups are feeling the same in Ultimate so far so I'm comfortable making this

this is just my experience online, not every match up on this chart in her favor represents the match up at the highest levels of play.....

I have fights with my brother constantly with him maining wolf among other things and the one thing this mother fucker has been constantly doing is always hitting that fucking side b sweet spot and it's been pissing me off

Up tilt is a good kill move and will combo from down throw

no need to include clones, MUs will be the same

bayo's just good in general, all the comboing nobody else has, the bullshit counter, I think her chart placement is mostly just PTSD from smash 4,
specifically in this MU I mostly can't edge hog (very important), her aerials are better than WFTs which fucks her over/keeps her out, and all the comboing

Diddy was already fixed in Smash 4
