Quests in Cyberpunk 2077 will be 3-5 times more complex than in Witcher 3

Ready for GOAT?

>According to a podcast with German magazine Gamestar, the quests in Cyberpunk 2077 will be 3-5 times more complex than in Witcher 3 (as mentioned by CDPR's Philip Weber).

>Lead Quest Designer Philip Weber and Level-Designer Miles Tost participated in the podcast and mentioned a quest where the player had to drop the guns. Different scenarios after giving away the gun have been designed but then somebody mentioned that the player could also insist not to drop the gun. Thus, the whole quest needed to be worked on again.

>In Cyberpunk 2077 your options in quests are meant to be logical and rational in regards to the game's story.

>They also said that the overall quality of quests will be better, because the organisation of the team got improved. E.g. the use of the witcher sense in Witcher 3 was a central element in quests, too often. While a single quest designer might not have seen this, the player noticed that in the end, seeing all quests together.

Not saying the game won't be fun, but this is standard marketing and has been seen countless of times

I'm hyped as fuck lads

>Ready for GOAT?
not really
we'll wait and we'll see and most definitely stay off Yea Forums t avoid spoilers

Well they acknowledged that maybe having toucan sam vision in every quest is not the greatest idea, which is promising.

they said the same thing about TW3 mate

youtube.com/watch?v=OLEiqkxM9TU

CDPR are just slav kikes, they aren't the same bro tier company they were.

I'll believe it when I see it. I've been burned too many times by too many game developers. I honestly don't even want to hear about a game until it releases, cause all I will think about is all the shit they said was possible, not being possible in the game.

>Witcher 3
>every quest is follow red line then pick all the way from A to B

So complex. The game was ass. You remember the chapter 2 from Witcher 1? Now that was a quest *sips

>*whistles for magic horse*
>autoruns on road to quest marker
>*toucan sam vision activates*
>"Mhmm....giant slash marks all over the victim....a Drowner™, gotta be"
>"Come on, Roach"
>*follows nose*
>guys in Drowner™ costumes appear
>"OY BLOODY 'ELL FUCKING CUNT SHIT FUCK CUNT, IT'S A FUCKIN' WITCHER IT IS! GET "EM"
>"Shit you stink" ALALALALALALALALA *sets guys on fire and they stumble and recover immediately, does a cinematic slash and cuts guys in half"
>"Mhmm....Bandits™ pretending to be Drowners™......better tell the village head about this"
>"Come on, Roach"
>*autoruns on road back to village*
>"OY BLOODY FUCK CUNT WITCHAH, WOT ABOUT DA CONTRACT WESE PAIDS YA FOR YA BLOODY FUCKING CUNT?"
>"Just some bastards posing as Drowners™, here's proof *shows flipper*"
>"OY KURWA, HERE'S YA REWARD DA WHOLE VILLAGE CHIPPED IN"
>"Drowning in Danger" Complete AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>10 crowns received

how do you quantify complexity

>3 x 0 = 0
>5 x 0 = 0
Wow thanks so much CDPR.

you mean 50 interlocking fetch quests in vizima slums and an endless trek through the fucking swamps where wearing the red ribbon won't save you from automatically entering combat state and fucking with your movement?

Why are all these eastern European devs always giving exclusive interviews and gameplay to German magazines when the actual audience for them is in the US? Are they retarded? It's like they want us to just gobble up the leftovers like dumb paypiggies.

Quests have a certain amount of possible branches, dialogue choices, choices in how to approach them gameplay wise, right? Take those amount of choices and multiply.

>implying quests in w3 were complex at all.
CDPR is shit. Only good thing that came out of it is gog

Because most of American gaming "journalists" are discord trannies that would just pester the developers about if they can self-insert as a tranny in the game.

amusing post, well done, HOWEVER

Poland and Germany are central european neighbors. You won't get an interview without asking and without traveling/covering the logistics and expenses of travel. You are looking for a problem where there isn't one. Also Germany is the biggest EU market and economy.

*2029

>he doesn't know

Know what? KNOW WHAT?

>tfw "journalists" from your country also did this

We also saved Poland in WWII while Germany invaded them, ungrateful fucks

Theres a CDPR report to investors that claims they will release 2 AAA games before 2021. Plus it was already mentioned a couple of times that the game is pretty much done content-wise and all they do now is playtesting. So people speculate it will come out sooner than we think

Levels of complexity in TW3
>follow the footsteps
>hmmm. horse demons. Gotta be

>We also saved Poland in WWII
>gave them to communists
you didnt save anything east of germany, except your anglo rats and kikes

Not him but I think they will go for a 2020 release because of you know, Cyberpunk 2020.

american education

ah yeah i bet the poles are extremely happy that you switched their occupant from european one to an asiatic one.

They literally didn't say that about Witcher 3 because they literally acknowledged the flaws of Witcher vision. Nigher it's two paragraphs, read.

How do you quantify complexity?

LOL
You saved no one. You just entered the war when Germany had already depleted most its resources against the russian zerg and helping useless italians.
Also brits just sacrificed every ally as canonfolder while playing the good guys without taking any risk in their autistic, and now muslim, island.

more than 1 way to do and complete

stfu nazi-lover

You know this game is going to go full Joi pandering, right?

Imagine having another Bloody Baron quest or that stupid hilarious frying pan quest.

Sounds good.

>witcher 3
>complex quests

It's a fundamental problem of AAA game design. It cannot be fixed except through sheer manpower, manpower CD Project doesn't have. They're not gonna spend several more years just to add in more options, it's gonna be basic shit that AAA has always don like
>YOU CAN KILL EVERYONE WITH GUNS
>OR ACTIVATE THE TURRETS THAT DOES IT FOR YOU
Wow so many options... Nigga please

I have a feeling it'll turn out alright.

Attached: night city 4.jpg (1080x1564, 995K)

This ad makes me rock hard. Dam whoever designed this should be making actual ads.

Jerk off instruction pandering?
Okay, cool.

WHO /traumateam/ HERE?

I expect this means you'll have multiple entries to a mission combat area. Which is cool, urban assault through the windows? Sure, if you don't have CYBORG ARMS! to punch a wall down. Or you could just use the door like a normal person. They already showed you could negotiate a little with the chromed-up aug junkies, maybe you'll have a bribe/coerce/negotiate diplomatic avenues.

That's not saying much desu

Attached: 1552408767585.jpg (640x480, 51K)

Hell yeah.

do we have any release date by now ?

when it's ready™

Q4 2019 - Q1 2020 is a relatively safe bet

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they will allow us to date some pleasure models, and maybe even a hologram waifu.

Just after Star Citizen

Apparently Star Citizen, Mountain Blade, Cyberpunk and Half Life 3 are all coming in the same month.

now that sekiro disspointed the shit out of me....cyberpunk is hero we need

I am. So how about you give up GOG preorders already?

Will there be swords in the game? I just can't see myself wielding a g*n, a weapon that requires zero skill.

Britain inflicted the first defeats on the Axis armies, destroying the Italian Navy in one night, obliterating Germany's airforce and defeating Germany in North Africa to secure the world's oil supply.

I'll wait and see if this complexity means distinct branching paths that align with your choices with consequences, or just window dressing that ends with you down the same exit anyways.

Previewers said there is a katana that emits a forcefield that repels bullets, and there's things like the Mantis blade arms. You can be a street samurai.

Probably.
They were some in the tabletop.

>Q4 2019 - Q1 2020 is a relatively safe bet
Lmao. Few months ago they said game is far from being done. Expect it to be a next gen release

this will put rdr2 in a coffin

Just a nuDeus Ex with a decentralized character and visuals that don't look like inconsistent ass with a bit less grimdark. Can't see it failing, or even being remotely bad in any way, unless it's beyond broken at release.

Anyone have that interview where the devs of Cyberpunk were questioned extensively about non-binary character customization options instead of about the game itself?
I can just image the lights slowly dying in their eyes as a games 'journalist' grills them about all that stupid shit.

What are the chances it's coming in November 2019, the same period the original film takes place in?

And a few months before that they said it's playable from start to finish.

Original Blade Runner film*

>It cannot be fixed except through sheer manpower
Rockstar proced otherwise

The more choices you put into a game the higher the cost and the potential for bugs.
And god help you if you want those choices to have significant and far-reaching ramifications.

>manpower CD Project doesn't have
I dunno man. They've been acquiring studios left and right and have around 400 staffers, not even including freelancers and contract workers. CDPR aren't a small to medium-sized studio anymore.

Attached: modern gaming journalism.png (702x678, 80K)

Does anyone else find this concerning?
I'm afraid that what mad CD Projekt unique might become diluted under the usual assortment of suits and idiots.

Cringe

The outdated mission designs says otherwise

Attached: wjdn.gif (250x251, 998K)

Glad to know they're asking the pressing questions on everyones' minds

Attached: 1480921569210.png (522x590, 138K)

That Journo is like a little kid

No more than three. Because they said more complex than Witcher 3. Or maybe just more unique.

Pic related is the interviewer btw, lmao.

>yeah

>what an alpha

>Quests in Cyberpunk 2077 will be 3-5 times more complex than in Witcher 3
That's not saying much.

For a side quest it is

What the hell is wrong with white boys these days?

Why? Why do they all make that face when they are photographed?

Not really.

Yea really. Burden of Proof is on you.

Nobody since you can't join them.

I was so hyped when I saw that Traumateam
I miss playing pnp rpgs

Hopefully they'll have a notable presence in the game. They could be used in many fun ways as twists in the story.

Attached: trauma team screenshot.jpg (1920x1080, 363K)

>It's like they want us to just gobble up the leftovers like dumb paypiggies.
Sounds like an accurate portrayal of Americans.
Also there's the fact that only Germany, Poland and to a lesser degree other eastern euros have an appreciation for Gothic

Imagine being able to get a chip so they would help you if you get downed.

Attached: file.png (2518x1024, 513K)

Bethesda's dev team is literally smaller than CDPR's

villagers would've paid him half if he told them it was people not drowners

I expect cp77 to be a refinement on the Witcher 3 rpg formula.
In W3 you had a quest where you could hand over your sword or insist you keep it.
If you let the elfs have it and didn't agree to their way you had to fight them bare hands+sighns or you could grab a sword from the environment (if you saw it).
That is old hat for them, but I support reusing the idea.

Aren't the chips reserved for high-end corporates? I think they said that the TT won't be a gameplay element for the player.

It's more of a matter of having the money to afford them I think.

Problem is that the trans genders in 2020 are emotionless barbie dolls called androgynes, and they only really exist in Europe
reeeeeeeeee, just keep this shit to headcanon

>Yea Forums bitches constantly about Witcher sense
>cdpr admits it was used way too much
