This, if I remember correctly you just make alliances with other dudes to trade and sometimes they give you missions to help them or you just destroy them. And there are those assholes you can't become friend with that you have to destroy but their mother base is at the center of the galaxy and the closer you get to it the harder it becomes to travel so you have to upgrade your spaceship and shit and it's a huge drag.

The whole stage is pointless once you get past the grox.Its a novelty stage that has not enought customization and only has boring things besides the lore.
