It's not like it's a super underground game, even before the stream. If someone liked EarthBound (which plenty of people did according to the ratings on the Wii U) they would be more than capable of googling "EarthBound sequel" and finding one of the pre-patched roms.

Nintendo isn't going to rerelease Mother 3. Get the rom file, get the patch, get visual boy advance for your phone (it is literally a free app) and play it there. If you're too much of a pussbag to do even that then you don't deserve to enjoy Mother 3. Go watch Vinny play it.

Playing it now, but I think it's not as good as EarthBound. Already up to Chapter 4 and it feels like a disconnected series of vignettes with no grander goal or world exploration. It's like every chapter seems like a preview to the actual game, but it really isn't.

Physical bootleg is extra comfy. I'm sad my first playthrough was on a phone emulator because it made it virtually impossible to hit those juicy rhythm combos. Anyone who hasn't played and owns a DS/GBA, I recommend picking up a cartridge from ali/ebay. Mine cost less than £5.
