For those not in the now Chunni or Chunnibyo is basically acting extremely immature for your age through most use it to mock those teenagers who still pretend like they have super powers or think they're deep and special because they understand some negative qualities in the world at large. I guess you could say it's a bit like what people call those who are "woke" or SJWs now a days only rather than super powers its more on the political side.

See, with Devil May Cry the chunni is it's protagonists being old men who still behave like brats in high school, namely Dante and Vergil with their immaturity and petty as fuck squabbles. V and Nero are the same way as are Lady, Nico and Trish. Nero is in his 20s in V yet still swears like an edgy 15 year old who just learned to cuss and likes to make quips such as "Who brought the marshmallows, cuz I'm bringing the fire" and in Lady's case she's still acting like her teenaged self despite rapidly approaching 40.

Yes, chunni can mean lots of things not just believing you have superpowers or pretending you do, harem anime, moe anime, all that stuff if you are above a certain age watching it you're a chunni by definition of the word
