Every Mario character has a generic trope that defines their character and nothing else. They are as dry as a Popeyes’ biscuit. The only reason we find them as entertaining is because of the spinoffs where the developers have as much fun as possible doing whatever the fuck they want with the characters. Mario is the only series where the spinoffs have more lore and characterization than the fucking main series
