thankfully it only part where they do ladders, but actually not hard at all as simply don't hold the up button, press up as soon as the model touch the ladder, you can practice in the water room.

That's how I did it.
Hours later I found out that you can grab ladders with the jump button.

yep, you let go of pad when you jamp to next ladder as soon the model is on the ladder, jason will grab if you tap up, you can just use the water room to get a hang of it.

Just kill all the enemies and it won't heal, because it's using the enemies themselves to heal. Sorry if you already beat the boss by now user but hopefully this helps to know.

This shit's a modern day take on the barrel part in Sonic 3, it's unnecessarily hard as all hell until you figure out the unintuitive means by which you're supposed to do it. Why the game insists on doing this without ever stating that pressing jump grabs ladders is beyond me but it's cruel and unusual punishment.
