It's a good game but it's no Bloodborne or Dark Souls.

No BB but better than Dork Souls.

yeah a solid 8/10.
also I sen't the black dude samurai down to the pit and the doctor performed a lobotomy on him? Did I fuck up?

What is the trick to Blazing Bull? Does the game seriously expect me to just hit and run for like two hours while never getting fucked over by the camera or bad RNG? The fireworks barely do anything.

Attached: more like blazing bullshit.jpg (1920x1080, 362K)

DeS is better in every way

Attached: giphy.gif (636x347, 3.79M)

you're supposed to hit and run for two hours apparently, since they decided to have bosses that don't use the main mechanic of the game without any way to compensate.

Leave Gehrman to me.

Attached: g.jpg (1920x1080, 322K)

There is absolutely no way this game is pretty enough to justify being 30 FPS on PS4 Pro. Hell, it's not even a stable 30 FPS. DaS3 runs a solid 60 FPS on my mid-tier PC with GTX 1070.

The firecrackers stun it, allowing you to get in 3-5 hit for free.

Parry his charges

I don't see how Ghost of Shitsushi is gonna compete with Sekiro, seeing as how it has such gameplay like the stealth multi-takedown from Arkham knight.

so

Attached: 9.png (528x587, 361K)

I don't think I like it. Generic enemies are trivial, but bosses take a fucking lifetime of repetitive parrying to EVENTUALLY get posture broken. That's not fun, it's repetitive and dull.

just hit him in the ass dude, it's literally the same boss fight as that early dog boss one in ds3. from is the laziest devs that just scheme their stupid gaijin fanbase it's fucking laughable.

based and fps pilled

>Consoles
People never learn kek.
Five year old rig, no problems with the game maxed out with a rock solid 60fps.

Who is the armored dude from Taro Troop the guys on the bridge in Ashina Reservoir were talking about? I thought it might have been the Seven Spears guy at the tower where you rescue the kid at the beginning because you get the spear prosthetic that removes armor right before him, but I'm not sure now because the spear did nothing to him.

Attached: 1483128354796s.jpg (125x105, 3K)

how the fuck do I use the kite in the monks level? I got the tip from the old lady to use it but the little faggot says it's mind tricks

I'm just here to remind you all that the average Yea Forums user is below the level of an IGN reviewer

TO THOSE WHO HAVE GOTTEN THROUGH THE GAME

Pre-launch they said "Dying" causes Dragon rot

I just got into the point in the story where they say Resurrection causes Dragonrot.

So is it not actually dying, after all?

Attached: 1463307895394.png (222x372, 45K)

Am I not supposed to do something here yet? Its Sunken Valley Cavern, so I assume I have to teleport to the actual Sunken Valley idols and go that way rather than the path from Mt Kongo?
If you have the Puppeteer ninjutsu, deathblow the small dude next to the crank and puppet his ass

Attached: 814380_20190322202511_1.png (1920x1080, 2.28M)

>It's a good game but it's no Bloodborne or Dark Souls.
no shit it's Sekiro. People need to stop reply to treat them as the same when they really aren't

I LIKED BLOODBORNE, ACE COMBAT 7 AND BURNOUT 3.

WILL I FUCKING LIKE SEKIRO? I’M DEBATING WHETHER OR NOT TO PICK IT UP TONIGHT.

>farming money to get 3k sen for the upgraded shuriken
>have 2950 sen, already died once, just need to kill last mob
>outright die
>unseen aid doesn't trigger
>get dragonrot for the first time
on a side note after my rage I went on to finally kill the Shinobi Hunter then first try Drunk Tubby.
Since then I've calmed down alot but now I have to kill grandma tits.
tommorrow will be fun...
soulsbros pray for me, I want to git gud asap and hit my stride

Attached: just a bit...jpg (242x400, 65K)

just charge full speed to your left (his right flank) get a hit or two in, rinse and repeat. sometimes he'll end up in a corner and you can dance around him.

yes it's fucking retarded. i'm going to bed soon and in the morning i'm playing nioh.

It feels too short, honestly. I also feel like parrying is too easy and that bosses rely on it too much. Regardless, I had fun. Can't wait for Nioh 2 and Code Vein

IMPORTANT QUESTION
Estate miniboss (the one that you fight with some other samurai, big fat dude) takes about 20 deflects to break the stance or 50 hits or so to drain one of his hp bars to deathblow. Is this the same for everyone?
I'm starting to suspect that im either missing something big in game mechanics or this might be some obscure pirate protection (im playing pirated version).
This sponge level is just kinda insane. Even if he would be standing still it would still take me i guess about 2 minutes to r1 him to death, what the actual fuck? Isn't it MINIboss?
Please, answer how spongy are minibosses to you and if you are playing legit or pirated version.

ffs please tell me I can buy divine confetti off some merchant somewhere and I'm not stuck farming this shit just to kill a couple bosses?

MY NAME
IS GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA

FUCKKKK LADY BUTTERFLY
OH MY FUCKING GOD
WHAT A FUCKING TERRIBLE BOSS
I'VE TRIED DEFLECTING HER ATTACKS, DODGING, SHURIKENS, AND KEEPING THE PRESSURE ON
NOTHING THE GAME TAUGHT ME WORKED
I DIED LIKE 60 TIMES
BUT YOU WHAT WHAT DID???
DODGE > R1 X1000

YEP
I JUST REPEATEDLY DASHED INTO AN R1 AND IT STAGGERED HER EVERYTIME
I STUNNED LOCKED HER TO DEATH BECAUSE HER SHITYY AI WON'T DEFLECT A DASH ATTACK
SHE COULDN'T EVEN SUMMON ILLUSIONS
GOOD FUCKING GAME MIYAZAKI

Attached: suffering.jpg (1116x658, 55K)

>deathblow the small dude next to the crank and puppet his ass

NICE, I was about to use the fan on him since she said "wind the puppet" and they look like puppets lmao

Protip for sekirobabs: buy the spirit emblem upgrades. Youll appreciate it later

Mikiri the charged kicks, jump kick the swipes, learn his moveset, deflect everything.

It's both, because even when you proper fucking die, you technically get resurrected.

It's poorly worded, poorly explained, basically every time you die, even if you "revive" with your die twice thing, the rot gets worse.

Welcome to hell.

I agree that Sekiro isn't as hard as many people seem to think. But the observation "Dark Souls is easier than Sekiro" and "Sekiro's difficulty is overstated" don't contradict each other.

It seems like a complete blunder for a review to state that Sekiro's difficulty is lower than Soul's difficulty. To me that shit sounds awfully like "played through the prologue one-shotting a bunch of enemies and stealth-killing them and back when I played Dark Souls I had trouble with the more tankier enemies and traps" than "I'm so good at Souls and Sekiro that I can judge which game is easier". Probably anyone with any decent experience and skill in Soulborne games can tell that Sekiro isn't anywhere near the lower end of Soulsborne difficulty.

Absolute fucking dogshit game. Oh you pressed L1 at the wrong time GG have fun clearing all the enemies again because the heal mechanic is gimped as fuck.

Is it a money thing or an enjoyment thing?
If it's money then jst wait, if you're worried about whether or not you'd like it you'd have to play it yourself.
Maybe go to a friends house or Best Buy to play a demo and see or just fucking get it

Attached: hey wojak, I'm pepe.jpg (800x884, 103K)

No Dark souls but better than buttborne

DS1 > BB = Sekiro > DS3 > DeS > DS2

So is it better to just bite the bullet and die? To save... DYING TWICE?

Where can you buy upgraded shuriken for that much? is it an upgrade or from a store?

you should have played it legit, it's pretty fun

i also agree that a better game wouldn't allow that in the first place but whatever

Is it possible to beat Genichiro Ashina on the first try?

Just come back after you get an attack power upgrade. You're supposed to go through Ashina Outskirts before the Estate

Here's the thing, running away from the bull will not help you win. Dodging just makes you not get hit, deflecting at the right time actually does posture damage and you need to do that to end the fight fast.

So deflect his charges for posture damage, use the firecracker when he stops and even the upgraded firecracker if you have it at that point and its a better experience

shit taste

Bosses seem to have as much health as minibosses, not significantly more. Bosses just have wider movesets

I went to the valley to find those Snap Seeds but I couldn't find anymore.

I wasted a couple of them so it feels bad, since I basically can't attempt the boss anymore.

Attached: 1464559424025.jpg (359x271, 26K)

>get to the corrupted monk
>he spins to win me to death instantly
great

It's from the merchant by the Outskirts Castle wall. Near the ogre idol

How do I get to the dragon?

This game makes me want BB2 even harder

Thanks Ill go search that out.

You have to give the vendor 50 sen, then another 100 for info and he'll get his store up and running.
It's right before the flame ogre area, just look behind and you'll see him

OHOHO, STILL ALIVE, ARE YOU?
I’LL KILL YOU AS MANY TIMES AS IT TAKES

Attached: 2AC22E51-45BB-40A6-91F6-8365B5BE3B07.jpg (275x355, 33K)

but isn't dragonrot like very easy to cure. I mean you just buy that white drop thing and everything is back to normal?

OH NO NO NO

Attached: file.png (1244x675, 1M)

Finished my PT at 22 hours and can say I agree with this. Got frustrating at times because all the stealth takes you out of the action too much in my opinion and it feels like the bosses were made with cheesy strats in mind. All in all it just made me want another real Souls game. I do appreciate From trying something new with the formula but they need to stick with what works.

Attached: 1533871371939.jpg (507x505, 50K)

here is another vendor while you're at it
youtube.com/watch?v=5OaXKLG11KQ

Attached: all smiles.png (1340x1253, 16K)

>watched streamer beat final boss
okay I give
you have to be a literal god to beat this game

You don't need the seeds, just dodge the damn butterflies.by running.

should I be able to fight the one armed shinobi right away or is he meant to come back to later? I've learned his moveset and everything but he is just way too sponge and I'm pretty sure my deflects punish my posture more than it does his.

Snap seeds are a waste on her. When she summons the illusions just run around in circles until she turns them into lights and they crash into the ground / walls and then go back to fighting her.

>or just fucking get it

I’m really hoping for a twist in the game halfway through like what Bloodborne did with the ayy’s and don’t want to get spoiled it probably won’t have it but I’ll probably get it in a few days or so.

This has been my crutch for the beginning of the game. How long until this is useless?

Attached: Sekiro™_ Shadows Die Twice_20190322184615.jpg (3840x2160, 1.46M)

So the impression I'm getting from people here is:
>combat is better than Souls, but pales in comparison to most action games
>stealth is just watered down Tenchu and is kind of shit
>it's challenging, but easy to cheese

Is this an accurate reflection of the game? I'm considering playing it to satisfy a Tenchu fix, but I'm unsure if this games is really the spritual successor to the series it was hyped up to be.

There's those little midgets though.

Do you think From has taken the "le hardcore game dark souls" meme too far with this game ? Honest question, I want opinions

Attached: 1544752470645.jpg (538x563, 76K)

sekiro is better than these shitty games

that's for killing the giant snake, after you steal the entrails from the snake temple in the lower valley he will perch up in the rock formation you see down there, from the plank you jump down in his head and stomp him asylum demon style

I don't know how to feel about this game, it is fantastic but somehow the "only parry" gimmick ends up being even more easy than Dark Souls somehow.
So far i consider Nioh to be a step up in difficulty, but damn it was worth it. can't wait for Ghost of Tsushima

Attached: sekiro2.jpg (300x168, 10K)

>a literal god
Anyone can practice to be a fromsoft game conquerer.
How weak is your own will to think any videogame is impossible?

Attached: Korn.png (250x418, 121K)

>>combat is better than Souls
I disagree, bloodborne has better combat

>but pales in comparison to most action games
holy shit yes

>Centipede Giraffe
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA oh hes dead

That’s not a great strategy if she’s on the ground going at you as well.

Dont engage the illusions and get behijd a pillar to block the fluttybies

Yes, it's just like DaS2 in that it thinks punishing you for dying is okay because lmao git gud haha.

can you reset skill trees?

what skill tree is good to put points in?

>It's a good game but it's no Bloodborne or Dark Souls
Yeah, it's better.

Challenge is fine but Fromsoft's idea of difficulty is often fucked. Excessive tracking, oversized grab hitboxes, enemies randomly superarmoring through your attacks, etc.

Why IGN called this shit easier than Dark Souls? I refuse to believe someone did better than me.

It is not easy to cheese

DS is easier to cheese

It is. She doesn't catch you with anything.

Yeah that fight is a bitch, here's the strat from my kill 30 minutes ago:

Use douse at the beginning. Stay right in front of him.and block his attacks. When you're comfortable with the block timing, parry them instead. Whenever he is not attacking, poke him with an R1.

Reason for all that: If you dodge a lot, he'll never build up enough posture meter. Parrying and hitting him with R1 pokes builds up meter much quicker. Also, dodging is harder and more dangerous than blocking and parrying.

When you're panicking because he's almost dead, use the fire crackers to stun him. This only seems to work once in the fight.

It literally has exactly what you're talking about dummy.
It's a mythical take on the sengoku period, the bloodiest period in Japan's medeval history, I won't ruin it for you but there are maybe 2 big twists in the game plus 3 subplots that are interesting enough to follow

Nah it's better to revive and run back to your not-firelink shrine like a bitch and rest.
It's the most useful and necessary skill in the game outside of the explicit evade moves that make some enemies literally impossible to beat without.

so glad i didn't pay for this dumpster fire. it's still buggy even with the day one patch. i just got sucked back in from my dodge animation and died even though i dodged in the proper window

You cannot grind anything in this game. In souls if you couldn't git gud you could always overlevel until a boss was easier. You can't do shit in this.

I've not beaten the game yet but so far it's better than BB. Dark Souls and Demons Souls are still king.

they played the prologue and that's it
or their review was easy modo

I refuse to believe they finished the game

Okami is still the best game when it comes to bringing traditional Nippon to life.

It does work more than once but it seems like he has an immunity period.

this doesnt feel like a fromsoft game though
shit is crazy

>wahh i can't roll my way out of things anymore

I got one and it only upped my limit by fucking one. Are the other skills for it better? Hesitant to waste points on them now.

I think they need to actually make a hardcore game and stop making these mechanically broken mountains of shit.

Sekiro is the least hardcore game they've made because it's all literally designed around explicitly using a particular evade/ability rather than experimenting.

What part are you having trouble with? It's not as bad as it seems.

Not until late game but it still acts as an extra full heal, possibly up to 3 gourd equivalents early on
once you upgrade your gourd though the vampire heal is just added bonus for viseral kills

I didn't say it was hard retard, it's piss easy, and its boring as shit.

You can still grind for EXP to get skills.
If anything I feel more encouraged to grind in this than I did in Soulsborne.

Theyre higher than one. Regardless you'll have so many itemd that use that currency you'll absolutely want them

Yeah it's better

ok what is the point of deflecting corrupted monks attacks considering their fucking posture goes right back to 0 even at half health

no game is impossible to beat user, and plenty game out there are harder than Sekiro with shittier mechanisms

That and use shurikens when she jumps on her wires and tries to do the dive. It's fun to see her fall off.

The only Souls "fans" having issues with this game are the PvE only retards that think everything can be beaten with R1 spam and rolling.

I've beaten 5 real bosses but I don't really feel like I learned any of them at all. They're all so hard that it won't get any easier if I repeat the game later.

Did any of run into a sound issue in Sekiro? I boot up the game and it's completely silent.

Attached: the fuck am i reading.jpg (417x600, 80K)

>Gael final boss of Sekiro
wtf miyazaki?

>2019
>From still can't figure out borderless

Attached: 1524018529171.png (1024x1024, 91K)

>spam parry
>win

Attached: HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA.png (493x381, 78K)

now it can be beaten with L1 and rolling

Just dont be under her bc you take damage if she falls on you

Tracking and grabs, especially in tandem, really fuck with the combat for me. It feels great when it's clashing swords with the occasional unblockable so long as it's a thrust or a sweep.

>You cannot grind anything in this game. In souls if you couldn't git gud you could always overlevel until a boss was easier. You can't do shit in this.
Literally fucking what?
You can literally grind both XP to unlock skills, cash to buy items, and general consumables.
I am grinding way more in Sekiro than any other Souls game.

So where the fuck am I supposed to go in Senpou Temple?
I've gotten to the very top temple, there's a whole ton of those invincible infected worm monks, and I have no clue where I'm supposed to go. The one skeleton monk told me to go to the "Inner Sanctum" but I have no clue where that is.There's also a door locked from behind and I don't know where I'd even begin to get there. Is there an upstairs, or did I miss a route?

so what the fuck do i do with the sakura thing for more deaths that lady butterfly drops?

youtube.com/watch?v=lYixPE3uBzw

This looks amazing. Best Dragon boss in the series

never spent more than 5 minutes on a boss
are you actually using the tools the game gives you?

Lots of booty blasted Sekiro-cucks in this thread.

I sometimes have that issue if I run the audio through my controller but it's easily fixed if I unplug the cord and plug it in again.

There's an ending that can end the game at like the mid point. I bet they did that one.

try doing that to a spear dude
they're going fuck your shit up

Why is everyone a giant compared to you?

Yeah theyve done what the B team done with DaS2 and made the fights require cheese, have shit hitboxes and timings, put bossses/minibosses in that dont make you use the block system which the game is designed around, the enemies are almost always grouped and the agrroign is shit except for when you actually want to bait them with items. Then you have the shit with 1 heal and 'minor heals' which was another bs thing with ds2. The difference in difficulty between enemies is just like in ds2 where you either 1 hit or have to chip away for 5 years and its not fun.

People are saying 'you have use the cheese shit its the way its intended' sure it may be but it doesnt make it good. the stealth shit isnt even good or rewarding beyond 'oh look I trivialised a fight that takes ages if I actual fought and used the other gaemplay mechanics.

The worst part is you will get fags who will deny this and call you shit when the people making the criticisms have played other souls games and can point out legit flaws but get screams of 'git gud' beyond ironic memeing.

They shouldve just done a dark souls like game (eg BB or DeS) with a japanese setting/mythology theme.

Tldr: it suffers from the worst parts of DaS2 again which is retarded as Id rather get leukaemia than claim that shit is any good.

>That fucking Plot twist

What a blast it was, totally 10/10 game can't wait for Sekiro 2

Attached: 1517665273669.png (1024x768, 727K)

I just beat the big guy on the horse and I’d rather play as him than this sneaky ass faggot ninja
Also why is it so hard to deal with multiple enemies at once AAAAA

Attached: mask.png (679x511, 568K)

It's a mentality thing. You sound like a weakwilled fag.

>Tracking and grabs, especially in tandem, really fuck with the combat for me.
This combined with the inconsistency with your attacks disrupting the enemies attacks has completely ruined it for me.

I am SO fucking sick of vacuum attacks and Sekiro is the worst offender of any Souls game by far.

I'm amazed someone hasn't done an hour long video of nothing but boss related vacuum bullshit yet.

Fucking fix your shit FROM, it's not fucking fun.

why is this allowed?

Attached: balance.jpg (721x535, 283K)

im not saying its impossible
Im just saying you have to be really fucking good which is beyond me. Final boss has 4 healthbars, 4 phases and a fucking gun,, meanwhile Im barely scratching grandma. I'll just stick to my casual souls I guess

Are you fucking kidding me?

>find a fucking poison swamp with slowing and a mini-boss in it that uses a cannon along with just a regular cannon using enemy
>mfw

Attached: 1549938265639.png (1366x768, 780K)

if you're actually using the step dodge then you're a shitter who probably complained about the easy ass ogre

oh no no no I used all my gold and skill points bros

Tried that, it doesn't work. Everything else has sound, even with the game running. Just total silence on the game's part.

that seems pretty strong

Ummm step dodge is the only way to counter thrust attacks

What the FUCK

literally an endgame item

>need to hit things 100 times to win
>2 hits kills you if you're lucky

Wow, such amazing game design

I need to farm Carp scales now

someone please explain Divine Abduction for me

Fuck the fucking Ape boss. What the fuck were they thinking really.
>lol do no damage
>lol get hit for 1/4 of your health each time
>lol non stop attacking
>lol huge range
>lol get posture broken and combo'd
>lol too fast so you can't even get more that 2 hits in before getting smashed
>lol you doing well? Get grabbed for 80% of your health by a huge leaping hitbox
>lol stage 2
>lol constant sweeps
>lol retarded hitbox where you don't get hit if you just stand around, but get hit if you try attacking
>lol Terror instant kill
I've been trying for 2 fucking hours and literally used everything I have and still couldn't get him past 50% of stage 2. I have like 5 attack and hp upgrades but they don't help.

Attached: 1523710369185.jpg (320x320, 29K)

Even IGN is smart enough to shift paradigms when they can see the current strategy isn't working.

So uh, anyone figure out what the fat fuck monk at Senpou Temple means by "spirit away"? Do I need a new Tool or does he really want me to kill him?

you get most of your posture damage by blocking so meh

>you can literally run circles around the drunkard boss while he whiffs all day
I'll say this for Wolf, the motherfucker has amazing cardio.

its clear that they never played the game

Its mandatory that FROM games have at least two bosses that throw out all the mechanics of the game and are just tedious clusterfucks where you are fighting the camera as much as the boss.

thats fucking incredibly holy shit

Attached: knuckle is a big guy.png (1920x1080, 1.33M)

I'm stuck around here too. After getting the Senpou esoteric text there doesn't seem to be any way forward. I keep expecting the Corrupted Monk to show up around every corner, as it seems like a fitting place for it, but so far the closest thing to a boss here was Roberts dad, the armor dude.

Shitty souls game.

Attached: divebomb.webm (1280x720, 2.75M)

Seething snoy

You don't have the firecracker attachment yet?

You fucked up kid. Head on back to the gate path where you fought the samurai general and find the merchant. Thank me later, bucko.

Inspect the bell on the table, dum dumbs

way better with sound

my.mixtape.moe/evyvvh.mp4

This boss pure bullshit because he does damage through your fucking block because its fire. He is in the game so that the people who were breezing through fighting the other bosses hit a wall because of poor boss design.

I'm only a couple hours into the game, but I've already died a fuck ton. Should I be worried about dragon rot? How badly does it fuck up your game if you die too much? It's pretty much the only thing keeping me from really enjoying the game.

sprint is good and much more worthwhile than the shitty dodge

Can anyone help, im stuck at 20 fps and ive tried all the solutions dealing with dual monitors etc but nothings working. Im going crazy here

Where do I find the axe arm?
In trying to beat Jizo the drunkard, but the fuckers with shields are in the way.

That got me too

it's most certainly a rig issue, we can't help you if the hardware is old or outdated

In the memory.

>literal GoW gimmick boss
Did the C team design this game?

Attached: 1531533510697.png (490x380, 129K)

In a temple before entering the burning area. You can eavesdrop on some guy lecturing another about not messing with Buddha in front of it.

This is going to be my first “wait until it goes on sale” from this developer.

Remember the samurai that told you to get the axe. It's literally across from him behind the wall.

Fire crackers and hit the log for max posture damage
I found him easier than the chained ogre and crazy horse man

KILLER MONKEYS

Are there any consequences for bringing the samurai to the abandoned dungeon?

>jump down to the hole where the game started
>suddenly in a fight with Crowsteel 2.0 that I can't get out of
getting sick of these "surprise" boss fights

I feel bad for not doing that. Unfun ass game.

it's in a shrine pretty close to the second sculptor's idol in the Hirata Estate memory. I had trouble finding it too, as you have to open the door to the shrine, easy to miss.

which table?

I play DS3 with no issues and they both have the same min requirements I believe. So I have no idea man, could be my rig but everything else is running fine

I'm wondering the same thing

Attached: as diamonds.png (414x370, 47K)

How long did it take you to beat?

MY NAME

is this the new dark souls

The should be a table in front of the big statue in front of the idol, where all the invincible monks.

Better than Dark Souls, not nearly as good as Bloodborne.

>Corrupted monk has unblockable attacks that don't make the unblockable sign appear
what a load of fucking bullshit

Someone had a webm of the Ghost doing an aerial takedown and then time freezing and getting to jump from target to target, literally exactly like Batman. Ever since I saw that, the illusion that Ghost of Tsushima was gonna be something unique was completely broken for me.

>Better than Dark Souls
In what fucking realm of existence?

The one thing that makes me really dislike the game is the OST. I know some people dont care about the soundtrack in video games or think its not as important as graphics/gameplay but I think it counts as a major component. The OST is just so bland. Am I going crazy or is the same song used for every single boss fight? They all sound the same. At least DS3 had unique tracks and Nioh's OST was stellar.

I wonder if anyone has this feel...

Attached: 1533247353736.png (1256x689, 551K)

this one

gameplay is solid but I feel like I might regret spending $60 because it seems short as fuck, with not really any replay value other than the combat.

as the one-armed breakdancing ninja wasn't hard enough, the camera went bonkers in that tiny area. I kinda expect better than that by From Software.

For the next year yeah, atleast until bloodbourne 2 or the next soulslike game is annouced
this game has very low replayablality compared to previous titles however
you're looking at 40-80hrs of possible ply depending on your skill level, maybe 60-100+ to get every acheivement

Is the memory from the old lady totally optional? Are there going to be others?

the OST sounds like every single souls game I’ve played. Honestly none sticks out to me except for the final boss fights ost

post a video or webm before you start making such grand claims like that

someone in here will be glad to make any game look bad, that's the Yea Forums way

Ogre only killed me once. Horse guy downed me once. Bull killed me three times.

So is this combining the 7 shard mask and the 5000 gold mask? Time to sell some items

In NG+ you get to keep your skills so you can max out every skill tree on the subsquent endings plus enemies gain new movesets
there is replay value, just no where near as much as other soulsbourne titles

He has a move where he sweeps his sword upwards and it can't be blocked even though it doesn't give you the unblockable icon. His sweep however does give the icon (only sometimes?).

bros.......

>bloodbourne
lmao

I am 18 hours in, probably in the last area and here's my ranking for the games.
Sekiro > Dark Souls 3 = Bloodborne > Dark Souls 1 >Dark Souls 2

Pretty sure you need to kill her eventually for her item(s), she's not impossible

Should I lure this samurai into the abandoned dungeon? I've just met him for the second time inside the dungeon so I feel like either way he is doomed.

you should go to the bloodbource threads on /vg/ right now, a god amount think "it's happening" after all the edlrich shit we see in this game and the refernces to it

Where is the 500 gold mask?

>plus enemies gain new movesets
game gains 1 point just because of this, only took them like five games (well, 4.5 games because of Dark Souls 2) to make NG+ actually different.

No, you need a 3rd piece of the mask that costs 12 scales and is found in the final area of the game.

He's at the Mountain area. Shingu something is the portal you want to take and then go up the mountain. You will fight the gnomes dudes. I'm fighting him now, but the spear is doing nothing but getting me killed because like most shit in this game it's too slow. I tried using it as like deathblow after parrying him and it does nothing. Really retarded boss design.

There's at least one other memory where you fight daddy in the same place

>18hours
Somehow, I have a very hard time believing you.

so has anyone tried to see how far dragonrot can go???

FISTFUL

I've been slamming my face against the old lady for the last couple hours and the last message I got was about some boy contracting it. I'm sure by the time I kill this bitch every npc in the game will be dead.

Can we all agree that this game is artificially difficult and From software needs to go bankrupt?

How the fuck do you deal with purple fag ninjas

>IGN thinks Sekiro is easy and Ace Combat is hard
What the fug

5000 gold mask is at the dungeon entrance
Do skill trees carry over? It would be dumb to not get the other trees for hours and hours. NG+ letting you carry over the texts but not the skill points would be fine even

Nah, they just need to spend less time re-hashing the same old shit and more time fixing the fundamental problems.

Vacuum attacks and janky hit boxes need to fuck right off.

>Can we all agree

Attached: b8.png (67x67, 5K)

ittoryu yai

*presses circle*
nothing personel

You can't actually use that kunai until you unlock the prosthetic upgrade system and then you have to farm mats, which require 4 mid-high level iron, 3 occult wax, and 6 low tier iron. Also pay him 1000 zen.

Alright beat it.
Game is easier than demons souls but you have to play like a scumbag and wait out caution periods

On bosses literally mash r1 until you get countered and then press l1

Does anyone have any idea what I'm supposed to do with this fire resin seed? It says I can upgrade the flame vent with it but I don't see any option for it at the sculptor.

Attached: 1529801291629.jpg (2560x1080, 607K)

skill trees carry over yes
theoretically you can max out your Wolf and make him a fucking unstopable killing machine

Attached: WOLF.jpg (346x548, 53K)

The leaf tool says it spirits shit away

You sure that's not the western armor dude? The guy that fights for his son? They are foreigners in japan according to the firecracker item description.. Shinobi deathblow does nothing to his superior caucasian armor.

About 20 or so hours, doing everything. Might do a different run focusing on a different prosthetic.

WHY ARE THE ENEMIES SO FUCKING INCONSISTENT WITH THEIR HITBOXES, FUCK THESE NIGGERS.

trying to dodge enemies is fucking worthless with these retarded hitboxes.

>DaS3 that high
Opinion immediately disregarded.

This is the least artificially difficult From game though. Everything can be countered with an appropriate skill.

The enemy variety is ass.
>samurai dude
>spearman dude
>archer dude

I'm really conflicted, I feel like I want to like this more than i'm actually liking it.

I loved Tenchu, loved Souls, but this just feels like an awkward mix of the two and I spend the whole time wishing the game was just one or the other.

The movement, traversal and stealth really isn't very satisfying at all (also why the fuck doesn't your character stay crouched after backstabs, grapples etc) and the combat is way to defensive.

>trying to dodge
>not spamming L1

Attached: HAHAHHAHAHAH.jpg (179x250, 6K)

What the fuck does train the monkeys mean

>t. hasn't got past Ashina outskirts
What's it like to be a slowpoke?

I tried that shit too, they can't even fucking decide if they wanna stay stun locked or tank your hits. Also fuck the mini bosses. They're somehow more frustrating than the actual fucking bosses.

This alone represents a design flaw. If dodging is pointless then the why bother having it in the game?

>What's it like to be a slowpoke?
Employed.

Because it's better some enemies, retard.

>Be shit at the game and slow moving
>I HAVE A JOB
So do I and guess what? You are slow.

the camera is SO FUCKING STUPID IN THIS GAME

got 100% completion on Bloodborne one hour before I started playing Sekiro. I think that seriously fucked me over, the step dodge does fuck-all in this game.

newfagot that's every soulsbournegame

Like in any other souls games, problem here is that the game is hard so it actually becomes a problem. From is fucking retarded.

Where do I go to get to the boss of senpou temple? I got the main hall shrine but the only path out of there loops back around to the same shrine.

If you are having trouble with a boss, reply to my post with the boss name and I'll tell you exactly how to beat it.

WHERE THE FUCK DO I GO AFTER LEARNING HOW TO DIVE HELP

Attached: 1527390181116.gif (500x500, 1.29M)

Neck yourself, nigger. I know about the retarded cameras from other soulsbourne games. This game takes it to a whole new level of stupid.

There's a total of 4 endings and it looks like the branching path is when Owl returns..

HOW THE FUCK DO I BEAT THE GIANT DRUNKEN FAGGOT, I'VE TRIED LIKE 20 FUCKING TIMES MAN FUCK THIS SHIT

Camera isn't really a problem, the low FoV is. Some enemies are so big that up close you can't see their attacks right until they're about to smack you.

But in those cases the hitboxes are shit and you may as well jump. And since you arent blocking the posture system shit becomes almost pointless and it becomes chip away until you get the same deathblow animation for the 537824673823 time.

I can't get the parry timing for shit. And I fucking hate the red kanji system.
I S ranked MGR on revengeance, so I'm starting to think the gameplay is just shit.

Burger king isn't a real job and I bought the game after wok.

Use the umbrella prosthetic tool, it has more forgiving parry timers. Although it still doesn't stop enemies whose combos aren't stopped by a deflection.

the timing is very lenient though, just do it earlier if unsure

Anyway to restock the shops? You can buy like two of each consumable before they are out, I tried shrine resting and switching area, no dice.

I need two more treasure carp scales. Where the fuck can I find more? Already scoured Hirata.

>the least artificially difficult From game
I was fighting the shinobi hunter, and the one time I'm actually going toe-to-toe with him, he's on his last healthbar, his poise is broken, i'm going in for the deathblow...
Axe nigger rando out of fucking nowhere sodomizes me from offscreen and kills me. I was facing the bridge and didn't see him run across, too. I'm 100% convinced the game fucked me on purpose there

>this game is the worst because it's the most recent in my mind
spoken like a bonafide nigger

Attached: seething.jpg (300x430, 19K)

How many did you find in Hirata?

>Get blown out
>YOU MUST WORK AT BURGER KING
I work in a STEM field faggot. Suck my cock you mongoloid.

I can't beat this mother fucker that chops your hand off in the beginning

Attached: 25e.png (680x677, 451K)

Where should I be going in the monk area? I got the skillbook to learn monk attacks and killed the bullshit fire centipede in the area, but I'm sort of at a loss right now where to go.

You get an item late game that boosts merchant stock.

*ahem*
FUCK SNAKE EYES
FUCK FROM SOFTWARE
and most importantly FUCK MIYAZAKI

>muh wageslave strawman
aah, so you're retarded and slow at games

based good taste user

What kind of backwoods logic is that? Suck Fromsoft's dick more, shill.

Five.

Make sure to make use of jump attacks

The Ashina castle dojo is where the game finally clicked for me, you have to fucking mash block. At first I thought the parry in this was gonna be like DMC, but you just have to mash the button like a mongoloid instead.

>better stealth/parkour game than Ass Creed
>made Souls combat more action-oriented without making it easier or retarded
>actually fun
I was worried at first, but that's some damn good vidyagaem they made

Attached: 1548885536365.png (500x309, 181K)

>I work in a STEM field faggot.
As do I.

So I am supposed to be out of Ashina and Hirata within three hours of starting the game?

I don't think you're meant to, I wanted to see someone beat him on yt but still havent.
It might be hardcoded in the game to lose the fight and your arm

Stealth kill his guards, reset, do it again until none are left. Sneak up behind fatty and deathblow him to take off one bar then run to the friendly NPC and trigger him. Spit roast Fatty until death.

armored western dude. I don't want to fucking cheese him off the bridge, I've had about enough of cheesy shit. How the fuck do you take his armor off, I have the spear and it does nothing.

Welp, you're much better than me. Would you say it's shorter than BB or DS then?

how the fuck is there no nvidia profile for this game yet? is it because it hasnt been marketed much in the west? my second card gets like 10% usage

There are two carps in the Senpou temple after the plated knight miniboss.

So how long is the game lads and where do you rate it in the Soulsborne series?

Agreed. The fact there is only one weapon is really annoying. Also, the lore is shit-tier.

>make stealth game
>majority of encounters cant be stealthed initiated
>assassinated a guy aggros everyone in japan
I thought they wanted to make a tenchu game???

>backwoods logic
I'm asking you that, because the camera angles were awful in Demon Souls and Ds1 before the port
bloodbourne was also fucking shit with that, so for you to say this game is worse is just bandwagon Yea Forumstardation

You HAVE to kick him off the bridge. It's the only way to defeat him. Stand near the walls and allow him to aim attacks, then dodge out of the way so the attack breaks the wall. Maneuver him back near the now broken wall and break his posture (his posture never recovers so you can load it up to near max then once he's in place hit him one or two more times to break), then use execution to knock him off.

It's a not-so-subtle joke that western arms/armor are vastly superior to shitty nipponland crap iron stuff.

If you're average to above average at videogames yes actually

This snake spooked the shit out of me.

Attached: Sekiro™_ Shadows Die Twice_20190322222259.jpg (1920x1080, 233K)

Its no BB but its better gameplay wise then other From games. But its littered with all the same janky flaws that normies will pretend don't exist but then criticize better games for because licking From dick is cool still.

To people with taste its just a regular 7-8/10 gem.

You have to deathblow him off the ledge, it has as special animation where Wolf kicks him. He's invincible otherwise.

That was originally what they were doing in the beginning but they said in an interview that once they started talking with Activision the game ended up becoming something else.

You forgot
>make AI the blindest, deafest motherfuckers in all of nippon

THE CASTLE GATE REMAINS CLOSED

I'd be careful of that guy since he doesn't die when you cut his eye out

Instead, he comes back later and he is NOT HAPPY.

ᵈᵒᵉˢ nᵒᵗ ᵒᵖᵉn ᶠʳᵒᵐ ᵗʰᶦˢ ˢᶦᵈᵉ

Wdym by "reset"?

you forgot
>better scripted sequence than Uncharted

Feel kinda bad for him, just fighting to save his son.

Shorter than both due to just how forgiving idol placement is and how easy it is to move while avoiding enemies.
The amount of content is about the same as base Bloodborne, dunno why O'Rin is a mini boss when From could have easily made her into a full boss.

thanks activision

If only this game didn't have this retarded skill system it might actually have a semblance of a cool moveset.

20-40 hours depending on how guud you are and how much content you want to do.
It’s middle of the road. Better than DSII and III, not as good as BB, DSI, and DeS.

Where do you find the looter who turns into a merchant three years later?

Attached: 20.png (800x700, 39K)

Guys help me out here.

I've adored every FromSoftware game since Demon Souls. Yes that includes Dark Souls 2. I've played the fuck outta the Soulsborne games, and mastered most of them.

I've been playing Sekiro for 2 hours, and so far I'm struggling to like it. It's obviously a good game, and I know it's not suppose to be like the Soulsborne games, but the more I play, the more I wish I was playing Nioh. I hate the combat system. You basically have one answer to every boss fight. I don't like that. I especially don't like how essential parrying is. Granted I'm only a couple hours in, so maybe I'll enjoy more as time goes on. But the lack of customization, and the already repetitive nature of the combat, wearing on me already.

So is it me? Did I go into this game with the wrong mentality? Am I missing something?

Attached: sjn8o3jhnw.png (680x875, 383K)

So now that the dust has settled, what went right

Attached: sekiro-shadows-die-twice-wallpaper.jpg (1280x720, 51K)

>You have to deathblow him off the ledge
are you fucking joking? First "use step dodge to counter grabs" and now "use spear to take off armor".

Where are you supposed to go after getting the mortal blade? Currently trying to kill the Corrupted monk but he has so much fucking health I can't kill him

help me DS4 is not working with the game
even with DS4Windows

He means run off until his boss name/hp bar disappears.

Found a red outfit guys.

Attached: 1533090924332.jpg (2560x1080, 407K)

FROM decided to make the tutorials intentionally misleading. They give you an item which explicitly removes armor before you fight an invincible armored enemy. The item does nothing to him and you need to death blow him off a cliff.

New levels of difficulty.

It very clearly says 'use spear to take off POORLY FITTING ARMOR'.

That niggers armor is not poorly fitting.

The spear clearly says it's for enemies not wearing their armour properly, retard.

is it obvious? I don't want to accidently trigger an early ending

Nope, from have lost their magic touch

BASED RETARD

twitch.tv/darksydephil

If he means the choice I'm thinking of, then yes it's extremely obvious.
You'd have to be soulless to pick that choice though, you'd miss out on a kino boss fight too.

THERE'S AN EAVESDROP THAT TELLS YOU IT'S POORLY FITTED FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING MIYAZAKI CUM SLURPING FAGGOTS

raids are agiainst the rules newfag

Ok well there's a sixth in the water beneath the temple with the purple dude, that's as far as i've gotten though.

Also down stream from there (the bridge next to the first shield guys you fight), there appears to be fish in the water, but they're bugged an never come up, but you can lock onto them etc

It’s not a Souls game, really. It’s more of it’s own thing.
Not saying you’re wrong for not liking it, but rather this isn’t really what you wanted.

Go look at armored bridge dude again.

Does that fucking platemail LOOK like it's poorly fitting? God damn you're retarded. You know what poorly fitting is? Those shitty breastplates the big ogre dudes with the bells like to wear. Not full fucking platemail.

>finally kill the red eyed ogre
Holy shit this game is vague. How the fuck was I supposed to know what the bell did l and that red eyed things were weak to fire. If I have to look shit up then it is bad game design.

Amazing? It looks like fookin shite mate

I can see where you're coming from. As a fellow souls fan, it obviously feels like something's "missing" in this game. But for me personally the greatest high is overcoming a hard boss, and on that point this game has delivered in spades.

There is an eavesdrop RIGHT before the red eyed ogre that tells you it's weak to fire.

The game constantly tells you that beasts with red eyes are weak to fire.

>False flagging this fucking hard because you are a drone and this is how you think the opposition thinks
Kill yourself.

I don't know, the guys talking about it literally next to the fucking ogre might have been a clue.

>eavesdrop on the guards
>they say he's weak to fire
HOLY FUCK user YOU'RE SO FUCKING STUPID THIS CAN'T BE REAL

>google if sekiro has sai in it
>no

sai are cool weapons, why does literally out of all the media ever, only the ninja turtle raphael uses sai? flipping these fuckers around and being a parry king would be dope, their entire purpose was as an obscure riot control weapon for the okinawa police force centuries ago, and were used to catch peasants trying to hit them with sticks and shit. then you hit them in the sternum with the unsharpened middle prong and it doesn't kill them but it hurts like a motherfucker and they will be on the ground. so these could be cool in a game that has a nonlethal option as well

Attached: sai.jpg (225x225, 5K)

Headless monkey. HOW

Is there an intended order you are supposed to do the areas in? It looks like I stumpled on an area with enemies way stronger than I'm supposed to face but I can't find any other areas.

Attached: 1461058662076.jpg (507x473, 24K)

They don't say where to get fire though.

Because they would be shit in an actual swordfight.

>get the sai in MGR
>they literally have no moves aside from "throw every 5 seconds"

fucking hell

True. You need to find it on your own.
Hint: It's in the past, in an area that has lots of fire in it.

What the fuck do I do after killing the ogre dude? The next area has one of those 2 deathblow minibosses and a shit ton of enemies. I can't find a way to stealth around without getting caught by the asshole clanging the pot

Attached: 1551310010301.png (570x480, 342K)

I thought that was the kind of shit you'd want to avoid in game design. I too was using the spear to no avail against that cunt until I accidentally kicked him into the abyss. Didn't even feel like a deserved win.

Merchant sells you the info and hes ten feet from the eavesdrop

>video game with a giant snake in it
>muh realism

I'm pretty sure sekiro isn't an autistic combat sim based on realism

skip and go back later once you kill other minibosses and get more prayer beads

NG+ HAS A HARD MODE THAT MAKES YOU TAKE CHIP DAMAGE FROM NON-PERFECT BLOCKS

Attached: iosefka3.jpg (1200x1200, 154K)

>The next area has one of those 2 deathblow minibosses and a shit ton of enemies.
clear out the mobs, get a stealth hit on the 2 hit guy, then work down his last node
shit isn't that bad, beat him my 3rd try

But I don't know where I can even go

anyone manage to keep the guy alive vs the fat dude?

afaik im only missing one or two minibosses and that would be only halfway to a health upgrade. If there are two more in my current state of the game it has to be only one more upgrade. Is the snake doable before the headless?

>Bess dragon
>that shitty gimmick
>boss used a sword like a normal giants

Fuck off

Not him but I think it is shitty to make key progression elements behind a paywall of disappearing currency.

Merchant also has firecrackers which are literally the most useful prosthetic tool in the entire game.

Seriously I used firecrackers more than...anything. Spear is okay but its always blocked/deflected, shortsword is shit because it does no posture damage and eats talismans like crazy and its poison doesnt proc if it doesnt hit HP, shuriken is only good for knocking airborne enemies down (of which there are like, two), fire has garbage range and a giant wind up meaning you'll always get hit trying to use it, umbrella just wastes talismans since it doesn't even stop attacks when you deflect with it nor does it reduce posture damage taken on block, ect.

I could go on. Firecrackers are the only worthwhile prosthetic in the game.

This is easily From's worst game in the Souls mold. Even Dark Souls 2 is better than this shit.

That's because you're a moron.
Here's a hint: merchants sell bags of money. Can you guess why?
BUY THE BAGS TO 'BANK' YOUR MONEY SO IT DOESNT VANISH ON DEATH

Its not key info its a hint
I think its okay to make hints buyable if the game has infinite money

You just know the people who make posts like this got filtered hard without the ability to cheese.

cost 50-100 coins, which is like fucking nothing.

WHY IS NOBODY RESPONDING TO MY POSTS I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO GO

What pinweel do I give this guy?

oo boy

I never have more than 50 on me.

where do I use the Fresh/Dried serpent viscera

>150 sen for all the information he has
>this is a lot
You fucking niggers are so fucking terrible it's amazing.

I'm enjoying the game so far but this is git gud b8, whatever they honestly went a bit too far with the hardcore super challenging meme. Challenge is good, kicking your players in the teeth for every non trash mob isn't good. Once I beat this, I probably won't come back even though I love the setting, aesthetics, and general feel of combat. I just don't crave the near constant 11/10 difficulty. A shame really, I loved bb and dark souls, but I don't see myself sticking with sekiro.

Anyone else miss summons? This game is too horseshit half the time.

No, I'm easily making my way through the game. The difficulty is roughly the same as every other Souls game the first time through.

>You shouldn't play like roll and R1 spamming Souls baby
>Even braindead vidya journalists get this
That fanbase is a fucking joke lmao

Where to go to do what?

Yes, you're supposed to spam L1 with a little timing instead.

>mfw walking around to new areas with 7k+
I do run back to safety after one revive is gone, makes me exicted and hard like no tomorrow.

Goes to show how casual most of Yea Forums actually is

Literally what is the point of step dodge? Jump is unironically a better dodge move. Counter moves from dodge never seem worth doing.

Where can I progress without getting my ass kicked by enemies that oneshot me and have a billion health
I only got the mortal blade after beating the rival samurai guy

Difficulty goes down to 4/10 when you beat it once, you can convert useless skill points to raw damage, basically instantkilling like a real ninja on everything.

how do i spirit this monk guy away

I think you just need to get used to the block and parry being so godlike, and the dodge complete TRASH in this game. Your mindset will shift with enough practice. And in turn, when we replay Bloodborne and Souls games in the future we will be terrible at those.

>got mortal blade
You need the singing stone and the lotus flower.
For the singing stone, return to the area where you started the game in, the Well, and follow the flooded passage.
For the lotus flower, return the serpent shrine just behind the big Castle and descend into the ravine.

Also enemies will always oneshot/2 shot you and have a billion health. Get used to it.

Are there any BB2 easter eggs in Sekiro like there was in Deraciné?

youtu.be/xz1-H4gmPC0

IGN even knows how to make the combat system work for them in a knowledgable and enjoyable to watch manner

Anyone watching DarkSydePhil play this game?
it's pretty hilarious

The whole increasing your attack upgrade system seems pretty shitty. If you wanted to get away from stat investment and the like why keep that around and tie it to bosses? Now it feels really punishing trying to explore optional areas and running into enemies that take practically no posture or health damage purely because I haven't gotten enough attack boosts yet.

that ruins the fun, like people who install mods in a game without ever playing vanilla first. summons make bosses trivial so you are basically cheating yourself if you never solo each boss at least once

hopefully he'll finally get an aneurysm in the brain from this game.

I just recently got into fromsoft games so I have no nostalgia and 1 is still my favorite soulsborne game, 2 is worse because [common criticisms] and 3 is worse because it's bloodborne but your character has chronic arthritis while enemies are all hopped up on speedball. the first game has all the quintessential elements of the genre most evenly represented, 2 and 3 have too much gay shit like bad art or fucked poise

Das1 is the only one with shit poise mechanics
hyper armor was great. buffed heavy weapon bois, nerfed armor niggers (which indirectly buffs dex builds), encouraged people to ditch tanking and be mobile, the list goes on

>clear out the mobs
That's the problem. I can stealth kill two guys right around the tall grass but then there's no way to get the others without the one high up seeing me and aggroing every enemy.

What did he think of MY NAAAAAAMEEEE IS

>removed tanking

exactly, it's bloodborne. instead of being able to tank OR be a fast dexfag, now you have to be a fast faggot no matter what. it just removes options. I rarely actually used heavy armor because I prefer to be a wippy dippy ninja anyway but I did like facing such people and it's nice to have that option

he's going through all of the casual whining that Yea Forums went through yesterday

"this game isn't fun. it's work"

Attached: phil.jpg (1440x1425, 136K)

nah tanking was dumb and nobody who wasn't a shitter missed it
not even trying to be a dick but it broke the game in a lot of places

I wish the bosses attacks were more clear. Most seem to flail about aimlessly making it rather difficult to understand when I can attack.

This is absolutely unbelievable. He finishes a rant on how the game is not fun because it's too difficult and he jumps down trying to plunge kill an enemy, overshoots the enemy, overshoot the ledge, and falls into the abyss.

I don't know why people say 3 is the easiest, it is the fucken hardest if you don't cheese. Half the builds that work in 1 and 2 will get you assfucked in 3 so going in blind probably made it harder for a lot of people

MEANINGFUL KILLS

Ragequit.

get mikiri counter for that shinobi killer.

Installing right now, what am I in for?

this game is going to brake phil, much harder to cheese than souls

Attached: 1528383836061.jpg (470x470, 31K)

how the fuck do I give the bait to the stupid giant carp

i found it easier than most of 2's bullshit like royal rat
shit was NOT fun on SL1

did all of those deaths really come from gundyr? I got him on my second try without summons once I figured out by accident that he could be parried

My first death happened at horse boss, am I a bad?

>Ninja DUO bosses in a tiny room
sasuga From, learning from the master Nioh how to make annoying RNG fights where you do nothign but run and charge attack

I can't watch this guy. This goes without saying but holy fuck he's retarded.

LACG is a test of your ability to time your deflects

3 is by far the hardest in terms, anyone that says otherwise is lying except maybe for Bloodborne depending on the player.
Dark Souls 1 is so easy it's pathetic, the bosses die faster than I can count to 10 and their movies are simpler than the easiest mini bosses in Sekiro.

It isn’t dark souls
Learn to deflect, but don’t forget to dodge
Don’t r1 spam
Don’t even bother trying to fight more than one guy at a time

nah that's pretty standard you're doing fine

imagine playing dark souls but you can't level up until you reach gwyn

mada mada

No, that seems about right.

It's kind of offputting that the only real objective so far is 'rescue shota'. I'm swimming through the reservoir, jumping around rooftops and tromping about mountain temple grounds with no real sense of direction or purpose.

What boss? If you mean the one after returning to Ashina castle after your idols get turned off the other dude isn't a mini boss and you can stealth kill him before starting the mini boss.

If I'm remembering correctly, I think Pontiff and Gundyr clocked him for about 150 deaths between both of them
the death toll likely would've been even higher had he not summoned for Nameless King after only a few attempts

I SL1/Bl4 all the games and I can safely say that DaS2 was the hardest and DaS was the easiest.
DaS3 was second easiest

DaS 2 > BB > DeS > DaS3 > DaS

Shit game that looks like shit.

>hyper armor was great. buffed heavy weapon bois, nerfed armor niggers
t.pvp cuck

Am i a real nigga for keeping this demon burden with me?
Loot/Xp seems to be the same.

HE FOUND THE OGRE. Ragequit soon.

cool, how do i stealth him? would be fun to use Puppeter on him.
maybe I'm not at the right entrance

it has better gameplay that's for sure. Yeah the setting and enemies aren't as bewildering but that's alright, it's still pretty fucking good unless you're one of those people who can't stop complaining about the Japan settings. Fuck half those big ass enemies you just end up running past in Souls anyways, remember the ringed dlc? Yeah.

a game that manages to be even shorter than bloodborne, but without any replayability

the only thing that applies to pvp is dex builds being better (read: worthwhile)
everything else applies to singleplayer

so much evidence you provided zero lmfao

MADA MADA

>Four hours in
>Already really, REALLY fucking bored of Japanese pogodas
Help.

You should be at the idol right before them, it's like a 2 second walk. Just go into stealth and walk close to the wall and then kill him.

Is DSP at least funny? Like from a non Kafka comedy point of view? Or is he just like a Chris-Chan type “Jesus Christ this guy is so pathetic it’s interesting” type deal?

He JUST reached the ogre and he's freaking out

Does the Timid Maid die always die after you cure the rot the first time? I made sure to check she was still alive then went to cure it and now she's dead (along with Inosuke).

AHHHH WHAT IS THIS?

Attached: 20190322235034_1.jpg (3840x2160, 575K)

thats right its actually good and not a snorefest like BB

>mini bosses or regular enemies are harder than bosses
bravo FROM. That kicking and sweeping faggor that guarded the raven mist tool was the hardest fight so far, guy on horse was easy as pie. Drunkard fatso got the oil + fire treatment, no way I'm going to fight him with his 20 goons fair and square

Is DSP going to play Sekiro? I want some schadenfreude.

Attached: 28433016_735281513262196_3740490144822591488_n.jpg (480x480, 64K)

Cheese him, stand in low ground and mash r1

Why the fuck do people enjoy these games? Is "lol they're like super hard man" literally the only reason?

definitely the latter

Seems pretty accurate. Three probably has the hardest unskippable bosses in the series. Pontiff will fuck up most people a good long while on a blind playthrough himself.

He's playing it right now, he's going against the chained ogre and getting pwnd

was gonna call you new but you literally told me you were new to souls so now I feel like a dick
miyazakis design philosophy is similar to ararakis: at first he thought big bois were cool but now he's into quick twinks
the design choices in each successive game favor mobility more and more over tankiness, item description for shield in bloodborne, making blocks / tanking less viable with each entry, etc.

he's streaming right now and getting fucked up by the ogre

DSP is insufferable
if you can't find any enjoyment in him as a lolcow then he's definitely not worth your time

Honestly, he's absolutely right. Challenge is a good thing to have in games but it shouldn't be the only reason you play them.

DSP is about to kill the ogre on his second attempt. none of you have any fucking excuse.

Do I need the divine confetti for this? Because I accidentally used it

Had this exact issue, and it's not your hardware, software or any other bullshit people will try to pin it in.
Here's exactly what it is and what fixed it for me: When you go into display settings in any multiple monitor setup, you'll see that each of them is assigned a number. If your monitor IS NOT the one with the IDENTITY of 1, Sekiro will be locked at sub 20 FPS. Changing your main monitor does not affect it, only the IDENTITY of the monitor, somehow. This is a huge fucking glaring problem, because apparently there's no way of actually changing which identity your monitor has.

The only fix I found was straight up fucking UNPLUGGING EVERY OTHER MONITOR so that the one I want to play the game on has the identity of 1. At this point the game will run flawlessly. Unfortunately the identities of the monitors resets when you plug the other ones back in, so each fucking time you launch the game you have to unplug all your other monitors.

I have no fucking idea how the fuck they managed to fuck the game up like this, but the japs and their half assed ports did it again.

In short for anyone with framerate issues: Unplug monitors until the one you want to play on has the identity of 1. Main display, display order, etc, does nothing, for some reason identity does.

Attached: This is not what I wanted.jpg (640x480, 74K)

There's more to it. One of the biggest reasons I love BB is because of the setting, art direction and atmosphere (OST is fucking A+).

Kek, nice.

Eceleb posters should all get banned from life

Are there supposed to be any vibration for parry or finish?

I can't feel any except when getting hit.

If you're on Yea Forums you've already been banned from life.

ogre is easy. i'm currently being bodied by genchiro

>Deaths: 30
I guess he has to make up for all those deaths somewhere

Did you try plugging them in on different ports to see if that changes which one gets to be 1?

I normally would agree, but come on, watching DSP fight the Ogre is amazing. One in a lifetime experience.

he refuses to rez so realistically that number should be lower
not sure if he's artificially pumping up death numbers for laughs or what

cant wait for a cheat engine script to make dragonrot fuck off

I'm fucking awful at this game, I did all the souls series with no problem but I'm stuck on like the second general dude in this game

this, fuck this guy and his bow desu

I have no idea how people have trouble with the ogre if they have the fire thing, he dies in 20 seconds.

Is DSP only enjoyable in the sense that he’s so bad at video games that it’s funny or is he actually funny? Does he have good commentary? Is he a good streamer?

Is he only worth getting invested in to make fun of?

I did which worked for the regular monitor, but it seems to insist on making my TV have the identity of 1.

>Is he only worth getting invested in to make fun of?
yes
DSP offers nothing else

that makes more sense, it seemed abnormally high even for him.

Ok that’s what I wanted to know

it's not enjoyable at all desu it's grating and mind-numbing how retarded and terrible at video games he is and he has worse opinions than Yea Forums if you're a masochist he's fun to watch

"I just don't care anymore"

He's actually going to rage quit this game isn't he?

after you beat the monk area and go down to get the flower. how far is that in the game.

Would this game really be worse or too easy if there was a different color kanji for different unblockables, it’s not too bad when an enemy throws them out by themselves, but when they do it at the end of a string how the fuck am I supposed to react

I hope not.

why does this game run like shit on my PC? dark souls 3 ran just fine

It's way better than BB and DS3. It does the whole Pure Action thing right. I still prefer DeS, DS1, and DS2 over it though since I prefer RPGs.

Just like the good old days in Blighttown, before he started getting carried through streaming.

Thrusts should have a blue/whatever kanji imo, since they actually have a special counter. You'd still have to learn the timing so it wouldn't be too easy, but eh.

Did you kill the 4 monkeys? Did you give the rice to the two grandmas?

nice thanks

DIvine Confetti spawns?

>can't figure out where to go
>only path I see has a sign that says "DON'T FIGHT THE HEADLESS"
>fuck it maybe I can take him
>OH FUCK FUCK FUCK
>find a cave in the arena
>has a trap door at the end
>maybe I was supposed to do that, hope I'm on the right track
>get to dead end with a big ass bell that says "DON'T RING THE BELL"
For fuck's sake

Attached: 1491771258807.jpg (947x873, 91K)

yeah this is a common complaint and it's pretty valid imo
if you're going to telegraph it to us might as well make the telegraph worth a shit

If you have multiple monitors, check which one has the identity of 1 and swap the port your main monitor is plugged into with whatever monitor has the identity of 1. It's some kind of quirk from porting it over to PC I would guess. It absolutely insists on the game running on the first identified monitor.

no i didn't even do the areas i pointed out. was just asking how far in am I

he's even getting spoon fed by the chat. the level incompetence is impressive

Attached: 1505076429630.jpg (421x421, 185K)

running on a single monitor.

Is this game the dark souls of 2019?

Attached: 37E9067F-9337-4142-B07A-6CB7006621E3.jpg (398x453, 63K)

>Fuck the big ass white monkey and its AoE Terror and hitscan poop, took me 15 fucking tries

For those having trouble with Lady Old Hag, first chip down her health to below 50% and then get aggressive by doing a three hit combo and then parrying her kick and kicking her in the head after the sweep. You just have to keep in mind some attacks you have to dodge, like the one she jumps on you (good to punish for damage) and the combo that end with a sweep on the second phase. Her illusions are annoying so you have to dodge more on the second phase.

don't ring that fucking bell user for the love of buddha DON'T

AoE terror is really easy to avoid if you sprint away rather than dodge away, also the poop can be avoided by jumping last second but not too last second.

Sekiro is the dark souls of fromsoft games

is there a specific reason that DSP isn't resurrecting (besides being retarded and etc)?

It's not so much as fanboys desperately trying to justify to themselves why this action game only has one weapon in it.

This.
Sekiro is harder than soulsborne.

because he's a chad and its first try or nothing.

Would you say that it is the Dark Souls of Dark Souls?

He is playing now and has been crying the whole time.
