I believe that should allow me to play basically everything with great graphic settings. However a friend recommended me to get the thing from pic related as well.

Is it even necessary? Whats your say on the matter?

(I try to play stuff like guilty gear xrd, injustice 2, the witcher, etc)

Get a 2600. Not a bad processor. You will be good. If you are not in a rush then wait till the 3000 series is released in a couple months.

Yes, it's necessary, your current processor is outdated crap. But get a 2600 instead.

>have an AMD fx6300
>any new cpu that I want would require me to buy an entirely new motherboard, greatly increasing the cost of what would be a simple upgrade
ITS NOT FAIR AAAAAAAA

Spend a bit more and get a 1660TI and a 2600X. Its like $80 more bucks for a big upgrade.

Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G are good if you are going to get them without getting a dedicated GPU(or if you'll add one later), but if you already plan on getting a GPU, then there's better CPU choice, like the 2600 everyone suggested

Alright. Im getting one thing at a time, so...

1060 or 2600 first?

So, 2600 first, 1060 later?

I dont know when ill be able to get the 1060, it might be a while.

What is your current graphics card ?

Shitty ass integrated one. Radeon r5 i believe, it cant run shit.

Don't forget that you'd have to discard your ddr3 ram and upgrade to ddr4 since am4 only supports that

My advice is valid if you get the CPU and GPU together.
Then i'd say 2400G since it has integrated Vega 11 which, even if not at the max settings, can run pretty much anything decently enough(I have a 2200G with vega 8 and have no issues running DMC5 mid settings, the games you mentioned shouldnt have issues even at higher settings).
But with the integrated vega GPU you need to allocate 2GB of your ram as VRAM, so if you have 8GB, you'll effectively have 6GB usable as standard RAM

This seems like a good upgrade. I would say 1660TI first.

Personally, I've been very happy with my Ryzen 7. You can't go wrong, honestly. You're getting a lot of processor for a good price.

Okay, thanks.

Ill just wait a little longer, if i have enough ill get the 2600 with the 1060.
If not ill get the 2400 and add the 1060 later.

Thanks again.

Oh yeah, something else. This is the one, right?

get a ryzen 7 1700

most value for your money value stuff

In that case go with what said and keep an eye out for a 1660 or AMD's new Navi cards later this year

I know user, and it fucking kills me
I was planning on buying a ryzen 2700x, and that's like 300 which is something I can easily do
But with a motherboard and 16gb of ddr4 ram it comes up to $620-675 before tax which is an entire paycheck and I still have bills to pay.

Ive never been one to play many AAA games, so I could run most things on at least high and not lose frames, but I recently started playing the division 2 and anthem, and I need to run them both at lowest settings and I still get microstutters
Kill me

the upgrade to ryzen 2700 really isn't worth it

You a broke bitch? Still stuck with an AM3+ socket? Wanna run more modern games? Say no more. ebay.com/itm/303040200790

This fucking thing is a blessing for broke niggers like me. Now Yea Forums please reply to this telling me why its bad.

If you're still stuck in am3+ that'll give you a lot of bang for your buck, but it's still better to just upgrade to an am4
