The last time I played OpenMW, you could take out your fists when starting a new game, right after the guard says "This is where you get off, come with me". You can press 0, which is the default hotkey for switching to fists (you can't open the hotkey menu itself though). Before choosing a race and class, your character has 5 in all skills but Hand to Hand, which is 100 -- same as the original game, but in the original game, you can't wield your fists at this point, even if you press 0.
What do I do to get this fixed? It's a small thing but it annoys me because every time I start playing, I end up punching Jiub to death, and that's not cool.
