Honestly the current state of AA seems to be mostly pandering towards fans of the original trilogy, last two games brought back a buncha characters who’s arcs ended years ago. We had a (mediocre) anime adaptation that’s still currently going, next step should really be localizing DGS.

I feel like Athena was introduced at a bad time. Apollo still needed to have his character more fleshed out when Dual Destinies was a thing, and it felt weird to have DD focus so much on Athena and then have SoJ have the bare minimum of focus on her like he was there out of pure obligation. Did we even get a court case with her therapeutic gimmick outside of her one court case in SoJ?

Well, they’ve ripped off 1-5, 2-4, and 2-2 for their finale. Maybe this time they’ll rip off 3-5 even more, and introduce a new rival prosecutor who really hates Apollo for some stupid retconned reason, and we’ll get a flashback trial that somehow retcons Kristoph Gavin into a good guy. Because why the fuck would we try and make anything new when we can just pillage all the bits people liked from all the Takumi games?
