Don't give a shit about some pandering interview answer, but the guns an interesting point. I think it'll work well. Guns are shit against the super natural generally, only the more powerful shit will be of any use. So it makes sense to me that you throw and forget them. Gameplay wise, you could simply find a shotgun and store it for any tough encounter, otherwise you'll be relying on melee and magic.
I mean, to me it sounds fine because there are a thousand shooters in the world and barely any vampire games, so I'll want to focus on brute strength, blood magic etc. If those systems are good, I won't miss guns being anymore more than a 'temp power up' at all.
