Okay, damn, man. Victory is yours; I submit.

This is game is actually fun and comfy and Yea Forums only shits on it because they are contrarians/jaded. Also discussion about the Elder Scrolls is just like Dark Souls where it is just shitpostin about which one is the worst rather than actual discussion or talking about what you love.

NO U

i love the unmodded look about oblivion. their potatofaced heads and the fact that every race only has one voice actor per gender makes you feel like you're old friends with every npc you encounter. the game is from 2006 but its natural scenery looks gorgeous

This is oblivion with better grass and trees and new weapon meshes. It looks absolutely fantastic imho.

for screenshots so i can save'em

Thanks, I just realized I have to hide ui for screenshots. I'll probably grab mods for darker nights tonight. I still have to setup sweetfx or that other thing with ssao and ambient oclusion. ENB totally destroys shadows in my game.

making the game look pretty doesnt make the quests and exploartion any newer or more exciting. how many times have you played oblivion before? if you've played it a bunch before then how do you entertain urself?

NEVER SHOULD OF COME HERE

I have played it only once 10 years ago I think. My save file got corrupted and meshes for my character disappeared in both 1st and 3rd person.
This playthrough I'm using alternative start mod, starting in Anvil. I have all map markers hidden and fast travel disabled. Better Dungeons keep things slightly more entertaining. I actually find enjoyment in walking across the whole country, entering every single cave and slowly filling my map with markers.

do you have a mod which offers fast traveling between certain points? like being able to fast travel from anvil to bruma and vice versa? you'll spare yourself a bunch of downtime if you do have one. also i hope you fixed the level scaling.

I was thinking about two mods: travel services like in Morrowind or sailable ships with crew management. The second one pretty much requires another mod which adds drawbridges everywhere. I'm barely started playing, so I'll probably settle for travel services. This will clash with camping mod I have.

It's not exactly fixed, but I got Balanced Creature Stats and some simple mod which streamlines player leveling. I didn't want Oblivion XP, it changes things too much for my taste and looks like it'll crash every 5 seconds.

Arrow in the knee amirite? Haha, Skyrim memes XD

travel services wont clash with ur camping stuff, you'll still have to venture into areas where fast travel isnt accessable.

its just important to not have the bandits wear glass or deadric armor all the time. I wish there were more incentive to buy weapons, armor and equipment rather than finding it from looting shit.

Why did they make magic the way they do'd?

Do you go to cloud district very often? What am I saying? Of course you do.

I somehow managed to stay away from large overhaul mods like FCOM, Francesco's, Deadly Reflexes, Midas Magic, etc. I didn't even install any magic overhaul because those 3 that exist look stupid. Chargeable spells looked interesting but I decided to skip it, it went against my battlemage acrobat character. I have like 140 mods for textures and immersion, basically nothing gamechanging.

>First time playing Skyrim
>Have no idea I could upgrade my shit
>Spend around 50 hours wondering why I my character was so weak
>Eventually find out about the fucking Skill Tree

Was locking higher grade weapons behind a perk tree a good thing or a bad thing.

a thing which it didn't do?
the fuck are you on about

>game is heavily level-scaled
>never level up
>switch to Master difficulty
>encounter first scripted dragon fight
>hide in the tower
>every whiterun guard is dead
>dragon is camping your unkillable NPC escort by flying around and spamming breath
>walk up to dragon
>dragon's eating animation plays
>instantly die
bravo Todd
