>Original big bad is hyped up in the 1st game as being this unstoppable force of nature
>Gets fucking destroyed at the end of the 1st game
>Original Big Bad shows up in the sequel game but he's completely lost all of his intimidation factor from the previous game to the point where he's used for comedy instead of actually being deemed serious as he was originally presented
Bowser in Paper Mario. Funnily enough the reverse basically happens in the Mario and Luigi games.

Pegasus should died like in the manga
Nicholas Gutierrez
Well, after losing the Millenium Eye, it fits that Pegasus isn't nearly as dangerous as he used to be.
Jose Howard
Yu-Gi-Oh R was a mistake why the fuck does this Manga even exist?
>There are normies like Cvit that doubt Marik's deck and say its trash because its based around what the fuck its suppose to do which is to mass sacrifice cards to get Ra out faster
>These same retards think Bakura's deck isn't trash and its seen with more positive ambition since it resembles that of a modern burning Abyss deck
I'm just gonna say. Orichalchos was a better arc then when they traveled back in time to Egypt. By the time this happened I was way more critical over shows like GX which have aged masterfully well compared to Post Battle City Yu-Gi-Oh
Jacob Cooper
Its weird because Bowser doesn't even need the Star Rod. Later Paper Mario games have plot McGuffin's all over the world that essentially do the same thing that the Star Rod did but better like the Sticker Crown in Sticker Star
Kayden Peterson
Battle City was pretty peak, yeah. Marik was great.
Lucas Phillips
They're just salty because he essentially used meme tactics to beat Mai and Joey's garbage decks
Lets be real. Is Joey really going to use shit like Insect Queen and Fortress Whale/Legendary Fishermen of course not because Jinzo is the only trophy card he won that has any sort of use.
I hate so much that the writers stopped having Yami doing the Mind Crush attack that shit was so hype at the end of every Shadow game
Also Panik's death in the manga was way more intense then it was in the 4Kids revision.
Isaiah Young
I don't know why people see Marik's deck as a meme tactic. Back then archetypes weren't really fleshed out as they are now, so the duels aren't as focused back then as they are these days. I never really saw Marik's deck as a sac-for-Ra deck - he had ways to do it but it seemed like he had more random effects too.
Lucas Myers
And he didnt even actually beat Joey's deck.
Kevin Bennett
>Summons Gearfiend uses his special effect to attack Marik's lifepoint directly because he used Ra's effect to essentially drain his Lifepoints to 1 thus making him a massive bullseye
>In the manga the thought of losing a Shadow game to Joey was so absurd that Marik angerly vomited in his hand
I fucking love the Manga so much its hilarious.
Bakura's deck is 100% a meme and a majority of the cards in the deck are either unusable in the current meta or 100% banned.
Mason Hernandez
Literally just watched Panik and was wondering what the fuck happened to him after the mind crush. What happens in the manga?
Logan Sullivan
In the Manga since Panik mains an all Darkness themed deck he brags about how he no longer fears the concept of death
When he loses however Yami challenges that theory and sends Panik to the Underworld where the Grim reaper comes to hang him and Panik gets so scared when he see's that noose you could literally see the whites in his eyes
Except Marik's Deck WAS trash you dense fuck. In every instance he dueled, he would've easily lost had his opponent not gone full retard, or if he didn't fucking cheat.
Josiah Cook
Zero is a cool prequel series to the Manga but its very formulaic its the closest someone will ever get to a Saw Manga.
Elaborate mr Professional tier duelist who probably uses Arc-V cards and went to a regional once.
Jacob Taylor
>you could literally see the whites in his eyes Well yeah, you can see the whites of any anime character's eyes.
Jose Watson
>Joey would have lost to Marik's bodyguard who's name I don't remember had Marik not told him to use the counterfeit Ra >Marik would have lost to Joey had Ra's attack not shattered his spirit or whatever the fuck it did It's like poetry.
Daniel Thomas
>Elaborate mr Professional tier duelist who probably uses Arc-V cards and went to a regional once. Marik's deck is all over the fucking place, it's not even Ra turbo, it's miscellaneous torture device cards with oddball effects. There's like two cards in it that go with the tributes to Ra plan. He's a fucking shit duelist too, given how hard Yami stomped him during every duel Marik was possessing a mook.

Yugibro list
Joey>gongenzaka>jack atlas=chazz>>>>>>>vrains fire dude>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>we don't talk bout zexal
Zachary Martinez
After the trainwrecks that were ArcV and Vrains, people are starting to realize that Zexal wasn't actually that bad.
Arc v had a pretty good first two story arc. The moment they left synchro work is when it went badly. Vrains I agree is a train wreck. Characters are worse than zexal which is pretty hard to do. Reason I rated the yugibro higher is because Atleast it has one. Zexal I couldn't figure out who was the bro. Shark was an arse all series and galaxy dude was just edgy all the time.
Evan Morris
You want to dress up like a Blue-Eyes? That's the only way he's gonna.
Zero involves the King of Games thing being a bit more literal - 'Games' as in various dangerous games, like dropping a bunch of yen into a shoe with a fucking SCORPION in it and seeing how many coins you can take out at one time without being stung. Yami's punishments are also vary - he curses a guy to have mosaic vision, some dudes get electrocuted, and he comes across as far more sinister in a way because he has the absolutely great stare with a smile he gives them. Kaiba shows up as well, and Duel Monsters first showed up in Zero. The card game drew so much attention from fans who wanted to learn all the rules that it turned into what the series ended up actually being about. Otherwise Kaiba was a mad cunt who proceeded to hire three internation hitmen to kill the main group in a rigged laser tag battle. It's nuts.

Anything that has an amusement effect ark called “Murderland” is ok in my book
