I added a mod that allowed me to finish the quest without killing the dragon.

He tries to convert the remaining dragons to the way of the voice. Odahviing calls the way of the voice tyranny because it conflicts with a dragons' nature.
Paarthurnax has subverted his own nature but he doesn't have the right to impose his beliefs on the rest of dragonkind.

Dragons are natural born chads and paarthurnax wants them all to turn into cucks like he did.

Dragons aren't born the way mortals are; they are children of Akatosh and intrinsically connected to time, which is why they're immortal unless defeated by a Dragonborn.

Alduin being the first-born (really just another form of Akatosh) is entirely immortal and will eventually comsume this Kalpa cycle.
