Furries and other erp cancer will roll on normal rp servers so they can be safe from people ganking them, rp-pvp servers are usually free of cancer and have people who want to rp normally, just look at the difference between emerald dream and moonguard

Engineering is a money sink that you pickup at max level and use it for pvp, other than using it for pvp engineering is useless

you dont make any gun with engineering in vanilla

people are too focused on getting the pvp rewards to enjoy old av anyway. Private servers are full of people screaming in chat to group up and run through the npcs instead of fighting and just pushing tower by tower. Which fails and then everyone just disperses while 1 rogue at the end spams "COME NORTH/SOUTH" over and over again

leatherworking and tailoring can help you make pretty decent end game and leveling gear but blacksmithing is pretty underwhelming and would be entirely ignored were it not for a couple of pre-raid bis items

Nightfall is a thing. Also nice trips.

Tailoring: yes. The epic robes you can craft are good (and bop). Bloodvine set bonus requires tailoring 300, and bloodvine is a very strong set. Mooncloth is in good demand and will get you some money.
LW: Has some decent stuff, but it's all boe so you can just find someone to craft it for you
BS: Same as above, except more expensive to level up

I think I'll just go skinning/mining as I level, leave the stuff I mined in my bank and switch to engineering when I'm at 60.

Engineering is not a money maker and more of a sink
Best used in pvp since you craft lots of trinkets and gadgets that grant you unique skills

If you have a raiding guild you will want at least one BS for the armorsmithing gear in your guild. If its you, you better be invested as you will be running BRD constantly for everyone's armor.

If you aren't going to raid, bs is completely worthless. It's cheaper in time and gold to buy the mats for the few good end game items than to level up to get them. Especially since you have to pick between sword, axe, and mace on top of weapon or armorsmithing.

They didn't, but in the classic panel at blizzcon, they had a screenshot with two gnomes - one named Osconty and one July. You can find a video on youtube of a patchwerk kill on July 16th recorded by a gnome named Osconty, and on armory you can find a level 16 gnome named Osconty. Blizzard has hinted the release dates of some expansions in similar ways.

I was talking about earlier patches since that guy seemed to want pre 1.12 talent trees. Consec was a 21p talent in ret prior to the paladin revamp, kings 31p talent.

Divine strength is a tier 1 talent so it's hardly a big deal. Consec is also early in the tree, which makes it relatively easy to get as prot/ret, unlike when it was in ret. Couldn't go 31 points into prot and get your aoe tanking tool. Deflection is also early in the tree.

Sure, there is room for improvement, but the trees are massively better than they were prior to the talent revamps. That said, talent trees shouldn't strive to be "perfect". If you put all the useful tanking talents in prot, for example, what ends up happening is that you have absolutely no variety in talents if you want to tank. The choices end up being pretty much obvious. You should have to make compromises in order to get some good stuff, though there is a limit to as to how big the compromise can be.

There is no point in talents that are utter garbage. They might as well not exist because no one will put points in them, and if they're forced to put points in them, it's just going to make them feel annoyed. There is also no point in talents that are too good. All it does is reduce spec variety, because you're essentially forced to go grab said talent.

It's not like crusader/holy strike existed on top of the current paladin toolkit. The seal/judgement system replaced the strikes. This was, according to the vanilla class designer, because they didn't want paladin to be too similar to warrior. That said, ret paladin could use some changes, but as to what they should be I don't know. Never really played paladin much.

I'd like to talk about Tier 0.5, since no one ever does, and why the quest chain should be opened up sooner than Phase 5 (AQ). Every progressive release cycle waits until it's practically useless to release this set when really only a few pieces are gated behind the silithus lords. It would be way cooler to start the chain during phase 4 with ZG release and just be stuck waiting for AQ to do the silithus part which is basically the last 2 peices (helm/chest) iirc. It wouldn't have any effect on progression because no1 gives a fuck about ZG difficulty and anyone who wants it before AQ can just power thru it in a day when it releases anyway. The ZG phase is basically a big downtime between real raids so it's just the perfect time to slap it in there and give people something to do. Instead it's going to wait until the point where no1 gives a shit about it, sad oversight.

I’m probably the 8th biggest autist in this thread and I only play pretty races because I like the thematic connotations of a beautiful warrior and I want to be Griffith when I grow up.

The gear is better itemized than dungeon set, since it actually has green bonuses and shit. The item rework with AQ is when Blizz started getting better at gear. The real advantage is that the bonuses flip so the juicy 6 set bonus is now only 4 pieces. The Helm and Chest are really good, basically on par with T 2.5, but the rest is hit or miss for most classes. Bracers cheap and easy, and not a lot of good bracers options overall anyway. You could work the 4 set in for pvp because of bracers/belt/boots but generally it's too late to matter by the time AQ is in full swing.

No rp on emerald dream, rp and degeneracy on moon guard

Alliance cities are much better set up for RP but the Horde RP scene is more mature and hardcore. Less 12 year old female night elf cat girl furfags and Horde mary sues come from autists with no self awareness rather than kids who don’t know any better.

Alchemy is pretty good but herbalist in general was a nightmare to level on the private servers I tried.

Engineering is pretty good but most of the time its just for dueling unless your willing to mine forever to make tons of grenades. Unless you plan on doing lots of world pvp you can stick with alchemy.

A lot of people like Mages and Warriors but those classes will be heavily over populated. Hunters will to a lesser extent but rogues are usually a good choice in the long run.

That doesn’t matter for comfy play. Being 15% worse at everything is a trade off I can make for being able to level a warrior rogue caster healer and get to play with all the fun mechanics that brings.

Tirisfal Glades -> Silverpine Forest -> Hillsbrad -> Arathi Highlands

Troll warrior is actually the best horde race for tanking and the 2nd best for DPS. You can actually have an advantage over orcs sometimes because you're not forced into axes, which means you'll have less competition for your gear.

I've also played multiple private servers at launch, and it was often just a fucking nightmare.

If you managed to make it past the 5k+ queue, you'd be greeted with an endless ocean of players and you just couldn't kill any mobs or do any quests because everything had a 1-2 minute respawn time with 10 people all huddled around every single spawn point trying to tag it as fast as possible.

Northdale fixed this by having dynamic respawn on mobs, shit would respawn in literally like 5 seconds after it died, and while this made the game 100% playable, it created a situation where players were literally just standing in 1 spot killing the same mob over and over again for super fast leveling in 1-10 zones.

Sharding is pretty much required or the game is going to be unplayable for 1-2 weeks following launch, and that'd just be a massive PR nightmare for blizzard. Having a few autists screeching about sharding is much better than having every single gaming news outlet reporting that Classic is a failure because nobody can actually play.

It's appropriate that you linked that set because before getting it you are basically fucking dogshit. No early gear is optimized for you including your own sets. You are stuck frankensteining other people's gear together. Once you have it tho you get to enjoy the full class fantasy of being a tanky battle healer. You still wear dresses in raids, but outside of that you can hold your own in pvp with crit holy shocks and phatty judgement damage while being an unkillable support machine, tank 5mans, solo aoe dungys and sell runthrus like no1's business. You can do some of that with T1 but it's not nearly as good as T2. It's even decent for a spell damage ret build, which is kinda whatever but hey it's better than wearing warrior gear and being shit at off healing.

No mobs to kill. Every single spawn is camped and gets tagged the second is spawns.

Alright, here's your problem. You're a pserverbabby and you don't understand official servers.

You remember being able to kill a mob during elysium's launch? Do you remember it respawning back within a few seconds? That won't happen here. Instead of 2 seconds, the spawn timer is 5 minutes.

You have 1000 people packed into the same zone. You have a couple hundred mobs in the level 1-6 area, each with a spawn timer of 3-5 min. For each spawn point there are 3-5 people standing there, waiting for 3-5 minutes so that one person can tag the mob and kill it (and it won't be you unless you play a class with an instant attack like rogue).

Even if you venture outside the 1-6 area, there will be no mobs for you. The entire areas have somewhere around 1000 level 1-11 mobs total, about one mob per person per 3-5 minutes. There will be no lines for quest mobs, because the line would be over a hundred people long, with the guy at the end of the line having to wait several hours for the spawn.

It's not crowded. It can't be even called a clusterfuck. At that point you can't even call it a game, because you can't fucking play.

I'll quote you too, since you're equating it to pserver launches. It's a very bad comparison due to dynamic spawns.

I played WoW for 7 years, starting from the retail release, and not a single person I'm still in touch with has any intention of playing Classic. Half of them are still playing the main version.

The main complaint is that leveling/progression is too slow and the payoff will be miniscule since there will always be a hardcap. Part of the appeal of WoW was you knew that cap would always be lifted at some point so your work and time investment wouldn't go to waste. WoW Classic? Nope. Nothing. And that's the chief complaint for people that actually have families and jobs and value to their time.

It just means people will sell items, you retail retard.

Months from release, you need to get to BWL release for starters. Then farm it weekly. Every paladin in your guild will want it except for the pve heros who know tier gear isn't as good as random crap. Realistically you could expect to finish the set some time around ZG if all goes well. If you are willing to cut deals with other paladins and pass prio on some items you could speed up the process. Lok'amir is also another item that goes hand in hand with this set so you have to deal with priests/druids who might want that as well, altho most people are content with the zg healing wep.

Because sharding is 100% the better solution. The people complaining about sharding and wanting dynamic respawns over them are generally pserver babbies, who want what they were given.

Regardless of sharding, it's still going to be crowded. It's not as if the shard sizes will be 10 people, and you won't see anyone there. Whether you see Legolas1 or Legolas2 who quits the game after playing it for a week doesn't realistically affect your experience.

Unlike sharding, dynamic respawns heavily affect how you play the game. Standing in the same spot killing the same enemy over and over again wasn't how the game was designed to be played, nor was it ever how you played the game during server launches. It's purely a private server thing.

All the collect quests now become "stand in the same spot and loot the object over and over again" instead of actually having to search them and dealing with mobs that are near them. Aoe grinding suddenly becomes extremely fast, because after clearing a camp, it spawns back almost immediately. Just make a group to aoe shit down over and over, and you're suddenly leveling much faster than you should be.

There are a couple other issues with dynamic spawns as well, but I've written about them too many times already. Just go search the archive or something.

It's not like this will cost infinite money. I'm getting an RTX 2080 Ti at the end of this year. You really think I care for a few bucks extra on something that might end up pretty fun?

IMO battlegrounds don't even belong in WoW.

I think you can probably still enjoy it. Don't expect it to be anything like retail wow, xiv, or any modern MMOs. Character progression is slower and much more linear and a bunch of the the classic RPG flavor that was lost in the expansions is still there.

The reason why locks have shard farming and hunters have arrows/pet food is because they are the best at soloing. It's easier to farm with them but in exhange they have to do a little more farming than other classes.

Only real issue with feral is that you have to be super tryhard with consumes + gnomer farming for damage, and hitting Rank 13 for bis tanking gear. Then you have to find a guild that is willing to give you certain key early items like Band of Accuria, and even Drakefang to an extent, or you'll be stuck wearing devilsaur for dps forever. It's basically more of a time commitment than main tanking but with none of the gear funneling + everyone makes fun of you.

There's more to wow than raids.
