Every boss is weak to a prosthetic tool that they expect you to cheese it with

Mainly defense. Souls game you could get away with dodge roll spam for I frames out the ass and in this game you can't and have to mix up blocks, dodges and jumps to not take damage.

Also you have to be aggressive on bosses and mini bosses to make use of the posture mechanic to your advantage

it's not really soulslike other than some level design things you should probably just try it out somehow before buying

This game is only hard because they make stealth a handicapped system that will ultimately alert the enemies to you. It's also really fucking hard to track what enemies are where or their visual range, so in essence the difficulty comes from it being kind of shit at these mechanics... Actual combat is press L1 at the right time to win, and from a DMC5 player that's just not a challenge at all.
