If overwatch supposedly died overnight, how do you explain the over 100k viewers watching OWL right now?

im sure you still hear about it occasionally, the animated shorts are still immensely popular. and the thing about overwatch is that its nothing but one giant marketing ploy. The esports is doing decent, and people love to talk about characters and their shorts, but the actual game is relatively abysmal with one new map and character once every 3 months and its plagued with balance issues and frustrating metas that the devs just cant seem to change

Blizzard cares more about the esport for the game than the actual game now, sadly.

If someone spends millions and millions of dollars to create a league out of thin air, spending a few thousand on viewbots over the course of a year is literally chump change so they can post that stat on their media for future years and sponsorship shit. More than pays for itself.

dude the dps is like extremely overtuned
you die in two shots to fucking anything, you literally cannot wander EVER because your knees will instantly explode if you stray from behind your immortal tank meatshields
and their health doesnt go down because the supports have been buffed through the fucking ceiling and continually powercrept by new releases more than any other role because the dev team is/was full of healslut shitters who want rewards just for existing

like the difference between this and something new like apex is astounding, youre actually allowed to make aggressive individual plays and extended gunfights actually exist because a random goddamn croquet ball wont tear your heart out of your fucking chest if you try to go through the single fucking chokepoint the map has

One of OW's biggest problems is the massive amount of healing. Burst damage and oneshots are the ONLY way to kill someone. And it fucking sucks and ruins the game.

Lack of game mode variety
Horribly designed OP new herows filled with tons of CC abilities

This, I swear nobody else fucking talks about it but theres just been a constant healcreep in overwatch thats caused this huge problem where you actually cant do jack shit as a solo player because healers are way too effective.

This was already becoming a problem as soon as Ana was released and could just toss a bionade at anyone to basically make them immune to anything but full team burst damage but at least Ana had more apparent weaknesses and took more effort to play. But no, instead of toning shit like that down they just made the problem worse. Rather than tone Ana down to Mercy's level, lets just fucking buff mercy's heal stream! Thatll show em!

You try to flank someone with Tracer or Genji? Too bad, Moira throws an orb and Brigette smacks you around a few times, now YOURE dead instead.

There shouldnt be heroes who can DPS, heal massive amounts of health, AND cc all at the same time.

This is actually the core reason why solo play is not rewarded whatsoever in OW and the core reason the game is so frustrating. It doesnt matter how good you are, if your teammates suck you just lose.

Don’t listen to anyone giving specifics, the truth is it was a shitty normalfag game (all competitive multiplayer games are) and as normalfags are fickle lemmings they of course moved to the next thing they will abandon in a week. Really, it’s surprising it even lasted as long as it did.
