It is extremely difficult to hide the black streaks in your aura after you diablerize someone. And they last a long time depending on... Either your humanity or the generation of the vampire you diablerized, I forget which.

Either way, yes. Diablerie is basically the biggest crime in Cammy space and even vampires that don't 'abide' (like Anarchs) will hunt down Diablerists like nobody's business. Diablerie is a huge deal. Even without any mechanics, vampires who diablerize make other vampires feel uncomfortable around them, instinctively.

Every time a vampire turns a human into a vampire, that new vampire is 1 "generation" after the vampire that turned them.

So Caine turns someone = They're 1st gen. 1st gen vampire turns someone = They're 2nd gen. And so on.

Each generation is basically the same as the last, except less powerful.

But at some point the blood becomes so diluted that they aren't really "full" vampires. Instead they're just shitty sort-of-vampires with shitty half-baked non-powers and in general they work a bit different from those that are "fully" vampires. These are called "thinbloods".

When you write for a game, you're also writing for the characters, their motivations, etc.
You're also writing for every scene that happens in the game, where it takes place, what's happening, which characters are there, who's talking to who, how they interact etc.
The Witcher 3 is filled with HUNDREDS of these moments that show the devs are not only extremely mindful of what makes a scene interesting but also pleasing. Some examples, Dandelion bailing you out of jail in B&W if you get a bad end, the reintroduction of Shani in Hearts of Stone, how your different friends mingle with eachother when they meet etc.

Planescape Torment, Pathologic and the vague references you make to VNs don't have that level of storytelling, so no they do not have better writing.

There isn't anything for that. I never mentioned Diaberlizing anyone. Thinbloods can still grow their blood pools to increase their strength like all other generations, they're just really bad at getting the blood to do so, particularly when they start off.

What the fuck are you talking about? Vampires don't 'grow' blood pools. Your blood pool is based on your gen, which, for you, is extremely high, meaning you'll have fuck all for blood.
No matter how much xp you get and spend, your blood pool stays the same.
