Reminder that video games have been shit since 2003
9/11 marks the downward spiral of the western society
The terrorist won in the end
I miss demo discs
I would love playing any recent games using this aesthetic in a not-cheap manner
You are wrong about that.
That terrorist attack did nothing.
What caused all the havoc was the reaction of the "West", which is ultimately rooted in some sort of American superiority/inferiority complex.
The downward spiral began when there wasn't a common enemy for the "West" left to stand against.
So when Gorbachov's people "tore down that wall".
That's why Bush called out that "War on Terror", and it failed massively.
The media are currently trying the same thing with Russia/Putin again.
Trump is a faggot, but by far not the biggest problem. Clinton would have been even worse.
The world won't get any better, might as well end it now
Or hope elon musk made it to mars soon
Reminder that you have shit taste in games
it's pretty hard to reconstruct considering retro indies do 2d because it's easier and devs with bigger budget make 3d look good. early 3d is an aesthetic forever lost in time.
>Indies finally make a retro 3D game
>Make everything 80s with bright lights and grid textures like it's fucking Tron
>Everyone likes it even though it doesn't look like anything that ever existed
>implying halo was good
You just reminded me I have years worth of Playstation magazines from the 90s in a box in my attic. I fucking loved getting those every month with demo discs and cheat codes for ps1 games.
2004 was great year in gaming.
brute force was the shit, I played that demo disc so many times
The only things that kinda sucked about it was the fact that the Shrike levels took forever and that you couldn't use the unlockable multiplayer characters in the single player missions.
The most recent game that (sort of) has this aesthetic is Consortium.
Too bad the sequel is in eternal early access hell.
>The Jewish elite behind the Mossad agents who organized Saudi terrorists to carry out the attack won in the end.
FTFY
>implying Halo wasn't good
You shat your diapers again granpa.
They gave F.E.A.R. 9.0, because they've expected much more.
speed freak was pretty good
>Consortium
It wasn't the bugs and crashes what made me drop it. It was the fucking shit writing. The references and the backstories were fucking cringe.
It was a nice concept but that's all.
Brute Force was a fantastic game
I expected some level design and more colours, desu
Just shows weebs never liked games. They only wanted filler between anime seasons.
They expected car chases and helicopter fights, like they showed them on e3
They priced graphics, AI and combat
Brute Force had potential, but typical Microsoft killed it out of the gate. A game with Tex and the Lizard dude could've been incredible. Them as bountyhunters going through space.
Fear really does not deserve more than that, very bland levels and time of failed jump scares, subpar story involving the protagonist.
I didn't saw that. Link?
lol. 18 years later and you still haven't figured it out. You'll always be behind what's actually happening. You either didn't even have a functioning brain during 9/11 or were pro-war. People like you will always, always be fodder.
i unironically still subscribe to OXM because its still around
>Brute Force
I was just thinking about that game the other day. I wonder what happened to my copy, because I don't recall selling it, but I don't have it anymore either.

You can also find a lot of that unused stuff on special edition disc on both game and bonus discs
>Halo
>Ghost Recon
>Blood Omen 2
>Mortal Kombat
>KOTOR
Seems like a pretty good lineup.
>The media are currently trying the same thing with Russia/Putin again.
Putin is doing that just fine without the media's help. Crimea was entirely him, and the Russian astroturfing of Facebook was proven.
>Trump is a faggot, but by far not the biggest problem. Clinton would have been even worse.
I really doubt that. Hillary would've been bad but Trump has been just as corrupt yet far more embarrassing, and he's done a lot of damage to consumer and environmental protections.
9.0 is a fine score for FEAR. Its a good shooter with good mechanics and technology, but the levels do get repetitive and boring even though the game isn't that long.
>>Blood Omen 2
block block block
hit hit hit
repeat as necessary
wow such great gameplay
Brute Force was kino
>Forgetting Brutus' name
I'm pretty sure I still have this exact demo disc somewhere.
Fuck, man.
Demo discs, man. Fucking loved getting those in the OPM back in the day. Loved when they switched over to PS2 demo discs. That first one they put out for E3 was awesome. Had the cool 360 video of the event you could control. They even did this weird extra level for Half Life on PS2. It didn't really go anywhere and just ends, but it was a neat thing to see game information being put on a demo disc that is used by turning on the game and swapping the discs to read the info to get more stuff in the game.
I remember Tex was the Human dude, Brutus was the Alien Lizard, Hawk was the Stealth chick, but I can't remember the name for the sniper cyborg girl.
Flint
>Blood Omen 2
Loved that game on PS2
