What went wrong?

its shit

its shit

its shit

Its shit

Not much really. It just needs more maps and legends. I've had way more fun playing it then I ever did Overwatch.

It's hip

it's a br

its shit

It's an FPS BR so it just died fast like every other fps br except pubg(the first big one) and fortnite(extremely unique in comparison to the norm).

>run around for 30 mins doing nothing
>either shot some crackers or get killed by some Vietnam War Veteran

I rather play Team Fortress or Battlefield.

This
I never got the appeal of BR games

>free2play battle royale game
>hurr what went wrong?

hmmmmmmmmm, let me think

Normies love socializing and BR games encourage it. You also get a decent rush from finally winning a game after losing over and over again. Otherwise they're pretty underwhelming.

the random loot also gives mass appeal because it means even unskilled players have a chance at dominating if they find the right items

Fake hype

Ran out of shill budget with Ninja

Its good but needs more weapons to spawn

A game that apes the great gunplay of titanfall 2 still has everyone spawn without a single gun, doesn't let them run along walls and has limited weapon variety.

Simple fix; drop everyone with a P2020 and remove it from the world's spawns. Wall running is a lost cause cause the normies wouldn't like it and the world doesn't have enough flat walls. Finally, more weapons (most of them literal ports from TF2) are a simple addition.

ITS SO BORING HOLY SHIT

the BR market is too saturated:
PUBG for people who want more realistic graphics and will pay to play
There's several options for above people who don't want to pay (ROE, Blackout etc.)
Fortnite for everyone else

It's just pointless to make another BR
Realm Royale had a unique mechanic in crafting, but they screwed it up so it doesn't count

How do we make battle royale games not boring?

have sexy times

get rid of the battle royale part.

try winning retard

its shit

decent core concept and massive contradictory design logic
focusing on having "power fantasies" yet don't try to enforce their lazy arse pull excuses for bad design like "early game guns" when if a mozam is early game, why are late game guns spawning stacked on top of each other for 3-4 squads at the beginning to stomp the remaining unlucky ones?
Supposedly this game has high TTK, to encourage teamwork, but where the fuck those journalists were playing (possibly console?) iunno cos everyone I see is getting downed within a second by single enemy.

Smaller map, more players

crashes every 2 seconds
million bugs
and some legends are useless

if every character were wraith the game would have fairly high ttk

>source game
>removed bunnyhopping
dead on arrival

Needs a solo mode to make playing when not with friends bearable. The pings don't do it. Also needs another map and ideally if to be competitive at all in any single way them everyone should start with a basic gun like maybe a P2020 to stop the initial rush being so RNG based.

But BRs already win over the retards.

melee is literally more effective than a p20

hoo, well if you insist

How the fuck are you going to take a month and a half to release some updates that are absolutely lackluster
BRs live and die by their updates. Fortnite is alive because it updates weekly and it's very consumer friendly. Apex doesn't get shit and the battle pass is atrocious
It just depends on shroud and dizzy for popularity at this point. Everyone else went back to fortnite

After playing 5 rounds of Apex and thinking it was complete AIDS, we learnt to drop in straight away, and then suddenly it's infinitely more entertaining

Make everyone bullet sponges, the instant kill thing made it boring and unrewarding for most people

Honestly I'd rather have it be cashing in kills at supply beacons to get decent guns over anything else. And you can make their ammo limited like the kraber and mastiff (which both don't really deserve to be exclusively hidden away).
The other problem is the amount of power you get does not match the amount of survivability and variety of legend abilities in the game. The only ones that matter are the ones that shut down attackers in self-defense.

PUBG isn't FPS

It seems like they honestly didn't expect the game to succeed, so they've had to scramble to come up with content people would like.
The Battle Pass and repeatable content is very lacking.

>e-everyone that plays BRs are retards
>still can't win a game
you're not just retarded you're also a shitter

Yes it is. Also third person, depending on what you choose.

These are EA shills pretending to appear as a "discord raid". Don't fall for the spam. This game actually is pure garbage.

Originally and predominantly third person

Just make arena shooters great again

I don't think you realize that I was only prodding at your lack of a comma

2xHealth on heavy character 1,5x with light ones. 2x more players per map. Make melee 2x more powerfull. Add solo mode

There your game is completely fixed. no need to thank me

Attached: 1551941525390.jpg (1402x789, 326K)

this is why you lose

>60 damage per melee
no
Least of all because of that weapon switch exploit that let you rapid-kick enemies to death. That might have been fixed if the patch notes are accurate, but still
I'd rather melee is faster by default instead.

They were supposed to bring balance to the Fortnite not leave the industry divided

Make the downtime in between fights more fun.

If only someone could come up with a way to make movement in FPS fast and fun.

Unfortunately, UT got canned for fortnite and the shmepic shmames shmore

I think the simple problem with downtime is the scale of the map allows people to be spread out and do decent engagements, but the drop method clumps 50% of the players up in the first three or four drop zones and leaves the entire map sparse and empty.
Radical Heights honestly did better by forcing some spread apart spawns and zoning the map so you had fewer directions people could go in but towards players.

Bring players into contact with each other sooner. Problem is that you can't make the map too small or it will both be too much of a clusterfuck and will get old quick, plus large maps means you can have long distance engagements in a variety of environments, which help diversify equipment / classes and define their niches.

One way to do this with big maps is to have vehicles that are semi-guaranteed to come into play somewhere in the middle of the game so that people can find each other quicker or outrun an extremely quickly shrinking death zone. Have people spawn into the map closer together and not completely up to their choice so that fights are much more likely to break out early before a breather in between (as opposed to BRs usually being downtime first and fights later). Then after those initial fights it shifts towards some vehicle play as they move to the final circle without long wait times in between. Titanfall had potential being a setting with TITANS, but then it had no Titans. And the maps are mostly open fields so the parkour elements were completely gutted.

People who complain about being killed quickly in these BR games where your effective health is already several times the usual modern military shooter standard are your typical boomers who have been spoiled by easy old games where they don't have to think very much about their positioning and how to move around without being an easy target.

One of the worst netcodes to ever exist in an online multiplayer game
