Without spoiling too much the main character being built up to fail. But making friends along the way that rally to him so it never felt like a copout.
Plus the literal world building was cool.

I'm split on Okami. On one hand, it was way too easy. On the other, if it was challenging, you wouldn't really feel like the god of the sun, would you?

Personally, I think Okami was just right. I wouldn't have liked for it to be frustrating at all. It was exactly what it needed to be.

It's because they held back on fleshing out its action so it could be more laid back like a Zelda title. If there ever is a sequel they should refine the combat to be more like what Platinum/Kamiya is known for. That kind of action mixed with its famous world and exploration would be killer.

I'm not asking for DMC difficulty, but when I replayed it at the end of last year to get some nostalgia, there was a distinct emptiness I got from fighting enemies and bosses. I'd even just appreciate a difficulty option that shifted numbers.
