this means the game has incredible momentum issues and will always be predictable as FUCK at a top level.
Oh and plus all of the 8 second animations you have to watch every time someone does literally any combo means not only is the game predictable, but takes waaay fucking longer than it should

not true at all because unlike Marvel this game resets after every ko, so there aren't incoming mix-ups that put you in a blender. So after getting one character killed you would then have access to Sparking lvl2, and even if the opponent tries to counter with sparking yours would last longer.
DBFZ might be retarded but is actually pretty fair. The only time you pretty much know things are over is when you have only 1 character vs 2 or 3 because assists and dhc's are pretty important for damage in this game. Especially now that the multiple lvl1's got nerfed.

I was there in person watching grand finals and it was so fucking boring and predictable. I started writing down who took the first character and how often they took the match.

an expendable rage state that only activates at like 30% health that can be blocked/ducked/sidestepped is about as fair as a comeback mechanic can be. And because oki is not as insane as it is in 2d fighters, mashing it on wakeup is often a very bad move and you rarely see it at a high level. Can you name a more balanced comeback mechanic?
