About UWP? Yes. The big push that lead Valve to port Steam to Linux and make their whole SteamOS thing is that they saw Microsoft could make UWP mandatory on new versions of Windows, meaning Steam would be required to sell games through the Windows Store and thus need to give them a percentage of every sale.
