Im no leaker/insider but I do live in japan and Ive noticed something that could lead to a theory.
Every now and then, 7/11 gets themed merch/loterry and a months or two before the reveal of Joker in smash, there was a persona theme going on. And recently the theme was Kingdom Hearts in said 7/11 stores.
Idk, what do you guys think?
Take note that I dont personally want Sora in Smash nor do I like KH and that the KH promotion was going on around the time of KH3's release.

My point was mostly because the Persona5 promo was out if the blue, there was no announcement about anything persona related, they usually do this when something related will come out/be announced in the near future. I did however mention that the KH promo could simply linked to the KH3 release
