>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
Playing Blaster Master Zero 2 and looking forward to the Tangledeep patch that'll fix the save corruption bug.
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
Besides the ones everyone is going to point out, Bloodroots seemed neat.
>playing
baba is you
>interested
cuphead, didn't get it on steam/pc yet as was waiting for the dlc, seems like now there'll end up being a physical version with dlc for switch at some point (devs hinted at physical release soon)
been playing baba is you when I have some downtime
interested in cadence of hyrule but not sure if I should play the first game or wait
Looks like they're pretty different games besides the moving to the beat gameplay. Crypt is a roguelike and Cadence looks more like an action adventure.
I think Inti Creates might be my new favorite studio
Have they ever made a bad game?
Well im happy about nuclear throne, the switch is starting to look a lot like a good part of my steam library im more excited about the konami collections i just wish we had a normal virtual console, i hope something motivates capcom to put more mega man games on swicth
I'm waiting to see if that's true. if cadence has a roguelike mode I'll probably just wait
Got West of Loathing a while ago, finally started it a few days ago. Really liking it so far! Haven't had the chance to play Cuphead yet, so I'm excited to finally get to play it on Switch
Mighty No. 9 and Dragon Marked for Death
Master Mode on BOTW.
>Mighty No. 9
can we really blame them for this?
Nah because they made Mighty Gunvolt Burst.
It's kind of hard to blame them for MN9.
>Playing
Cabela's the Hunt
>Interested in
Sniper Elite III
Is there anything worth getting from the current indie sale? Everything that's 90% off looks like bottom-of-the-barrel trash and I already bought Romancing SaGa 2 for 50% since I see the series recommended a lot in JRPG threads
>Mfw playing Baba is You
The game's definitely addicting but it ain't helping me with my already low self-esteem
Minit's been fun so far
Currently playing Hollow Knight.
The Red Lantern looks pretty cool, although I'm not a fan of rouge games. Hmm
See, I'm a fan of roguelites but I'm not a fan of artsy fartsy MUH DEPRESSION indie games. I wish they'd have picked a genre and stuck to it instead of mixing roguelites with Gone Home, I feel they'd have gotten at least one audience instead of alienating both.
>World of Final Fantasy
Why did people hate this game again? It's pretty cute and fun to me so far.
I hate it because it didn't spawn near enough porn of that thing.
Playing Chocobo Dungeon.
It's like a pact with the devil though. The buddy system makes things a lot more fun, but they redubbed and redid a lot of scenes which is one of the reason I loved the original.
Fuck
>Nindies
I got Blaster Master Zero 2, haven't played it yet though.
>Playing
Just finished XB2, it was pretty good, will start with Torna soon. Also playing Baba is You and Dead or Alixe Xtreme 3. I also bought The Missing J.J. Macfield, the latest game from Swery, I will most likely play it this weekend.
>Looking Forward to
Astral Chain, which, now that DMC V is out and was great, has become my most anticipated game from 2019. Daemon X Machina if they make some improvements, and also hoping that rumor that a new MonHun is comign to switch late 2019/early 2020 is true.
>Nindies
Cadence of Hyrule looks rad, I really liked Nectrodancer so I will most likely be getting this aswell. Blaster Master Zero II looks neat, but I will wait and see if they do some sort of physical release bundling 1 and 2.
So many games to get bros
I only anticipated getting BoxBoy next month but now theres Turok 1 + 2, Blaster Master Zero 2, Cuphead, Castlevania Collection...
I'm enjoying Hollow Knight and Baba Is You, along with Smash Ultimate and Disgaea 5.
I'm looking forward to Astral Chain, Pokemon and DQXI this year, and many other indies like Cross Code and Untitled Goose Game
As a recent Switch owner, I have a lot of games I want to play from the previous two years, like Xenoblade and Odyssey, but unfortunately I won't have money to get them this year. I miss the days when I had no responsabilities and could buy anything I wanted
Switch has been pretty lackluster for me this year. I tried deluding myself into thinking TSA wasn't shit and I picked up Baba is You and that's pretty fun, but I feel there's been too many ports this year and none that I want.
I just want Bayonetta 3 already
don't really agree, this year so far has been way better than last year and the release schedule for summer onwards looks really tight
Planning to buy the uncensored version of Scarlet.
oh, and also Puyo Puyo Esports just got a new mode which is great. The best 500 yen I've ever spent.
Earthlock is on sale again, has anyone gotten it, and how is it later on?
I know there's a demo, I've tried and it I'm still on the fence.
Don't you the-lewd Tama.
>'Uncensored'
>No nipples
>A bunch of nickle and dime shit
If the game had nudity, I'd create a proper account and import it in a heartbeat. But I care nothing for buleball barbie bullshit.
Learning how make custom themes and animations for the switch home menu, some of the ones people made are pretty alright.
Also playing Chocobo
They redeemed MN9 with mighty gunvolt burst though
>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
Hollow Knight Silk Song, Yoshi's Crafted World, Kill la Kill, Pokemon Shield, Smash DLC, Animal Crossing, that one Goose game where you can be a gigantic dick.
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
I just don't like Cuphead's art style, but I'm glad people who want to play it on the Switch can now.
What is Baba is you? Yea Forums seems to like it.
>playing Starlink
>waiting for SRWT to arrive
Starlink is actually pretty good, no idea why everyone hates it. The Arwing toy is pretty shitty tho but overall paid $15 so I can't complain.
Been switching between MHGU and BOTW
That's why I said 'for me', user. My tastes are just too particular. I'm actually hoping for Konami to bring over IGAvanias, Metal Gear Rising, and Shattered Soldier. I never get what I want, though.
Do the toys actually do something ingame or they are just collectables with dlc codes
Playing a little Diablo, waiting for Mario Maker and Animal Crossing.
>what is baba is you
Imagine if zachtronics made a pushing blocks game. It's a really good puzzle game, but it gets really hard really quick.
that's a shame
>Stealing video games
Cancer
Playing a bit of kid icarus on the retro library on the switch.
I'm definitely gonna get that Necrodancer sequel, CotN was a great ass roguelike and i'm honestly looking forward to shooting ganon in the face too the rhythm of the level. it's probably gonna have retard hard modes like the equivalent of fuckin Coda too.
Yoku's Island Express - yay or nay? Demo was fun but I wonder if it gets repetitive
How long is it
>playing
splat demo and a bit of tetris and smash
>wanting to play
probably going to buy BOTW soon, and probably splat2 if I keep having fun with it. also going to play ff7 when it comes out though lord knows where i'm going to find the time to play all this stuff
I also recently got a physical Okami copy and bought Out Run, which are what I'm playing right now. Fuckin' LOVE Out Run.
Any other recommendations? I've got about $18 in eshop money burning a hole in my account.
>They dubbed and redid a lot of scenes
I'm not surprised, but I'm still disappointed.
I just recently got a switch
I got 2 games
>legend of Z girl, boobs of the wild
I liked it, finished it, had a lot of fun playing it
>slippery smash brothers ultimate
It was OK. I didn't have as much fun as I was expecting - but that's probably more me than the game's fault.
That's all the games I've played so far. What should I get next?
Animated Jigsaws Japanese Women
Been playing Gen Ultimate finally made it into G rank wondering what I will make for my G rank set.
Shit, I didn't mean to link to that first post.
you have good taste in vidya so it's all good
The toys are glorified amibos, you only need to connect them once then you can do with them whatever you like. Actually Amibos use NFC, I guess they are a shitty poorfag Amibos.
>I've got about $18 in eshop money burning a hole in my account.
Get either Hollow Knight or Baba is You, depending if you're more into Metroid or puzzle games.
>digital games are cheaper and have sales more frequently
>but are less comfy and take up more space
such is the struggle of man
If you liked Deltarune at all, consider getting Undertale (unless you've already got it on PC).
>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
I'm alternating between Pokemon Pikachu and Bayonetta 1
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
I didn't watch it, but I heard CupHead was being ported (i already beat it in 2017 on pc though).
I'm SO looking forward to Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion 3, just those two would make this year better than 2018 (which had smash and the Tropical Freeze port, which was my reason to buy the Switch). Apart from those 2, Astral Chain has everything in its favor to become one of my most anticipated games and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will be great with friends
playing BOTW
waiting for SMTV
Glav is a good set and fun to do, looks baller as well.
Thanks for the tip I do love fight Glav any other sets you recommend?
The original dub was great, good direction and hamminess. This is a by the book dub, no charm.
>didn't play a Nintendo first party game since New Leaf
>try out the Yoshi's Crafted World demo out of boredom
>it's relaxing and very nice
I might get this.
>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
My copy of Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon arrives next week. Also looking forward to Astral Chain, Daemon X Machina, Atelier Lulua, Animal Crossing and any other VN and weeb game that gets localized since I use my Switch as a weeb machine.
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
Cuphead and Blaster Master.
What the hell is this and why does it look better than Link's Awakening. I am concern about the weird music mechanic.
>Turok
Never played it before, but I really like it.
Forgot pic...
Has anyone done the master challenge in Master mode in botw? I managed to one shot it on normal but the beginning trials are insane.
>Playing
I haven't played my Switch in awhile but I'm hopefully starting LEGO DC Super Villains soon
>Looking forward to
Team Sonic Racing looks better by the day and I don't really play MK8D anymore, so that's is a day one purchase for me
>playing
Im playing comfy portable Starlink on my switch right now, jumping between it and Isaac Afterbirth
>interested
Fire Emblem and some Indie things here and there
>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
Playing Smash. I'm waiting for Mario Maker 2.
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
I never beat Cuphead so I'll get it for Switch.
>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
Blaster Master Zero is one of my favourite games of all time, I am FUCKING ECSTATIC, and it's been pretty good so far. Aside from that, I'm playing some Splatoon after not having played in a while, along with some Mario Kart and Smash with my brother.
Looking forward to Kill la Kill, Astral Chain, Daemon X Machina, Gunvolt iX, Bayonetta 3, Animal Crossing, and perhaps Dragon Marked for Death physical, still undecided on that one based on the very mixed opinions. Konami collections should be cool, as much as I love Castlevania I'm more interested in the Contra one as I've not got to play those yet.
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
Not watched it, might for a bit of fun, but BMZ 2 is all I needed to hear about. I fucking love Inti.
>but I will wait and see if they do some sort of physical release bundling 1 and 2.
When did they annouce the Striker Pack for Gunvolt? You'd think they'd annouce a physical version along with the second game, but I can also see them annoucing it in like a year if the second one gets a bunch of DLC like the first did.
Shit's tough as fuck because of the regenerating health.
Nuclear Throne! Really happy it's out on Switch, I've been playing it nonstop.
why dis shit b 400$ senpai
Started playing Celeste again, got all B-sides and going into C-Sides. Some of them can fuck right off.
I've been playing Lego city undercover. It is a fun 3d platformer with an open world elements. I wish the cars were faster, and also with you could jump off waves when riding boats.
I'm really looking forward to Saints row The third coming to switch
yoku's island express
Cuphead and the zelda roguelike Cript of the necromancer whatever is called.
Crypt of the Necrodancer is the unholy fusion of proceduraly generated roguelite with rhythm games.
The music for Crafted World is really making me not want to get it.
Nintendo tax.
>playan
Going through DOOM in hard mode, it's easier than I remember.
>looking forward to
I can't be assed to import the ace attorney collection, but I'm looking forward to play those games for the first time.
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
My Friend Pedro looks rad even if the first trailer was five times better. I never liked Cuphead but this could mean Ori is getting ported, which is one of my favorite games.
worst thing is that the music they used in this comercial is fucking rad
youtube.com
I love my Switch!
If you fail to follow the rhythm do you die?
>The Red Lantern
>rouge games
I see what you did there
No, but it will be extremely painful.
I bought a switch two weeks ago and I'm loving it but I'm sorta scared my joycons will die after half a year.
Don't worry about it, it will eventually happen. Think of it as a tool to play your Switch and tools are meant to be replaced. Of course they can be fixed for pretty cheap but who really cares when they come in colorful colors.
You'll probably just have the drifting stick problem caused by dust getting under the rubber flap. Should be able to fix it with compressed air or some electronics cleaning solution.
lol whoops
I played the demo, not a bad game but it was kind of boring. It screams 90's Final Fantasy VII knock off, which it kind of was really. Now it's finding a last gasp at life presented essentially as a retro inspired title. It's like you've seen everything it has to offer before in PS1 era JRPGs, though it's from a Western developer so it has a different stylistic flavor which may enough of a selling point for some people. All in all it's not a bad game and some love was put into it by it's creators, but it's not going to blow your mind either.
>playing
Hyrule Warriors, I still fucking love this game. Trying to force myself to play portable more because i'm a lazy shit that hates swapping cartridges when docked. Anyone have any non dangerous charger recommendations that isn't that short official one?
I dropped my right joycon, it's cracked open and I can easily wiggle the ZR button out, and it still works perfectly.
Currently playing Tales of Vesperia and looking forward Dragons Dogma port and Pokemon Shield.
I’m just watching it right now, 3 mins in and getting CupHead for sure.
anyone else double dip and get Nuclear throne? whats your controller layout? I tried setting swap to B but I dont know where to put pickup. and the shoulder buttons suck
>Playing
Tetris 99
>Interested
Creature in the Well
How is the Tales port?
Pretty damn good, no complains.
Playing: Octopath, finishing up Chapter 4's.
Looking forward to: Mario Maker 2
Nindies Direct: Most of it.
>Playing
Stardew Valley
>Looking forward to
Pokémon, Animal Crossing, and mostly FFCC Remastered
>Dragons Dogma port
What the fuck its real
And it didn’t suffer from the Switch tax, it’s been up for preorder for $30.
I’ve been enjoying Turok quite a bit. Never did bat it as a kid; I thought it was too scary.
You guys are going to buy Ballsack-chan's game right?
IS NUCLEAR THRONE BETTER THAN ENTER THE GUNGEON?
Seriously, ETG has high ratings but it so hard its just not fun, it really burned me. I love Issac, but ETG is a shitshow in comparison.
Dragon Marked for Death is great.
Yeah, I bought Xenoblade 2 day one.
It's not Xenoblade baka!
What is her game then user?
I’m looking forward to a double dip I wasn’t expecting
スーパーロボット大戦T
I'll get it eventually, fuck ballsack-chan though, gimme that REIAAAAAAAAAAAASU
Just beat Deadbolt a couple of minutes ago, it was fun as fuck. I implore everyone to give it a try if they haven't already, it's a true gem.
I'm looking forward to that Katana Zero game, and the Pedro one.
kinda disappointed they didn't announce Hotline Miami today, I would love to play those games on the go
>unironically liking Clamp shit
You must be some sort of faggot.
>magical girls
>giant fucking robots
>that OST
The only faggot here is you.
nuclear throne controls like fucking ass with the joycons
Girls and giant robots just don't go together.
>replying with the man who's voice shakes the universe itself
Well that's hardly fair, men are clearly better yeah, but girls can be okay.
Reminder that Alpha Dream is working on Switch and PS4 games
It’s possible we’ll get a new console Mario and Luigi soon. Which I’m really looking forward to.
I just hope faggots don’t try to undermine it because it’s not Paper Mario
Fire Emblem finally coming out, Astral chain looks good, and maybe an update on SMT V next week
Playing the only game I like on this God forsaken no games console, botw. I'm buying a ps4 in two weeks ffs.
I have Konami collection questions:
Which gaems are CLASSICvania and which are METROIDvania?
Which MYSTERYvanias would Yea Forums expect on the castlevania collection?
Will there be 2 castlevania collections? I think the upcoming castle collection is labeled '#1'
>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
Playan 2K19 and looking forward to goose game. Stoked to see the Clips make the playoffs
>game has amazing art and promotional material
>In-game art looks shitty Western mobile game tier or 8-bit trash
Why do people do this
Theyre both harder and i dislike them both for that.
Gungeon is also slower paced than isaac, frustratingly.
I hate saying this but can a decently paced rogue like come out thats better than isaac already
Just bought a switch recently, currently I have 4 games:
Super Mario Party
Smash
Captain Toad
Xenoblade 2 (the season pass as well)
Any suggestions of what I should get first from my wishlist? I'm thinking of both Overcooked, but I'm open for suggestions. dekudeals.com
They've been doing that since video games were invented you absolute nimrod
Get Zelda
Everything else is sort of an acquired taste
Overcooked is fun though
>few days left
>Which gaems are CLASSICvania
Castlevania 1-4
>which are METROIDvania
Most everything from Symphony of the Night onward
The first half of the collection is already confirmed to be Castlevania 1 through 4, the other four unannounced games will probably be Symphony of the Night and the three GBA games but no one knows for sure.
You're not looking hard enough. Try e621.
I'd avoid, user. It's worst entry in the series, full of microtransaction bullshit and performance is a bit spotty---Vita version ran better at a marginally noticable lower resolution.
Just play through Paradise on PSP (or emu) and keep the fond memories you may/may not have of the series intact.
>already confirmed to be Castlevania 1 through 4
Isn't it GB CV2, ie. not Simon's Quest.
>Castlevania 1-4
Also dude, you can't leave out Rondo, Bloodlines, Adventure Rebirth, Chronicles, and whatever else there is.
Of that list I can vouch for:
Baba is You if you like block pushing and programming puzzles
Bayonetta if you like action games
Breath of the Wild (expansion pass isn't really worth the price IMO. But if you end up enjoying Xenoblade 2, that game's expansion is definitely worth getting)
Monster Hunter is only worth it if you plan on paying for online, in which case I'd suggest getting Splatoon 2 as well.
How much better is the real Pro Controller compared to these fake ones I got from China? I heard the Dpad issue is fixed with the xc2 version.
thanks me buckos ur good peoples
Doom, and I'm interested in double dipping on Cuphead. Honestly it's the perfect game for this platform.
Are the controls for nuclear throne similar to gungeon? I see people are saying they controls are ass on switch but I got around 90 hours on gungeon so if it handles similarly I think I'll be fine
Just finished a Breath of the wild run. First time I wanted to rush right to Ganon to see if it would be challenging, but everyone said I was "playing it wrong" and "I wasn't getting the full story" so I did a full run with all divine beasts and all memories. And I have to say I was even more disappointed. The game was insultingly easy, to the point where it dragged my experience down. Before I even beat the first divine beast I was killing Lynels left and right. I genuinely can't believe that half your abilities can completely break their AI. Anything above a regular lynel should not be susceptible to timestop. It's embarassing.
To impose a bit of a challenge on myself, I limited myself to 3 hearts, so any hit would be fatal. Not only did I barely get hit, but I happened to find a grinding spot for hearty durians off the coast of the faron tower, which basically just gave me infinite hearts to tank any damage I did take. So overall, the experience was a great disappointment. I don't even need to get into how much of a disappointment the story was. Bunch of useless champions dying to blights (which I didn't die to once if I recall), a retard princess who breaks down and cries because her special snowflake gift is faulty, the whole idiocy of the shiekah technology being used against ganon, when they barely even understood how to control them in the first place. Frankly I wanted to see all of Hyrule die just because half these people are too stupid to live.
The game was also sprinkled with smaller, but equally grating annoyances, like how the gerudo still hate all men even though you literally risk your ass to stop Vah Naboris. I guess the little bitch of a queen took all the credit, while I just get spat on. And people call this a 10/10 game. My ass.
hittin' some janky links
What is your Switch sitting on?
what about legacy of darkness?
Thanks for the suggestions anons. I'll probably get BOTW after I'm finished with Xenoblade.
I've played quite a lot of monhun solo on the PSP, but yeah, after playing MHW online playing solo seems kind of off-putting.
I cannot think like a snake and it's embarrassing my ancestors.
First few levels were fun but the camera is getting in the way of the platforming now.
Is that the PS2 one? That's 3D, as are the N64 ones.
Just waiting to get my Switch out of maintenance to play Blaster Master, Startropics and FE1.
I bought BotW and I'm not having fun, is something wrong with me?
What is FE1?
Fire Emblem, it's out on the Japanese NES Online.
I didnt have fun either primarily due to the stamina mechanic and the bland world.
its N64.
is it metroid-esque or its own animal?
I don't know to be honest, not played those and I don't remember what I've heard.
>to challenge myself, I limited myself to 3 hearts
>found a grinding spot for hearty durians which gave me infinite hearts to tank any damage
what
I figured to myself "I just won't collect heart containers" but then I find out that the game trivializes them anyway. So my run was pretty much ruined. That wasn't taking into account the OP armor upgrades that can block almost all damage, the champion abilities that trivialized not only exploration, but combat as well. My favorite though? Even IF I died, like from accidentally forgetting to deploy my glider in time, I don't lose progress. the game autosaves more than your average ass creed installment, so I don't suffer any penalties from rushing in and trying to kill a guy with insuffient weapons. There's no sense of loss from screwing up, so there's no sense of achievement from jumping over these miniscule hurdles.
>Whatcha playing and looking forward to bros?
currently playing chocobo's dungeon. is it just me, or did they make the firebird boss WAY harder than the original wii version?
looking forward to dqxi s, link's awakening, the grandia remasters, and rune factory 4 special.
>Anything from todays Nindies Direct tickled your fancy?
cadence of hyrule looked interesting to me.
>playing
bloodborne while i wait for Sekiro. HOWEVER, once I beat sekiro I will play Torna
>looking forward to
Tales of vesperia, FFXII the zodiac age, FF crystal chronicles (all on the switch)
