For the same cost to Epic, they could have left shitty indie game alone, the developers would have released on whatever platforms they wanted instead of what platforms Epic said were ok, and Epic could have funded an entirely new shitty indie tier games, PC gamers would have two shitty indie games to choose from, and Epic would have a first/second party exclusive to their store. Instead of all the money they've spent paying off Outer Worlds, Metro, etc.'s publishers for exclusivity, they could have funded a game studio and brought more titles to the table.
