>cuphead comes to switch
>banjo gets in smash
>halo mcc comes to switch
>xbox gets bayo 2 and 3
>xbox gets metroid prime 3

Trying to create an alliance strong enough to keep out stadia

a future without exclusives, aka globalism in video game form

>Master Chief gets in Smash

Scalebound

nothing, this is all MS's decision, Microsoft doesn't care about consoles anymore they just care about the games they produce. Phil himself has even said that...

No, Nintendo games will still be exclusive but Microsoft games will be on Switch if you subscribe to their service.

this partnership unironically makes sense. m$ never gave a shit about the handheld market, even when they bought rare they still allowed them to make games on the gba. hell, there was suppose to be a halo game on the ds. and nintendo has always done poorly in the console market, when the gamecube and n64 was failing the gameboy was there to recoup the losses and even create a profit. with this partnership, microsoft gets to make money off of the handheld market and nintendo gets to make money off of the console market

>Western Character
>In Smash
>EVER

It's never ever, give it up, mate.

>Making a SDK which offers the Xbox Live platform on other systems
>Port big games to these systems as a beta test

Cuphead and Halo are a test for Microsofts streaming platform

yeah, in the future MS will just be another game studio, and instead of making consoles they will just offer services on other platforms, first it's PC, now it's Nintendo and Mobile devices, and maybe in like 5 years or something we'll get it on Playstation... this is all Phil's strategy since he says that you make more money from software than you do on hardware.

I want to believe. If Joker, whose game is PS exclusive, is coming Smash, anything is possible.

Why is Microsoft even making new consoles then when they're really aiming for something closer to the Stadia?

they probably won't after this gen, and if they do it would just be for convenience sake, like "your pc can't handle this" or "your internet isn't good enough to stream this game well"

A threesome

Xcloud is a service offered on top of the standard console gaming. Xcloud requires hardware identical to a console anyway, and microsoft wants to push windows 10 on devices all the same.
Stadia is focused heavily on attracting ultra casuals by offering Just Dance and Jackbox on smart TVs, while Xcloud seems to be focused on extreme portability without abandoning the experience of playing on Xbox.

Cuphead was a timed exclusive not owned by Microsoft.

Banjo is also a western character, retard.

Microsoft doesn't own this game, you're not getting anything else.

No, they will not.

wrongo

>xbox gets bayo 2 and 3
>xbox gets metroid prime 3
Pfffft hahahaha

Why is MS even making another Xbox if they're basically becoming a 3rd party developer? Without exclusives there's no incentive to buy the next Xbox.

Righto, the only you're getting is Cuphead because they don't own it.

But why even develop consoles you sell at a loss when you have your service and games on PC, tablet, and Switch?

banjo wont be in smash either
give it up

Never touched Xbox games but I loved playing halo custom edition on pc back in the day. If I could play a port of it on switch with active online and an option for good gyro controls I would buy it in a heartbeat.

(You)
*thing

They're not going third party, they don't own Cuphead so with Microsoft permission the devs can do what they want with it, Microsoft just published the game, if the game owned by Microsoft you will only see it on Xbox and Windows 10, Steam if it was outsourced.

>xbox gets bayo 2 and 3
>xbox gets metroid prime 3
You'd be lucky to get Mario NES on Xbox Gold

>No, they will not.
It's speculation

Microsoft is still pushing UWP despite leaving the phone game. They have had success with the One S/One X model and have recovered very well after a terrible launch.
Not everyone has a PC, and not everyone wants to play on a tablet or switch. Xbox will remain as a hardware standard equivalent to their streaming hardware running on Windows.

They literally said “we thank our friends at Microsoft” in the announcement

Honestly, I’d like it if xbros got Bayo.
No way in hell is nintendo handing over any staple ips, tho

Is there a link to an article or something or is this just a made up theory?

Nothing, Phill Spencer is a cuckold who believes that the world should have no borders, no walls, only one language, and Xbox games for ALL platforms, minus Nintendo and Playstation games on Xbox of course.

Poor speculation, a game not owned by Microsoft coming to Switch does not equate to Microsoft owned ips all coming to Switch.

Because Microsoft published the game but they don't own the ip.

it's a made up theory because people took a crossplay ad more seriously than it actually was. Xbox has been starting to release their stuff on other systems for the last few years, and suddenly because they're on switch everyone is like "HOLY SHIT, BEST FRIENDS BEST FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!"

Cup head for bayo2 seems like a pretty decent good faith deal.

It will take some time for the relationship to build, but there are big things on the horizon.

Will weeblards finally fall on their walmart katanas when Banjo is confirmed at E3

it's not happening, you guys are taking this shit to mean more than it actually does. Phil has said on multiple occasions that he plans to make the Xbox brand a service rather than a console competitor since you make more money off of software. This is just Phil's plan coming into action.

tendies will give nothing to xbox
Maximum is some crossplay on some shit game like fortnite.

Nope. Again, wrong. They stated like a week ago that ports are special situations unrelated to their plans for Xbox. Xcloud is a service being offered on the side of their Xbox hardware gaming platform.
The Xbox console isnt going anywhere and Microsoft isnt going 3rd party.

isn't rare a euro company though?

>“That is not where you make money,” Spencer said of consoles. “The business inside of games is really selling games, and selling access to games and content in means like that is the fundamental business. So if you open it up, the more often people can play, the more they’re enjoying the art form. It increases the size of the business.”
Phil himself has said that the direction of Xbox going forward is to focus more on providing access to the GAMES they make rather than producing consoles, Xcloud ties into that, and so do their ports.

>the GAMES they make
Microsoft makes like two games lol

Not him but this doesn't mean Microsoft is going third party, also, Cuphead was published by Microsoft, they don't own the ip.

The head of Xcloud says: "This is about giving you choice. Its not a replacement for console, we are not getting out of the console biz. This is really additive to everything we are doing."

yeah, again, they're focus going forward is to just provide more access to their games. Most likely it's like what said, they're going to focus mainly on streaming and ports but they'll still offer a console for convenience since not everyone can use those services

sony is weak right now and they intend to gang up to make them look bad. also
>microsoft gets to put games on a handheld console hybrid and make even more money from a partnership
>sony is effectively out of the contest while microsoft is playing the smart game
>the union of gamerbro's and nintendo kiddies will seek to challenge the ps4's arrogance

Plus going by the shitfest that is Google Sadia, this may end up failing anyway meaning Xbox games will remain on Xbox and Windows 10.

Phil's already laughing at Google.

Too bad that Phil dosen't know about selling games either, because all of games that this cuckold put out was trash multiplayer co-op garbage that didn't sold shit, of course.

>because all of games that this cuckold put out was trash multiplayer co-op garbage that didn't sold shit
You got any source to that claim?

OH NO! Google should have did their homework on how Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft got into the industry. This is funny as shit, Google Sadia will be dead before it even releases.

>maybe if i keep pushing a fake narrative people will believe me even after i get proven wrong
fuck off

I mean is that not what this whole "Microsoft Nintendo" thing is?

It's been dead the second people saw how bad the input lag was.

You mean you read into any of the shitposting on this site? This is just console warring.
Im speaking specifically about industry news and forecast and saying Microsoft is becoming a 3rd party company is just kid logic

Yup, and Doom Eternal had some graphical glitches and input lag to boot.

Insider tells me Master Chief is coming to Smash, and that Smash is coming to GamePass. You'll see next week.

>Bayonetta
>staple

>Switch gets gamepass
>But instead of getting Xbox games, the Switch gamepass is only for first party Nintendo games and indie games
It would be fascinating to see it would like Netflix were you get different movies depending on your region, but for this you get different games depending on what console you use.

No, Game Pass would function in a non-competitive way. No games would be offered on Game Pass that could be purchased on the host platform's digital store.
Smash would not be offered on Game Pass because it would detract from Nintendo's overall sales
