Japanese voices are the default language

>Japanese voices are the default language

Based FromSoftware

Imagine actually wanting to play some shitty generic half assed English dub in Samurai game. You can tell it wasn't the focus language like in Souls games and Japanese being default confirms it.

get a life you fucking weeb

>4 minutes long game
Imagine being a fromdrone tard

>trying this hard to hate something
Imagine being this autistic

If I was a ""weeb"" I would have played BB in Japanese but I didn't and I play in the language intended by FROM

I'm not some burger that needs some shitty dub for everything

Also all the fucking faggots that go to anime cons are mostly dubfags, maybe you're the true weeb here :^)

ベイスド アンド レッドピルド

Lurk moar

Japanese should be the default language of all humans. Nothing comes close to its effectiveness and grace.

That's actually great. I wanted to play with en voices first (since it was canon in previous games), but then changed my mind - en dub will sound out of place in sengoku.

>samurai game

Definitely playing this Japanese first, wouldn't feel right with an english dub. And I don't even watch anime.

Bloodborne didn't even have Japanese until the DLC.

It is very graceful, but I’m not sure about effectiveness.

CRACK WHEN

>Gets rid of British theatre actors for Americans voice """actors"""
Fuck Activision.

everyone will play it in Japanese anyway

fromsoft wasn't supervising the English voices like they do for previous games so it's just outsourced american garbage

>no stage actor VAs
RIP eng dub quality

Would it fit the setting though had we used british theater voice actors? Besides

>effectiveness
somthing tells me you dont study japanese

Who is voicing Genichiro? I cant remember the name, he is a popular VA.

It's not about if it "fits the setting" you doofus, it's about whether the voice acting is quality or not.

Chiming in with another
>effectiveness
Sure, it sounds great but the way it actually functions is even more retarded than English.

It only sounds good
Everything else about it is dogshit. No wonder the Japanese only repeat the same phrases over and over

>english dubs
>english dubs with absolutely no oversight from the game's directors
>American english dubs of Japanese games with absolutely no oversight from the game's directors
NOPE
YIKES
OOF
JINKIES

Well that's dumb. I as a non Japanese speaker would want to understand what characters say in a straightforward forward manner. I imagine others in the same predicament agree with me.

Subtitles, moron.
Japs did it just fine with Souls and BB.

Are Americans really so dumb they can't read subtitles?

Bosses talk to you during fights more in this game it seems. It’ll increase my chance of dying if I try to read them

I wouldn't describe reading subtitles (which takes you out of the game) as straightforward. And there is the case of some lines like stock lines the enemies say during gameplay not being subtitled.

You first, anti-weeb EOP retard.

That's good to know as I was planning to use japanese voices after hearing the comparison video.
Knowing it's the intended/default way to play is reassuring.

>some lines like stock lines the enemies say during gameplay not being subtitled
I recall one enemy in the entire Souls series that did fit this description and it was the fat inquisitor ladies in Undead Settlement.
Who cares?
>subtitles take you out of the game
Man, are you going to tell me you're one of those goblinos who can't read subtitles and watch/play at the same time?
Again, this was all absolutely fine for JP players for four fucking games.

fpbp

It's pretty obvious it would be intended, it being default just shuts down the hardcore retarded dubfags.

Bloodborne was default English for Japanese players so it's kinda expected

Do you also stop breathing when you do anything else since it might increase your chances of fucking up?

Terrible argument.

Seething single IQ retard.

Just imagine playing bloodborne without hearing the line "this town is finished".

I prefer a passive experience when watching cutscenes. Reading is work.

i can get you some for three fiddy

>Just imagine playing bloodborne without hearing the line "this town is finished".

>using BB as a example when English is the default language for Japanese and intended by FROM just like Sekiro in Japanese is

lmao

How do the Japanese feel about having to play Souls games with English voice acting?

I can imagine there will be a few dumb fuck Americans complaining about this
