2 is my favourite game and soundtrack for nostalgiafag reasons among others.

4 is okay, worth pirating with all the content i suppose, though its laughable how many content packs there are yet theres still so little actual gameplay content in reality, besides alternate set dressings or little meme mechanics you wont utilize much or at all.
too bad sims went full blast with the dollhouse route and not ya know, the simulation aspect, instead of worthwhile mechanics that enhance the simulation itself they just shit out oml vampires and linear story/adventure packs with tiny 5 lot "neighborhoods".

it's an expansion for the sims 2 that lets you open you own business you can hire and fire people or make your own little shop that you can maintain and sell whatever you want it's really good and has a lot of features added to it. shame the later games never really got to the level of OFB

Sims 1 and Sims 2 are intensely nostalgic to me, though for Sims 2 it's only nostalgic up till Seasons which is when I stopped buying expansion packs. I did buy Sims 3 though, but only the base game.

Cars are not a big loss since they're pretty meaningless items you barely see, but burglars not being there is pretty disappointing.

I remember seeing fellas who changed some of the base worlds in 4 to be more palpable. But all I ever wanted is the ability to add more lots.

There's a mod to design the workplace of different careers and have schools it was novel for a bit.

I wish cooking, fishing, and gardening were overhauled to be more complex and fun, this game has so many fucking possibilities it feels squandered and my soul turns into dust after a few hours of gameplay.

The only real joy I get is the creative process and set up for shit. Moments like making a vampire the masquerade themed nightclub and creating a vampire club that frequents it with get together, also added lot traits to attract vamp sims. Made several "clubs" that were clans like Ventrue, Nosferatu etc. Had to install that fucking mod where vamps are immune to sunlight since everyone dying started to piss me off. All the setup and after literally 20 minutes of playing it already bored me since deep down its all just artifice.

oh and what the fuck is up with how ea generates townies they always look like horrendous eyesores in my town.

Depends how you play it. Men tend to play it to build cool shit and build a successful life for their Sims
Women tend to play it as a dollhouse and start relationship drama and have sims cheat on eachother and whatever. Most expansions and Sims releases target the latter audience over the former.

Depends, I think 3 is better if you want actual gameplay like sex-related careers and stuff. 4 is good just for watching porn. There's a mod where you can be a prostitute but all you do is put on an outfit and go somewhere and then people hit you up for sex and you make a boatload of cash.

here's a little tip that still works but requires origin. you can get the sims 2 ultimate edition for free if you contact support about it, you just have to have a legal sims 2 case code. if you need one I have some cases

I find playing the game it's meant to be played living by work paychecks week to week to be incredibly difficult, especially in the Sims 1.
You don't even get days off in the original. It's soul crushing.

The Social and Room stats in Sims 1 were the worst. I made my solo sim families complete introverts just because I didn't want to deal with the Social bar going down so fucking fast all the time.

What are some must-have mods for 4?
I want mostly gameplay stuff, something that makes careers better and gives you unique actions. I wanna sneak into other sims' houses at night and rob them manually.

There are no mods for sneaking into houses, but you can force open doors with Vampire skills, allowing you to enter someones house without knocking or being given entrance.

As for robbing, Kleptomaniac trait lets you steal items, and the more Mischief skill you have, the larger the items you can steal.

One of the only real ways I've had fun in TS4 was making a klepto who stole shit and sold it in a small pawn store.

The porn mods made me genuinelly enjoy the game and I keep coming back to it from time to time. The updates really made it better but I still can't forget the sims 3.

I was going to get Whicked Whims I just don't want to go down the rabbit hole and spend days getting animation packs and required complementary mods and all that shit.

Is there a way to just get WW and like, a nude sim overhaul and be done with it?

Where's a good place to download sims and families into 4?

The thing I most hate about sims is having to make all the families and move them in and shit. I want a lot of random and different sims but I don't want to spend hours and hours making them.

It's not that hard, most of the mods are just drag and drop and animation packs already have tons of animations in them so you only really need a couple of them
