I disagree. The original VN was pretty good at introducing the setting and picking up pace after the big plot reveal. I also prefer the art style.
I also liked the story of 0 but the approach they took was a bit weird. Having to finish PR before gaining access to the short MC ending is not well executed. I also thought that certain sections were padding the length too much. X Day Protocol was kino though. Also 0 introduced Kaede which improves the game immensely.
Overall I liked the 0 VN but it could have been better. At least both endings are on par

They are though, once you hit ch5 and get an infodump on them, you see nothing but D-swords for ages and they revolve around the plot. I'll give you the whole esper shit was more prominent, but they outright expect you to know what they are and accept them existing.
In C;H Takumi goes through several chapters trying to fucking get one, and buys a fake one. He doesn't even unlock his until the very end. A couple of the girls have them but they're never outright in your face like in C;C, where it's expected you know about them because every fucking girl in C;C is secretly a Gigalomaniac (who knew after watching the OP video!). But rather they're like a mysterious weapon in C;H nobody knows about but the mysterious girls, and Takumi spends several chapters trying to find his and understand how to get one, but fails to until later.

Yeah no, C;C is only an upgrade in the pacing, art, trigger tech, music, and level of polish since C;H is old.
NoaH fixes all of this and is obviously the better game. I don't need some cuck with stockholm syndrome telling me that C;C is good, when it's complete trash in every aspect outside of those facts, especially the ending.
The ONLY thing it has going for it are the girls except Serika. The plot is trash, the twists are shit reused "muh imaginary friend" from C;H only in reverse. The bad guys are the closest adults to the MC (just like S;G), so his father and teacher being committee agents was so fucking obvious.
Serika again was a character not explored till chapter 10, so her being mysterious and the killer was literally just like C;H and Rimi being Shogun's spy.
Every single thing in this VN was shit, even the murders themselves are boring outside of his Yui's.
The pacing and budget for C;C allowed it to be higher quality, because the girls were more prominent, got routes, the music and art being better made it a pleasure to read, the delusion trigger system was refined too.
The story was underwhelming.
The murders were boring and everything was mind control in the end, the sumo sticker was a shitty plot device compared to "who's eyes are those eyes", and every twist but the last was predictable.
The reporter dying at the interview? Predictable. His imouto getting cut up because the murders supposedly ended when they didn't? Predictable. Nono being a retard and getting killed for going by herself? Predictable. Only the shitty "every KID AT THE SCHOOL WAS ACTUALLY OLD PEOPLE ALL ALONG" was unpredictable, and only because it had very low amounts of foreshadowing and it suspends disbelief.
Don't get me started on the edgy hipster MC, literally bipolar about being loyal to his family and pursuing the case. His character swings back and fourth way too much, and his development feels haphazard, compared to Takumi going off the edge of insanity.
