There's no point in steering. The game fucking puts on auto pilot. All-Star mode is so fucking unsatisfying because it strips all control from you so you're no longer racing optimally. What's worse is that once you get it, you're forced into using it.

It rewards better driving because the items aren't complete shit. If you lose it's on you, not because you got a blue shell shoved up your ass for the nth time. It also feels faster. This is coming from a Mario Kart fanboy faggot that literally grew up playing MK.
