It's a game streaming service meant to be playable anywhere, on any device, with any controller, etc. The presentation was amazing, almost too good to be true.

However:
-Requires decent internet, most people just don't or have a data cap.
-166ms of latency, ie you will fucking feel how unresponsive it is immediately.
-No mention of pricing.

The thing google is missing is that perfectly fine gaming hardware is becoming cheaper and cheaper.
Soon mobile phones will be able to do a lot of gaming just fine, it already does, hell the Switch
itself is a basically a smartphone in a box. So that only leaves the truly high-end gaming experiences that can't be
satisfied by basic consumer hardware.

Stadia is solving a problem that doesn't exist. If you buy a new laptop today you can play fortnite just fine, perfectly serviceable
and a hell of a lot less laggy than this shit.

Remember everyone NEEDS some form of display and computation device.
These things are not gonna get weaker, even on the entry-level.

Also people want to own devices. We like them.

tl;dr Devices capable of decent gaming is getting cheaper and cheaper and Stadia is solving non-existant problems.

And they do not want to enter hardware business too.
They just want to sell you services.

But problem with google is, they do not know what market wants. Searching site was fucking fluke, youtube was made by other company and google just ruining it with each new step. All other google services pretty much died after few years.

The switch is absolutely not anywhere near a " smartphone in a box". You literally need to use your phone to talk to friends over it's shit internet service that requires friend codes still. it has a shitty plastic screen that is fucking trash in comparison to any modern day phone, less HD space that any modern phone. It uses a fucking fan. Can't stream Netflix or use social media. Modern phones are 10X better than the switch.
