I'm usually against the kind of censorship they pull on Overwatch and such games, but this is true. I hated the game and played only when all of my friends were playing, usually drunk. I always went out of my way to be an asshole and never got a ban.

I got a lot of crying opponents, a lot of threats of reporting, a lot of "enjoy your ban", but never an actual ban.

The game fails on so many basic levels.
>implements a chat system that doesn't show you who else is in chat
>implements the worst of both worlds in matchmaking; no way to choose individuals gamemodes for the 4 most popular ones whilst being unable to matchmake for multiple less played gamemodes in arcade
>arcade existing in the first place when you could bundle all gamemodes together and let people pick which ones they want to matchmake for
>still no mapvoting system
>balance isn't just bad but fundamentally flawed. GOATs can only become weaker by directly nerfing GOATs characters as there's next to nothing that counters the basic mechanics of GOATs (at which point another dive / tank meta will become rampant becauce of so few mechanics that counter those strategies)

>no dedicated private servers means game game is policed by the devs like an MMO instead of the community like an online FPS
>also no comp scene outside of OWL because the game has literally nothing to support it

Which does literally nothing to tell you what an ability actually does.
For example, the screen for mei's wall will pretty much literally tell you it's a wall and nothing else.
Nothing about how many pillars it forms.
Nothing about how much hp each pillar has.
Nothing about how long it lasts for.
Nothing about whether it gives ult charge, etc. etc.
Giving some basic information about what an ability does statistically is some of the most basic shit to do in an ability based game, WC3, Diablo, WoW, hearthstone, HotS etc. all do it yet OW doesn't for fuck knows what reason.

There's a /list system to give you who else is in chat in a completely unformatted manner as well, which I still believe is objectively worse than what SC:BW managed to do twenty fucking years ago.
