3D games need a much better camera. The series needs more mission variety overall. Make enemies more intelligent and stronger, but lower the number of them a little to compensate. They should really prioritize the bosses. The girls are the selling point of the series so make fighting them memorable and more unique.

better combat, enemies and story, burst renewal was a good attempt but I think we could use more combo variation first and foremost instead of just a musou style x>x>x>x>y, give characters some bayo/dmc styled delayed hits and maybe add a grab. stop flanderizing the characters and give them better arcs that have them grow as people, and give us way more eldritch style yomi shit, the endings to burst renewal were great with all the stuff going on but we need way more orochi style bosses and enemies in general

New Hebijou is cool though so they can stay so long as they add some character depth for Imu and Ryouna since those two are pretty shit and only serve to give Murasaki and Ryoubi some backstory.

Estival Versus is the first Senran that I played and aside from the "tiddies girls fanservice" It was fun to me, the soundtrack is cool and I want to buy Burst Renewal to get more in the franchise. Just wish to see more animated cutscenes and local coop like Ultimate Ninja Storm thing

Mash up Burst Renewal and Deep Crimson's gameplay styles (Mostly based in DC but keep the parry/guard systems and the enemy indicators from BR, make character control feel more on BR's side as well since the movesets flow better in the Versus series games) and make online coop through the entire campaign a primary focus again like it was in DC. Scrap all other Versus series style multiplayer, it's all worthless and unplayable even on PC. Stop throwing all the bones in a few characters' courts and instead spread them out better, staying to separated campaigns seems to be all that the team can handle since any attempt at consolidating them makes narrative and focus issues 100x worse than they already are without split campaigns. Go back to the tone that Burst and Shinovi's main narratives had and keep the fanservice stuff as something that happens to be there rather than trying to force it like they have recently. Scrap the half-assed side missions and put that effort and bolster the main campaign's stage and CG counts instead.

Honestly I think fighting games are the only genre it's relatively easy to make a good anime game in. Something like Ultimate Ninja Storm or the 2D DBZ fighter would probably be for the best, since musou games are kind of inherently dull.

Having characters and plot jerking off to Yumi does not add any personality to Yumi whatsoever. Rewriting the story just to jerk off to Yumi to being the "perfect" character does not add any depth onto her.

Takaki just needs to realize what brought in all the fans was a surprisingly grounded story that made you like the characters with the fanservice being there but not a major part of the whole thing. Yeah, Katsuragi groped the girls and you could tear their clothes off with attacks, but that's not what defined the series, it was just a part of a whole. Now it seems more like the fanservice is at the forefront while the characterization and story is in the back. The fact that they thought Burst was too dark should prove they need to get their head in the game and cut a lot of what they're doing out. The fact that they keep adding new characters that aren't just guest characters like Nep, Ayame, or the DOA crew and then do nothing with them really shows tat they're sort of just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.

The fact we've only seen Yoma in Burst and DC is ridiculous, they're such an interesting part of the world and the entire shinobi world revolves around it yet only Miyabi seems to have ever been affected by them at all until Kagura appeared. The fact that PBS had a more serious story than EV is ridiculous.

You can easily make it so when you drop below certain health thresholds you lose parts of your clothing, you can go into Frantic which doubles your speed or doubles the attacks you do but makes you a glass cannon, you can have your attacks do the same to the enemies, have fire attacks burn clothes off, etc.

A JRPG would really do well with the formula simply because you have character development, a story to follow, really neat Yoma designs that get underused, you can bring back a hell of a lot of customization options for the girls in both clothing and weaponry (They already have multiple weapon concepts completed thanks to DC), they always have neat areas you can visit they're just usually battle arenas rather than areas you can run around, and you have a whole host of friendly girls to meet along with a common goal to center the story with. I would just hope it's a small scope one and not just yet another DRPG or Roguelike which everyone seems to love making. They're all well and good but I'd rather see a small scale JRPG with the girls, it really lends itself to what they currently have on their hands.

This series seems like it still doesn't know what it wants to be, it jumps between edgey shit like Asuka bleeding out on the street and cliche girls stripping themselves and blushing.

Congrats, you played the best game in the series speaking of both story and gameplay in the Playstation games. I still feel SK2 is the best game in the whole franchise and worth a remaster/remake for the Switch but that's just me.
As for best girl by stats, Daidouji and Rin could be there for being the strongest and quickest character respectively.

It wants to be lighthearted with serious tones when the backstory is more way serious with lighthearted tones sprinkled throughout. Hell, DC is all about fighting murderous Yoma who each can kill uncountable numbers of people while Hanzo goes off to kill Kagura because she's a threat to the world by existing but Asuka tells the Ninja Council to screw off and befriends her and Naraku instead. Burst has most of the Renegade girls murdering people in cold blood, Hebijo being assassins for hire without any remorse, the backstories on the girls being all pretty grim, the entire Crimson Squad committing suicide, etc.
SV and PBS make this a bit lighter but you still have some pretty depressing backstories on Miyabi, they still bring up how much of a threat Yoma are and how much to prepare for them, and basically preach that a post-graduation life is incredibly difficult because you're juggling keeping the world safe from Yoma just slaughtering a town wholesale and keeping up your assassinations or defending against assassins when you're not dealing with Yoma.

Obviously Bon Appetit and the Switch games are simply lighthearted side games with the same cast (That all die to Shin according to PBS) and there's nothing wrong with levity or some fun moments here and there, but with both Burst and DC they had a balance of characterization, fanservice, and light-heardedness while still having seriousness in between. That's what drove people to the series, they just had the thought that people played the games for the fanservice and the girls rather than the entire package that they had.
