Ninja Gaiden: Black is pretty baller, but if you want to play it make sure you get the Black version. Vanilla Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma + are inferior versions of it. Kind of hard to explain why to someone who hasn't played it. Vanilla just has less features in general, including not having a freely controllable camera. Also the Izuna Drop move is OP as fuck.

Ninja Gaiden 2 is literally 10 times more autistic Black.

The gameplay is fucking retarded and balanced around completely abusing i-frames to avoid taking damage and it's deliberately filled with bullshit GOTCHA attacks because Itagaki had to make sure it was more "hardcore" than Black.

It would be funny if it wasn't at the expense of the quality of the game.

you're just not snapping to after rolling enough

graphical "upgrades" make the game look weird and there's slowdown in a bunch of places that wasn't there in the xbox version. it's like the difference between CS 1.6 and CS:Source. The new engine they dropped it into just changes the feel of the game too much.

Flying swallow and dodging/movement feels the most off.
