Rainworld

Where the fuck should I go after Industrial Wastes? I see these weird humanoid guys but they don't seem to attack me unless I get close.

I've only found one gate to the "Chimney Canopy" but fuck knows where I'm meant to go

Follow where the yellow dude points you.

Go wherever you can

he doesn't point me anywhere
I try going through room doors that he appears near but that leads me in circles

I found a gate to Garbage Wastes, I'm gonna try there

Did you just start? I think you went in WAY the wrong direction.

FUCK SHADED CITADEL!!!!

Shoreline was so comfy bros why did it have to end why am I stuck in this fucking dark ass trash bin I hate chasing down these stupid mice!!!!

A baba thread died for this.

Any guide to getting good in this game? The advance movement seems neat but it's impossible to pull of half of the moves

I started a couple days ago. I went from the first area into the Industrial Complex, and just found my way into the Garbage Wastes.

I hope I get to meet my family at the end, that'd be cute

Chimney as a noob is pain. Leave while you can.

yeah I'd just restart the game lmao, you're meant to go into shaded citadel my dude

oh well, fuck it. I'll go back and rest and find another gate then

Pay attention to what icon shows when he's pointing. If it's the ayy lmao face, that's the one you're looking for.

He usually shows a weird little triangle or the bats, and sometimes a weird pentagon hologram.

So what the fuck is the lore of this shitty world? I can't be fucked gathering 40 gorillion peppers

>but it's impossible to pull of half of the moves

Play with a keyboard or use a controller that has a half-decent dpad

Garbage wastes is a perfectly fine way to go, it will take you to the same place as shaded would have

You GO to shaded citadel FROM industrial, which is where he was at

Honestly OP you can go anywhere from Industrial except Chimney Canopy, that wont lead you anywhere good

I've been stuck for days in memory crypts. Even if I go at a decent pace and get really really lucky with the scissor chicken things, the rain comes and I run out of time before I can see any hint of a shelter. Also have 0 food so will be screwed even if there is a shelter I won't be able to use it

There's guaranteed centipedes near the gate to the next area and fruit around the shelter there so don't worry about food. Use the purple flashbangs if those clipperduck assholes are in the way and you're in a hurry.

go back, get some food stocked then. memory crypts was super easy for me barring the very end, the guys don't really pass more than once in a blue moon

Is keyboard actually better for this game? I've been using DS4.

Maybe youre taking it too slow
Unless you get the absolute shortest day, you can make it through memory with enough time to get to the shelter

Having played through the whole thing with both controller and keyboard I'd have to say yes. Advanced moves in particular are way easier to pull off.

The birds seem to travel in groups of like 5-6 and there's always like at least two groups going in opposite directions so I can't really avoid running into them. Also can't really spend any time hiding since even if I go as fast as I can without spending any time waiting for birds to pass rain starts up just as I'm reaching the third warp pipe.
Also unsure where to get food where I am. Had so much trouble with the room before my current shelter because of having to throw like 4 Spears into walls total and only having 1 free hand due to the light source

Reminder the hunter was made literally to exterminate high threat predators
which explains the survivor or and monk are easier and that the score system is NSH's rating of how well a hunter did as the harder to kill the more points you get
there is a cure for the rot it's a certain microorganism created in the garbage waste

You can use the glowing fruits to stun them. Always have one in hand to throw

>there's no karma flowers when you play as Hunter
>Hunter leaves behind a karma flower when they permamently die
>You can come across many karma flowers when playing as Survivor or Monk

Don't listen.
Outskirt > Industrial > Garbage > ??? is a perfectly fine route and the one I follow every time.

Ancient civilization is trapped in a cycle of death and rebirth, they want out
eventually find a way but it's not quite there yet and some end up stuck in half-living/half-dead state
build giant organic supercomputers to figure out a solution
computers start draining all water to cool down their systems and fucking up all the surounding ecosystem
civilization decides to migrate on top of the computers, above the clouds to avoid the rain caused by the cooling down
grow desperate and eventually all go for their initial solution to escape the cycle, some end up stuck
you're a slugcat, a purposed organism crated/mutated by the computers to ensure the maintenance of pipes, you were separated from your family after the rain started pouring and now you're alone

Baba vs slug cat. We need art of this.

>second spoiler
Where did you read that?

SLUG IS CAT

I don't want detailed spoilers, I just want to know-does Slugcat get back to his family?

In a sense

>told to go to the depths
>suffer through the water shithole and filtration system
>finally get there
>spooky weird shit at the start
>gets spookies and spookier
>everything is warping
>reality is fucking breaking down oh god what the fuck is that
I am still unsure of what I saw but I finished the game, apparently.

hahahaha

Did credits roll?

Yes, that's how I know I finished it.

Good job, you finally escaped the cycle user
