How are the Gundam G Gen games? The only thing I don't like about SRW games is how piss easy they are.

It's a SRPG

They're usually a bit challenging at the start but unless you're a literal retard, challenge yourself (keep with era relavent units, etc.) or make a big mistake (challenging tonnes of units at once or activating all the bonus missions at once) then you'll quickly overpower your enemies.
Very few units will reach a dead-end on their evolution tree that you can't fix.
They are fun, though.

strategy game, turn based, lots of cutscenes and interactions between characters of various series.

SRPG, big focus of the series is increasingly over the top/flashy/long attack animations.

I feel like this franchise already peaked with Z-Z2-Z3 for me and I have no motivation to try more of them unless they shake up the formula or by some miracle create a game that has ~80-100% of my dream roster in it.

I miss the old SRW games, with its fast paced gameplay with the W move, fun stuff like L-Gaim characters using FFS mecha, Ex-S Gundam, Layzner enemies using Devil Gundam, Super Robot pilots having Soul

It's not just you. It seems like most of the talented animators moved onto the OG team after Z and Z2. Gun x Sword is one of the better animated series in T. I'm wondering if the people that animated Macross Frontier in Z2 worked on any series for T.
