What are these garbage boss fights? Why is Haruka such an annoying little shit? Why is slugger Majima so fucking broken and anti-fun? It feels like they put zero effort into this remake. Just reskinned the ps2 cutscenes and reused assets from other games.

Well the main problem I had with this one is how broken are the bosses. It shows that it is a remake of a PS2 game.
It's like porting GTA III's gameplay on GTA V engine. It would be prettier but it would drive me fucking insane with how clunky it is now.

Oh yeah, the bosses' health regen was shit. Especially when you need the Dragon style's Kiwami move. You can't dot shit for a while since you don't unlock it at the beginning like the others.
Majima everywhere should have ended once you max it out. Once the rewards stop, it´s just tedious. I also have to agree with most people itt that some of the bosses were just total fucking bullshit. Not as in "not possible to beat" more like "incredibly annoying to beat". Breakdance bros, first Shimano fight (because you´re not that comfortable with the fighting system yet) and the fight at the helipad with 3 high-HP enemies (two will revive once beaten) really pissed me off to no end. Another thing was that you´re way too easy to get knocked down and it takes too long to get up sometimes.
Other than that, I absolutely loved every second of it and I´m really hoping for a soonish PC-release of K2.

with one of the skills you don't lose durability while calm. once you're in heat just unequip and do a regular heat move and repeat the cycle

Majima Everywhere was the only good thing about that pile of shit. Kiwami is so devoid of content it would be a 3 hour game without it, with nothing interesting to break up the easy, monotonous fights.
Yeah, it's not 0. Is there anything original in Kiwami aside from Memejima? I feel like every single minigames is stripped down copy of one found in 0, while there are less of them overall.

I found Breaker to be far worse. With Slugger you just circle him and go for it, breaker just spins around for 10 seconds as you are forced to either wait or super armor through it with Beast.
Also, 0bab here btw, I feel like both 0 and new cutscenes in Kiwami add to the plot, since it is very personal story for Kiryu and everyone might as well be out of cardboard in this story without those additions.

I guess, since I've actually bothered to finish MesuKing storyline while in 0 I didn't touch it beyond story reasons.
Durability system ruins the weapons in all the games that feature it because you have to constantly Repair Kit or run back to Kamiyami (and in the originals you couldn't even repair them so they were one-time only weapons) and weapons are obscenely overpowered on the level of Tiger Drop so it feels like you're cheesing when you use them as well. Almost all weapons bypass guards and certain weapons have effects like the Colorful Parasol, that golden thing Shinada can use in 5 that knocks enemies down every single time you hit them with it, the elemental swords, etc.
Majima everywhere is ok, the slugger style fights are not.

The dude listened to Doc Brown and played video games in his brain just because, he constantly plays arcade games for people despite acting like he doesn't care, he's a big dork when it comes to chatting with girls, he goes out of his way to help Taichi get a nude mag I think several times, he can dress Mitsuo like this to get him a date, he tends to play minigames to the point of being a savant beating people who have been doing it for years if not decades just to do something, etc.

It also goes on much longer than it needs to. By rank B or something you've pretty much an all he has to offer and have fought him a bunch of times but the game will won't let you unlock everything and forces you to grind his now extremely repetitive fights. Terrible implementation
