This semester is pretty easy, so I have time for both my gf and vidya

I'm 30, I work as a Postie starting from 4 or 5am in the morning. I'm home in a range of time from 12pm to 4pm. There's still plenty of time before bed, I also don't work weekends.

I work between 35 and 40 hs a week and live 10 minutes away from my workplace, I have plenty of time and money to do whatever I want, but at 31 I feel that spending a lot of time on vidya is a waste of time, I just do it ocassionally with friends on weekends when I'm not living the normie life.

Used to vidya all the time back in college. Now I'm 30, working 40 hours a week, and I feel like I just don't have the time to really get invested in a game anymore. Work takes about 9 hours out of my day, sleep another 9 hours if I'm lucky. Daily chores and other assorted overhead like meals takes another couple hours a day. Between all that I only have 4 hours a day where I can really do what I want.
So I only play stuff that I can pick up and play for like 20 minutes at a time.

I'm not surprised. Coding has become a trendy career path. There's probably tons of people trying to go into it who know nothing about it and don't really have an interest in it. When I got my CS degree there were a ton of people in the major at first, but by the time I was graduating there were only like 30 people left who all attended the same classes. I expect it's even worse now.

Hell, I almost dropped out of the major myself because of all the calculus requirements and I've been coding since I was like 12.

I've spent about 6-7 months around the summer working and 5-6 months unemployed for the last few years. I save up enough to travel a bit and drink a lot during my time off. It's a living.
