Ninja Gaiden is dead, they aren't adding irrelevant characters in as DLC. Kasumi is the only one they would pick & Tecmo stated that they want her in. He's a glorfied Literal who for most gamers at this point

Remember, you are looking for characters that are ICONIC! like recognizable at a glance, in the middle of a busy screen, covered in particle effects. Most of those characters really are not stylized enough. Maybe Sol Badguy but I would pick a different character first if we were repping Guilty Gear.

MK's problem isn't the gore (MK guests worked fine in Injustice) the problem is that Japan doesn't get the games and they have no nostalgic value to them the same way the West does
MK has the history and even Boon supported the idea of Scorpion in Smash once but that doesn't matter when the Nips wouldn't care for it or even understand why they'd do it

Yeah Terry is pretty iconic, but compare him to how stylized the rest of the cast is, save the Marth Clones. He looks like a reskined Ryu in that light. Most fighting games have the problem where their man characters are just human dudes who punch people. Smash tends to have REALLY outthere character designs. I wouldn't say not to add him, but the line is long and there are a lot of better candidates.

Mai is nothing without her huge ass titties, and Smash is TECHNICALLY still a game for kids too. Cant have moms freaking out when they see little billy zooming in on cleavage.

Every smash character comes from a game that is somewhat safe. MK is known mainly for being a cartoon gorefest. The characters are actually really good fits for Smash Bros but the second anyone sees SubZero on the roster they are going to think the game is too violent and Nintendo looses sales.

Speaking of Namco, what's going on with their representation? They're the ones working closest with Sora on the game and yet they're the only third party with one rep besides Square. Not to mention Pac Maze getting cut, and pic related doesn't even have a Spirit.
