>Doom isn't a horror game
Doom isn't a horror game
>brutal doom
It was pretty spooky back in the day
Daggerfall was way worse though
zoomers think horror means scary
I didn't play it till years later on the pc but by virtue of soundtrack alone I would call doom 64 a horror game. Funny how the atmosphere almost completely changes when you drop the hard rock of the original.
What else is it when you have five health, there are no medpacks anywhere near you and you're knee deep in the dead?
it is horror
By your logic Mortal Kombat is horror.
The only two "horror" Doom games are Doom 64 & Doom 3.
a bit of a tissy
Horror games are not scary because you respawn
You should seriously check out Brutal Doom 64. It doesn't have finishing moves or the other hallmarks of the series. The lighting and atmosphere effects are damn impressive, and it plays just as any other classic Doom does. It really makes Doom 64 stand out in the series.
What if Doomguy was British?
Guess Fortnite is a horror game then.
>nothing is scary except dying
Vinnie Jones
Oh fuck yeah
>havin a bit of a bovver, cunting imps just warped in
If he was British then he wouldn't have been able to pick up a gun
scary monsters and bloody and guts =/= horror
and pretty much any good game has tense moments, duh
Kek
>It doesn't have finishing moves or the other hallmarks of the series
Holy fuck do retards actually think glory kills were in the original? Jesus Christ.
It's called bait, sweety, and you fell for it.
>When at one point you colonize Mars, but now Mars colonizes you
The hallmarks of the Brutal Doom series, chief, not the hallmarks of the Doom series.
if horror doesn't fit that definition then there are a lot of horror movies that aren't horror
>Daggerfall was way worse though
Scared me shitless as a kid. You weren't even safe in town with wraiths chasing you down and could even follow you into buildings.
me on the right
Daggerfall you say. Do go on.
