No.
What is the appeal? Cute girls. Is the storyline/gameplay good? Not really.
Advice? When a real world segment starts, push the black senson pad in hte center of your PS4 controller and select Save in a new slot. It will save you a lot of time backtracking to farm bad ends.
>Is the storyline/gameplay good?
Yes.
I've looked at the gameplay and it seems monumentally boring.
The kind of game that moe obsessed japanophiles play in their basement, the kind of person that basically doesn't give much of a fuck about good gameplay as long as it has cute waifus and the stale old ass PS2 jrpg "feel" to it.
The kind of person that will generally deflect any criticism towards these games with something idiotic like "go back to COD" like anyone gives a fuck about COD in 2019 but they're so out of touch they can't even tell anymore.
That being said it's not like i want the game to fail or anything.
I'm a fan of extremely niche series myself and some of them are dead/dying, ideally the market should be composed of all kinds of different games, even those that i find inspid and boring, i'm sure there's people out there that rank these kind of games as their favorites and they should be allowed to keep enjoying them.

Trust me, it's good
No
What's a better version of this game? Like is there any fanservice JRPG that is genuinely good?
I've heard from everyone that 99% of this "game" is VN segments. What is the actual gameplay like? Turn based? Action based? Good boss fights?
Doesn't even have wiki article
I'll give it a try eventually. I'm hoping to get into the new Steam beta.

Whats good about it?
Is it like persona 5?
From what I understand it has multiple genres, and that's its gimmick
"Turn-Based RPGs Flipped Upside Down – In this turn-based command battle system, you can roam freely and duke it out with fearsome monsters. During battle, players can change the game’s genre from a first-person shooter to even a fighting game!"
If you want a game like Persona 5, this might sound crazy, but try Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Never
Hmm Grand Battle comes out in 2 days on steam if I was going to play an RPG I would go with that.
The advertising makes a bigger deal about that feature than the game does. Genre changing is essentially a glorified 5-second minigame that you probably won't bother using for the majority of the game.
Fug
That's kinda lame. I was hoping it was sort of like you getting to choose which genre'd you'd fight with or something. I like some of the newer Compile Heart games so I'll still give it a try of course but I was hoping it'd be more out there as far as their usual stuff goes.
terrible recommendation
Yeah I can’t wait
Yeah
Did you play the demo?
Apparently you can load in the demo save in retail and continue it
I already did, and I liked it.
That bad end you can get in the volcano where everyone is begging you to kill them, and they're all screaming that they want to die is the first thing that's actually disturbed me in a video game in like 20 years.
>Recommending a masterpiece to people who like terribly overhyped meme games.
same
Yeah
Yeah it was awsome
Yeah
Hey Compile and IF, we know you retards post here, well, want me to buy your games? Here's an advice, put actual effort on your stories, not everything has to be cringy flashy weebshit or stay you can stay at that pathetic level, whatever.
I plan to much steam won't let me purchase it yet.
Stop shilling your garbage glorified VN.
as someone who finished it already, the only things that reminded me of persona 5 are the final chapter of the game (somewhat), and how sometimes there'd be obstacles in the dungeons that you have to switch to the real world to solve.
Will pirate it day 1 on PC.
CH games aren't worth a single dime of my money.
Is it good then or just okay?
i really liked it, but how much you'll enjoy it is directly correlated to how much patience you have for lengthy vn segments.
